Summary: Cure for the Addiction
Review: I read the author's previous work (The Sex Chronicles) and was looking forward to a extension of that work. I was particulary interested in a women's point of view in erotic literature. Unfortunately, I can't say I came away with a better impression of the author. As a previous reviewer noted, the character was not convincing considering the build up that began the story. For this character to suddenly feel the need to explore her sexuality and just as suddenly feel she has an addiction seemed contrived and unseemly. I would have preferred an exploration (as the author did in some of her earlier work) of the character's sexuality and subsequent evaluation. Maybe she could have asked "Am I addicted or do I just like sex?" The author glossed over an encounter that easily could have been used as a way to explore an honest examination of the characters sexual needs and drawn conclusion that would have (IMO) been more satisfying than say knocking off so many people to get a nice clean ending. I don't mean to discourage anyone from the author's work, I do feel however that she and her editor's could have turned this into a very nice novel, rather than an extended and somewhat unsatifying short story.

Summary: This book was more than i expected
Review: When i saw the book i thought it was all going to be erotic i wasn't going to read it until my friend thought i should buy it. I read the book in three days i never wanted to put it down what made it real to me and not all about sex was the murder and drama it shocked me how she threw that in and it mixed so well. Everything was happening to this poor woman who had everything but in reality she was putting herself and her family through so much... All in all i loved the book and i would recommend it to anyone for a different style of reading.

Summary: UNBELIEVEABLE (LITERALLY)!
Review: I got wind of this book as a recommendation from Amazon. After reading the reviews of praise, I decided to check it out at the library. I give all praise to the library, which lets you get books for free and I'm happy I did just that. Without spoiling it for those that choose to read it, let's just say this is fiction in the truest form.

Now the book is not all bad. It has a good story line and could have possibly been a really good book, except for the far fetched phenomenons that result throughout the course of this novel. The erotica in the book is truly HOT, that's why I bumped this up to a 3 star rating.

Basically, the book is about a woman who has a sex addiction and her sex partners cause her ALOT OF DRAMA, big time. This novel has several twists and turns.

Not a terrible novel, but for the editor it could have used a little facelift. Alot of the slang used in Zoe's childhood is slang we use today and was non-existant in that era. For the ending it was just too much for me, I like to read a book and it seem real not like I know I'm reading a book. If you like erotica you'll enjoy, I just like a little more realism and substance. I can not deny, it is a SEXUAL THRILLER!

Summary: Too bad there is no 0 stars option...
Review: The story is the most predictable, the language is at fifth grade level, and an 'average customer rating' is four and a half stars?!! Something is wrong here... Anyway, don't waste your time on this book, pick something else.

Summary: Maybe its just me but ---- What was all the hype about...???
Review: For some reason, I thought this would be a 5 star book. Was I ever wrong. I read this book because my hair stylist had recommended it. Now, don't get me wrong, it was a decent book to read but it wasn't nearly as great as she claimed it to be. The author's writing style was juvenile in my opinion. She seemed to be cramming too many things to happen at the end of the book, when at the same time, she wasted too many chapters explaining Zoe's childhood life. She could have wrapped all of the childhood flashbacks into one chapter. I understand Zoe was supposed to be a sex addict but most of the things she did were not believable. Zoe didn't even have sex until the middle of the book. I almost put it down. She NEVER ONCE MENTIONED SAFE SEX and NEVER EVER used condoms whenever she did have [intercourse]. Not to mention the fact that she had met 3 people and IMMEDIATELY began having affairs with them. As much as she preached about loving her husband Jason so much, it makes you wonder if she ever thought about what would happen if she gave him a sexual disease. How would she be able to explain? I just don't get it...The whole thing about Zoe being "afraid" to tell Jason how she felt about sex was too unbelievable because from the moment they met, Zoe was never one to hold her tongue. So, the author wants us to believe that Zoe would rather masturbate and play with herself rather than tell her husband that he needs to do it in more than just the "missionary position". Too unreal. Furthermore, how "convenient" was it for Jason to admit that he had some underlying issues about sex from his past at the same time Zoe admitted her issues?... And, who in the world has that kind of bad luck from one day to the next? NO ONE. Not to mention that all of the people she had affairs with were unrealistically over obsessed with her. Didn't any of them have their own relationships prior to meeting Zoe? Why were all of them so obsessed with her sex to the point that they stalked her? Men who use you for sex, normally do just that... I just don't get it. I continue to laugh at the fact that at the end of the book... Overall, this book was okay to read but there is definitely nothing erotic about it which is what I thought it would be.

Summary: What does love have to do with it?
Review: Addictive delivers the true meaning of undying love, family, friendship, heartache and most of all lessons in being true to thy self. Once opening the book, I could not stop reading. Each page leaves you wanting more. The main character, Zoe, expresses fantasies and fears that many women can relate to in one form or another. The ending leaves one question unanswered, "What's love got to do with it?"

Summary: "TO HOTT TO HOLD"
Review: This book was well worth the money spent!! I haven't read a good book like this in a while one that unfolds little by little to the end. Some of the events caught me by surprise by the end of the book. But..that really goes to show that true love really can stand the test with time. I was very hurt by the death of her best friend but if you don't end a bad relationship there's no good ending. Keeping their kids of the terrible mess was by far a good choice so when things did get better they didn't have to feel like they needed to choose sides with either parent. I am passing my book around at work and everybody's reading it so keep up the good work for the next book!!!!!
