Summary: It's About Time....Yah for Black Erotica!!!
Review: Okay, Addicted gets four stars from me only because I feel the beginning of the story line was unnecessary. Basically, one-fourth of the book was devoted to talking about Zoe's childhood and how she and her current husband met, starting back at elementary school/junior high school years all the way up through high school. For me, it was just a little too detailed. A single chapter could've been devoted to this. I understand that the author wanted us to have a clear idea of Zoe's dedication to her husband, what they've been through together and the development of their relationship. However, it was a bit too much. I found myself silently saying "Hurry Up Already". Yah, I was a bit restless since I knew it was a novel spiced up with sensuality and eroticism. So, be forewarned. For those of you ready to get to the nitty gritty, it may be a short wait. BUT, when the story finally gets moving, it heats up! Zoe is a trip. You find yourself emphathizing with the fact that she tries constantly to communicate to her husband that she isn't satisfied sexually only to have him turn his back on those feelings. Ugh!!! She does try, but soon her need to "feel" gets the best of her and she tip toes out. You feel her pain because, outside of sex, her marriage is great and one we all wish we had or will have. But, the marriage is not enough to satisfy that itch that won't go away. And that's what Zoe is battling. The girl takes on three lovers. Yes, three!! While finally being satisfied sexually and beyond her wildest dreams, she's in turmoil and her lies start to unravel, not to mention her great life. Basically, the story takes you on this journey with Zoe. There are quite a few ups and downs and plenty of surprises with every turn of the page. If you're interested in something different, check this book out. It's definetly a pleasure to read, especially because its from a sistah's perspective (refreshing!).

Review: Addicted will have you addicted from the first page. My mouth fell open from some of Zoe's escapades. After I found out the root of the problem, I was in crying for Zoe. The suspense and erotic theme was great.

Summary: Much More Than Erotica
Review: When I first heard about this book, everyone was calling it erotica. While the sex scenes in the novel are intense, this book is much more than erotica. My first shock was when my husband, who never reads anything unless it is mandatory for work, walked through the front door with both this book and Zane's other book The Sex Chronicles. Now, that's erotica. :-)As a married woman who has endured ups and downs in my relationship of over twenty years, Addicted opened my eyes to a lot of things and made me question my own motives for certain behavior. It is a crisp, honest look at what can happen to a marriage when the lines of communication break down. It also shows what miracles can occur when the lines are reopened, which is what happened after my husband and I both read the book. For the first time in our twenty-three year marriage, my husband actually asked me about my desires. Thanks to Zane and Addicted, things have never been better. I loved the part of the book that explored their childhoods because it provided tremendous insight into the reasoning behind the madness. As children, girls are taught that certain things are taboo and that often trickles over into adulthood, as it did with the main character of this novel. Addicted is an excellent read and Zane is an excellent author.

Summary: Everything I Had Heard And More
Review: Addicted had me hooked from page one. Zane is a master storyteller and Addicted is a wonderfully-crafted novel. The main character, Zoe, is a woman that many of us probably pass on the street on a daily basis without recognizing the secrets she locks away from the outside world. Not only was Addicted an excellent read, it could also serve as a theraputic vehicle for people suffering from the same illness: sexual addiction or any addiction for that matter. After reading a previous comment, I have to express my opinion by saying that Addicted is far from teen reading material. I am the mother of teenagers and this novel is definitely for adults. This is the first book I have read by Zane but it will definitely not be the last. Addicted is a page turner that will keep you up all night wondering what will happen next.

Review: I expected so much more from all the hype surrounding this novel. The writing was solid in the voice of the children and teenage years which leads me to believe the author may well be suited to write for that age bracket. When it came to the adult portions, I was disappointed.

Summary: EXCELLENT,SUSPENSEFUL,ENCHANTING...
Review: I really enjoyed this book. Not only was it a fast read, but a good read, at one point, I could not put the book down. Addition is addition, but, I never thought of being addicted to sex. Zane was able to focus on her addition and the problems that the addition caused in Zoe personal life and professional life. Jason, Zoe husband was a little different. Personally, I thought he should have informed Zoe that he was adopted prior to their getting married, but he didnt, that piece of information came out later. All in all, this was a fantastic book. the family relationship was tight and thank God because if Zoe married anyone else, her ending might not have turned out the way it did, and everyone was satisfied in the end. This book should be made into a movie, it is just that good and I will continue to read her writing. Zane, may the force be with you...

Review: Addicted is a story of deep down true love with a tightly woven plot that leaves you guessing until the very end. Zane's writing style and surprise twists makes her novel a refreshing read with loads of tastefully done erotic scenes! Her characters built a love that as a reader I was able to believe deeply in. A fast paced love, lust and what's missing story that is a must have on your shelves.

Review: Zane does it again! Addicted is a novel which will keep you on the edge of your seat. It has love, murder, infidelity and much more to keep you on a rollercoaster of emotion. I recommend this book highly and was very please the way true love was portrayed to the very end. Absolutely WONDERFUL!
