Summary: Trashy, Not Classy or Erotic
Review: I agree with the other readers that this book had just too much going on. Every plot cliche you can think of was in this book. There was no real motivation behind the characters actions, and I can't believe the husband didn't want to have oral sex. There were a lot of sub-plots that did seem like after-thoughts, the affair with Diamond, the friend getting murdered, it was all just too much, and the writing never rose above a junior high level.

Summary: Where is the talent?
Review: I can only describe the writing as a cross between a 6-year old being naughty and a male trucker hooked on pornography. Sex scenes are great in a book -- that is, when they are well described. Zane must have some sort of mental problem that she disguises as a talent for writing. Yes, book profits are important but so is integrity. Skip this junk and go with Playboy's Hugh Hefner or ANY male sex/violence fiction writer.

Summary: I was addicted to this book!
Review: This book was great! Zane is a wonderful writter, he really knows how to get a reader hooked! I managed to read this book in a couple of hours. The book had a great plot and was wonderfully written! I can't wait to read more by Zane!

Review: I loved this book. It had me glued to the pages. I was a little iffy about reading it at first because of what I thought it was about but I bought it anyways and I am glad I did. I definitly reccomend this as a must read!!!

Summary: the book was my addiction for two dayS!!!!
Review: let me tell you, I was the like a drug user with its drug! Dont anyone bother me, interupt me and if I was crossing the street- the [darn] cars had 2 wait! I was taken back by this book and when I finished it made me angry, happy and sad all at the same time. It made me angry that this young lady after so much of the chasing after Jason, she could mess it up! He gave her the "dream"that a lot of females look for........ it made me angry that there was an addiction and that she sought help so late instead of the very beginning an dit made me angry that something in her past had her with that addiction...... It made me happy to know there was a man who could love like that and that my view of ALL men are not dogs/dirt! I mean I know the character is just a character but it keeps me having faith that there are men like that!(hopefully- and if he is reading this, please rescue me-hehe) it also made me sad because there are people w/ that addiction and they potentially are hurting not only the people they love and/or love them, with so much diseases out- they are hurting themselves! I have frenz who are hurting themselves like that and i gave them the book to perhaps open up their eyes! they cried w/ it so maybe- just maybe! Like i said, the bk was finished by 6pm the 2nd day and i started on the train to work at 8am the 1st day- so u figure it out! LOVED the book- rated in my top 3.... maybe #1or2.........

Review: GOOD BOOK!!! Its a little slow at first but it picks up and gets going from there. The downfall is u have to wait til chapter 7 before u get rolling.

Summary: Disappointed...
Review: I read 'Addicted' awaiting to be impressed and stimulated but failed to be given thoses emotions. It was a big let-down for me. The content was all there, however, the manner in which it was expressed was unintelligible. I was expecting something that proved the highlighted credits on the cover and the back of the book to be true. It wasn't a page-turner for me (maybe because of her style of writing) and I was hoping for something more even when I finished the book. I felt the story abandoned adequate information to make this novel as spectacular as the cover emphasized. I will always uplift Black literture but I wouldn't recommend this book for a friend to read because I would feel too ashamed after they finished reading it.

Summary: Very Good Book
Review: This book was a total change from the Sex Chronicles. I liked this book because it still contained Zanes' Erotic Language and also added excitement, suspense and sadness at the same time. This is a definite page turner. What can I say but Zane has done it again. Keep up the good work.

Summary: Sexy, Provacative, Dead End
Review: I was told by my friends that this book was good so I decided to read it. From the moment I started reading I could not put the book down. I was spellbound for about 2 days. As I was getting towards the end I was very anxious to find out what would happen to Zoe. Yes, she did [anger] me off with all those different lovers. I wanted to feel compassion for my fictional character Zoe but she was pushing it too far for no reason. I knew that I was reading a book until I got towards the final chapters and all the lies and deceit started coming out. Then I thought that I was watching a movie. As one critic says, its just too much to be BELIEVABLE. As an author, I think that Zane must always attempt to keep it REAL. REAL plots, REAL characters. I think Json Reynard, Zoe's husband is indeed the perfect husband that we all as women would definitely love to have. Absolutely. The Tyson character. Are we to believe that all Tyson's are rough, crazy, women abusers, and jail birds? I did learn a lot from this book. I enjoyed it and I am looking forward to reading something else by Zane.

Summary: finished and was left semi-satisfied
Review: as i read addicted, it dragged me in deeper and deeper into the world of zoe. i could somehow relate to her, as i got nearer and nearer to the end i was disappointed that the book was ending. i wanted it to keep going on and on for ever. but as i got to the understanding of who the third lover was, i was shocked, well not really, i sort of guessed from the get go. it reminded me of my life, running around with various people chasing me for the "good stuff". i'm currently awaiting more books to be delivered to my mail box since i live overseas to read. thanks zane
