Rating: Summary: Amarteurish Review: I've heard that Zane has written better books, so I guess I picked the wrong one to read first. This book was so amarteurish. It was as if Zane started dreaming up all kinds of criminal drama during the second half of the book to make up for the boring first half. Many of the criminal characters are not believable because Zane skims over them, and asks us to accept their actions without much character development. The book starts as a love story and suddenly turns into a crime novel. She also could have done better research on the use of hypnosis. Her description as really silly (a swinging watch).
Rating: Summary: Unbelievable Characters Review: I've heard that Zane has written better books, so I guess I picked the wrong one to read first. This book was amateurish. It was as if Zane thought to herself, "what drama can I throw in next?" She needed to decide what kind of book she was going to write. It started as a sex story and turned into a crime story at the last minute. The first half of the book is boring, so I guess she threw in some action to try to save the story. The problem is she didn't develop the criminal characters enough to make their actions believable.
Rating: Summary: A gripping book of murder, sex and mystery Review: Don't get me wrong. This book was the bomb, but at the same time too, there were just a few twists and turns every now and then that got to be a little corny. However, getting past that, this is an excellent read. It's my first book by Zane and guessing that it would be good, I also bought Shame on it All and now I can't wait to begin that.Get reading this as soon as you can and you won't be sorry. There are parts of this book that may make you blush and there are some parts that get you on the edge of your seat. I'd recommend this book to anyone who loves a good read,
Rating: Summary: PLEASE Review: Someone, anyone, who enjoyed this book, please tell me how you got through it. Did we read the same book? The cover looks the same, but the text of your book has to be different. If this is an example of Zane's talent, she needs to rethink being a writer. If this is any indication of who she is, what she believes, or how she thinks, I feel really sad for her. I could not finish this book. Zane's repetitiveness, inappropriate and unnecessary word usage, and apparently an extremely mediocre vocabulary, to say the least, made reading this book unbearable. While reading this book, I anxiously anticipated beginning another book, written by an author of a book I completed before starting "Addicted." That author's writing style and story line made me seek out other works she'd written. Then I thought why put off reading something good and aggravate myself further by trying to complete this piece of trash. I can honestly say that I will never read or recommend anything written by Zane or any other author who thought "Addicted" was in any way worthwhile. In fact, I will enthusiastically discourage anyone from reading anything by Zane. With so many good books available to read and enjoy, why waste time reading this. I gave this book a rating of one star because no star or negative stars were not options.
Rating: Summary: Her sexual revolution. Review: In ADDICTED, Zoe and Jason meet as young children with a hatred for each other, and grow into adults with a true passion. All is fine within their lives...if you were looking on the outside. Inside, Zoe is suffering from a lack of sexual withdrawl provided by her husband, who refuses to engage his wife more in the lovemaking department. Feeling frustrated and infuriated, Zoe begins to embark on a sexual freedom run, involving Quinton, an up-and-coming painter, and Tyson, a mechanic. Both men are as different as night and day, but both provide Zoe with the intimacy she is lacking with her own husband. Soon, she is caught up in a situation that sprials out of control, due to the urgent need to have her body satisfied at an alarming rate. She can't control her needs anymore, and the sexual body count rises another notch. Zoe realizing she has a problem come too late when the different factors of her life collide and nothing is the same anymore, nor does the people seem to be who they really are. Yes, the book make a turn into territory that I didn't see coming, but the fun part is thinking that it's over when it kicks in again at another alarming rate. Definitely a keeper, especially for those who don't mind the risque language involved.
Rating: Summary: SO SAD BUT SOOOO GOOD!! Review: This book tells a story about a women by the name of Zoe Reynard who has a successful job 3 children and a wonderful loving husband(Jason.)By hearing this much you would think that Zoe has A great life but the fact of the matter is she's struggling with a terrible addiction that if her husband found out it could ruin her marriage for good. With out giving the whole plot watch how this women struggles with her addiction until something happens that makes her turn her life around for the better I really love Jason in this story because he really is a great guy and he really sticks by his wife through the whole story. It's a great story I know I didn't say to much about it but I don't want to give the whole plot away. All I can say is please read it I promise you wont regret it.
Rating: Summary: Hot, Heavy and Heated!!! Review: This book was awsome!! I never knew people can have an addiction to sex of this magnitude. But more that anything the love that conquered ALL was the best thing about this book to me. This was my first time reading a book by this author...however if her other books are this good I will definitely be reading more of them.
Rating: Summary: If you want the truth... this book wan FAR from amazing Review: The book started out with potential, at mid point it became a bit too Cinderella and then I don't know what happened, but the ending turned into Murder he/she/everybody wrote! This book gets a 3 because it does qualify as a page turner, but the author seems to get lost in the end and feeds its readers with a bunch of impossible story twisting nonsense.
