Summary: Da Bomb!!!!
Review: The only thing I can say about this book is that it is da bomb!!!! I finished this book in record time. If you haven't figured out what this book is about from the cover, then maybe this book is not for you. If you like suspense, drama, and sexuality issues, you have the right book. However, the only thing that almost kept me from ending this book was the beginning. It started off slow, but when it started, you forget about how slow this book started off. In order from me telling you exactly what happened in this book, I will just say, this book is HIGHLY Recommended!

Summary: 4.5 stars for the Page turner...
Review: Zane's debut is worth checking out..We are allowed to follow the lead characters very thought which was interesting to me. The other plus about this book is that it's not too long and you are pulled into the plot at the beginning..The scary thing about this book is that there are probably a lot of married people who go through this struggle every day....good novel..

Summary: color me unimpressed
Review: I am way deep in the minorty. I did not like this book at all. I couldn't even bring myself to finish it. It was recommended to me by several friends, and I fail to see what's so great about it.

One of my friends who didn't like it called it melodramatic, and that's the perfect word. Every other sentence ends with an exclamation point. Ugh. Extreme exclamation is just as bad as extreme ellipses. Don't do it.

The other thing that was bothering me about the book is the main character. She is, without a doubt, a screaming pain. I was more interested in everyone else's stories than hers. Although, not enough to keep reading.

Zane feels the need to repeat EVERYTHING. It's so irritating. She totally cheats the reader and treats the reader like he/she is dumb. So frustrating.

There was a lot of that in this book. Every third paragraph is "that's how my sexual addiction began" or "I was addicted to sex" or some variation thereof. No freaking kidding. We get it.

Then, the way the psychiatrist is handled pisses me off. When the main character Zoƫ admits to being addicted to sex, the doctor is flabbergasted. Floored even. I don't know. I always thought of psychiatrists being like preachers. You know, nothing surprises them. She's shocked-SHOCKED!-to learn that the self-proclaimed sex addict has three lovers besides her husband. Um, again. Why would that be shocking if she's a self-admitted superfreak?

I felt like I was wasting my time the whole time I made an effort to actually read it.

Summary: Explosive Debut by the Electric Zane
Review: I must say that I agree with the other customers about this book. It was a great read, and defintely a page turner. I brought the book a year ago, and I can't get out of my head. The author Zane, lets you into the main character's world, and describes that world with beautiful detail and amazing descriptions of sitautions. I never thought authors would be allowed to push the envelope of the sexual revolution, much less the topic of sexual addiction. It made me realize that our society has gone full throttal with sexual images, and ideas, but can not deal with how these things can affect one personal relationships. A dynamite debut by an exciting new author.

Summary: Owesome story
Review: This book is an owesome read. I didn't want to put it down. Sexual addiction in women isn't spoken about in detail. Hopefully, this book will bring some attention on the issue itself. At times, I wanted to weep for Zoe and her husband. I wanted to weep for the pain and suffering they both endured in their childhoods. I will definately recommend this book to both women and men.

Summary: A True Love Addiction
Review: In reading this book I was not surprised by it's content a lot of us choose more provocative ways to get our points across. I was urged to read this book by a friend who heard about it from someone she concluded that the character was simply insatiable, I read it and I enjoyed it. Zane's book was about a woman who loved her husband but needed more than he was willing to offer at that time. Her addiction was more about her love for her husband than her lust with infidelity I think it wasn't as clear and cut as it should have been.

Summary: I Got Addicted
Review: Addicted is a definite page turner. The storyline was more than I was expecting with all the twists and turns and murder. Addicted is exciting and a must-have for all African-American fiction readers. Zane is a true talent.

Summary: Loved It
Review: I was given this book as a Xmas present and boy was I happy I did. This book is indeed a real page turner, I couldn't put it down. I just ordered The Sex Chronicles and I can't wait to get it; I also read Black Silk (book of short stories-various authors) , which is a real page turner.

Summary: You can't put it down until it's finished
Review: This is my first time reading a book from Zane. My girlfriend recommended that I read it for myself, since she really didn't feel comfortable telling me about it. Zane has alot of sexual content in the book, hence the title. The book was really good because it had an interesting middle and ending. This is a good book to pick up and read, if you're not a prude.
