Rating: Summary: Hilarious Love Story !!!! Review: This book had me laughing out loud alot. It was a great book with very exciting love scenes and great characters.
Rating: Summary: Well thought out! Review: The best romance novels have charecters that have depth to them. This book expresses them very well. I would recommend reading the other books in this series also. Moning does a very good job of mixing fantasy with reality. If you like Romance that involves some sort of time travel, this author is for you! This book was a page turner! But you can also put it down, and pick it back up where you left off and remember everything. It's that well thought out!
Rating: Summary: Decent Book Review: I bought this book based on the large number of excellent reviews. I must admit, it did not quite live up to my expectations. If you buy this expecting a Gabaldon-like story, then this book will definitely disappoint, because it in no way comes close to the rich culture, history, and experience of her books. On the other hand, if you buy this book looking for a sensual romance, you will again be disappointed. Or, to put it better, you will be disappointed until over midway through, when the romance finally picks up some. It definitely offers a more whimsical approach to romance, but I find the books of Teresa Medeiros to be a more amusing magical story, and those from Constance O'Day Flannery to be a more romantic time-travel story. I suppose my problem with this book is that it failed to deliver a real punch in any way. I would recommend it as a decent read, though, personally, I didn't get into the book at all until halfway through, where it became lightly enjoyable.
Rating: Summary: Time travel romance..... Review: I love these books by Karen Marie Moning. Circenn is truly a sexy, masculine hero. Well worth a read. He crosses the barriers of time to rescue Lisa from her fate. Beautiful. :)
Rating: Summary: So good... I just didn't want it to end! Review: Karen Marie Moning writes a wonderful historical romance involving time-travel, magic and fairies. This is an excellent book and I absolutely love the romance between Circen and Lisa. Everything was beautifully written and Circen is such a passionate, sensual hero that you just can't help but adore! The only downside to this book: It ended a bit abruptly. I really want to know what happened after Circen and Lisa got married and had the baby. But no doubt about it, I'm looking forward to reading more of her books! For those who enjoy time-travel romance, I recommend Constance O'day Flannery. You will not regret reading her books!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Review: This book was extremely gripping from the first. I enjoyed the characters especially Lisa. She reminded me very much of myself. Headstrong, willful, and a crack up. The messes she can get into is halarious. You begin to feel as if you really know the characters. The book was wonderfully detailed until the end when the ending became extremely rushed. However I would still highly recommend this book. The characters were quite memorable and I hope that she will revisit them some time in another novel.
Rating: Summary: Entertainning but a little too 'romancy' for me Review: I was drawn to the book because of it's setting in 14th century Scotland but it first Karen Marie Moning book I have read. I didn't realize how much romance was part of it and found some of the plot and descriptions a little to over board for my taste. The story is entertainning throughout but be ready for the end to be a little overboard with 'happyness'. There were some great passages about Lisa being in another time unexpectedly and the character development of both Lisa and Circeen was interesting. Quick, light and fun reading. Alex
Rating: Summary: Great read Review: Moves, flows, grabs you. Ms. Moning great writing. New fan, will be old fan. Looking forward to next book.
Rating: Summary: wow Review: Yes, that's right, great book. Purchased all 4 in 1 shot. Every one as good as the other. Waiting for next.
Rating: Summary: Cinderella Falls Through Time Review: Poor little Cinder-Lisa, who had to forfeit college to work two jobs to take care of her dying mother and barely keeps the wolf from the door. The fantasy takes off as she cleans an office in the museum, and comes upon an antiquity that rips through the fabric (bodice?) of time and delivers her straight into the hands of a giant naked Scot legend named Circeen. A unique spin on time travel, Lisa retains her twenty-first century perspective as the medieval landscape unfolds. Lisa desperately tries to return to her ill mother in the oh-so-distant future as the flames of passion threaten to consume both lovers. The love scenes are lusty and explicit and the ending offers quite a unique twist. Historically researched - battles, food and dress - I was even able to look up the plaid on the net. But not really in the same league as the growing ever-so-tedious Outlander series. Maybe Galbadon Light?
