Rating: Summary: More than Erotica Review: Initially, I had no idea what to expect when I first sat down to read Addicted. For months, I heard countless praises of Zane's second novel. Naturally, I felt that I would be let down and that all the hype would be about nothing. Boy, was I wrong! I was Addicted to Addicted from page one.To me, this book is not about erotica but about the power of love to overcome all obstacles. Meet Zoe, a woman who has it all, beautiful children, home, husband and a thriving career. Yet deep down her life is not what it appears and starts falling apart at the seams. In her quest to overcome her illness (sexual addiction) she begins to seek help. Thanks to Zane, she gives her character depth and allows us to see Zoe's vulnerability, which helps you to not view her as loose, but a woman in need of guidance. Throughout this novel, you witness Zoe embark on a path of self-destruction, but never losing sight on what matters most to her, her family. It is that love of her family, that forces her to seek therapy. That love that makes her take a long hard look at herself and God forbid a glimpse into her past, where all the dark hidden secrets of yesteryear are revealed. In the interim, it also forces Zoe to come clean with her husband about her double life. I immediately thought Jason would run for the hills, but instead he stood by her, and together they uncovered things that enable both of them to move forward. This book is packed with mystery, suspense and yes steamy hot sex scenes that leave you breathless. However, its so much more, its about truth, love and more importantly, forgiveness. It also forces you to look at things beyond the surface, and realize that people are not always who they appear to be. I highly recommend this book to anyone, but fasten your seatbelt as Zane takes you on a roller coaster ride. Zane has a wonderful creative mind, and I look forward to following her career. She did an EXCEPTIONAL job with Addicted. Thanks for sharing with the world, that it is by choice that we choose to remain a hostage to our fears and that its okay to reach out for help. :)
Rating: Summary: Simply Riveting!!! Review: Whew!! I'm out of breath. I just finished reading "Addicted" and I have never felt so completely exhausted by any other book. There was so much going on, but it was all pieced together beautifully. My heart raced through much of this incredibly entertaining story. This is my first experience with Zane's writing, but I must say, she has won me over. My feelings for Zoe were mixed because the love she felt for Jason was evident throughout, but it was also evident that she had a serious problem. The same was true for Jason. I empathized with both of these characters, because their love for one another was so intense, but their inner demons were overshadowing every good thing in their marriage. I went through this story in a matter of hours, collectively about 6, give or take a few minutes. I'm telling you, I was riveted. Check it out. Zane's got skills.

YOU JUST HAVE TO READ IT.....IT IS MOST DEFINITLY WELL WORTH THE [PRICE].....THE LOVE JASON HAD FOR ZOE WAS GREAT.....HE WAS SO SWEET TO HER IT MADE ME CRY TO HOW HE REACTED WHEN HE FOUND OUT WHAT SHE HAD DID TO HIM......THIS BOOK WAS REAL DEEP......AND THE ENDING JUST CATCHES YOU OFF GUARD THE ENDING WAS SO UNEXPECTED...IM TELLING YOU INSTEAD IF READING PEOPLES REVIEWS GO READ THE BOOK...... ;O) ......YOU WON'T REGRET IT
Rating: Summary: Addicted Me Review: This book was excellent although some of the timelines earlier on seemed to refer to events in the 70's and 80's in an incorrectly dated manner. One example is that nobody was using the term "boo" for their lover back then. Other than that I really enjoyed it, and can only wish that I had a husband so wonderful and a sex life so fulfilling. I would like to do everything 'freaky' that she did with all of her men, with my husband. (I can dream can't I?)
Rating: Summary: Fun with More than One! Review: What's a girl to do when hubby just ain't cuttin' it in the sheets? So you've got the dreamboat husband, the fabulous house, beautiful kids, and your own thriving business. Sistah-gurl has got it going on! Life, as she knows it should be perfect. At least it looks that way to everyone on the outside looking in. WRONG!! What starts as a dalliance with one lover quickly grows to dalliances with three, each fulfilling a different need. But see, the only person Zoe wants to fill that need is her husband Jason and he's just not listening to what she's trying to tell him. How can you deal with someone else's issues when your are not dealing with your own? Finally, in desperation, Zoe seeks the help of a therapist, she wonders if its too late to save her troubled marriage. As Zoe fights desperately to keep her live from crumbling in shambles around her, secrets she would never have believed start coming at her from all fronts. Soon, however, just as Zoe thinks she getting on solid footing from the slippery path she's been following, once again things go awry when one of her ex-lovers seems to be trying to kill her. Addicted is as different from the Sex Chronicles as night and day. On the surface it seems that it is a book that is simply about a woman addicted to sex. Again, WRONG. It is about so much more than just that. It brings into focus the importance of people dealing honestly with each other, and that when things get beyond your control, it's okay to seek the help of a professional. For too long, therapy has been seen as a stigma and that we should deal with our problems on our own, the best way we know how. Well sometimes it doesn't work like that. Good job Zane for telling one hell of a story!!! I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for something new, fresh and different. It's a book you won't soon forget.
Rating: Summary: HOT! Review: Whooooooooooooo! This book is hot. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen. Zane is a great writer. I went out and purchased this book after reading all these great reviews, and I can say I am glad I did. This is a book you can't or don't want to put down. Great Job Zane! I'm off to buy her next book.
Rating: Summary: Addict--- Addicted--Addiction!!!!!!! Review: Zane takes you on a roller coaster ride with this book. Just when you think you can handle the curves she adds a loop that throws you off track. Steamy and unforgettable. "This is forever. Always has been! Always will be." Those were the words that Zoe and Jason said to remind themselves of the committment they vowed to one another. Childhood sweethearts that marry, produce three children and a home for themselves that outsiders would envy. Dream careers and enough cash to do whatever but can their marriage survive addiction. Hmmmmmm.
Rating: Summary: ONE OF A KIND NOVEL!! Review: I have absolutely NEVER read a book like this one...; the storyline was fabulous and encompassed absolutely everything...love, sex, deceit, adultery, drama..this book has it all! I so loved the story behind the relationship between Zoe and Jason; the fact that they were childhood sweethearts, and that we grew up with them in the book. I was completely shocked at her affairs and the fact that there were several..but I so loved all of the drama that inevitably accompanied them! Let's all applaud Zane for not being afraid to show the world, especially the African-American world that: 1). Often times it is women who are involved in the adulterous behavior 2). All of us could perhaps stand a little mental health intervention every now and again. Hats off to you Zane, for going where no one has gone before...at least not to the extent that you did!

She decides to take a lover and ends up with multiple lovers providing her with mind-blowing, make-ya-wanna-holler love making.
