Summary: The worst of the series so far....
Review: I will not admit to being a romance "fan", but I do like Brockmann's SEAL series. I generally find the characters in romance novels to be incredibly unrealistic, and Brockmann's characters are no exception, but in this particular series there are other aspects that keep me coming back.

Having said that, this particular book contained none of the ingredients that have drawn me to this series.

After the great plot in the last book with the hijacked airliner, this plot just took a dive so deep there might not be a recovery! And where were the rest of the team? The best part of the series is the dialogue exchanged among the team-mates! That was nonexistent in Out of Control! Max, Alyssa and Jules did not really have a purpose in this one. Brockmann seems to have added them in as an afterthought to prevent fans from questioning their absence.

The Molly/Jones story seemed unnecessary, but the WWII story was a little more engrossing than in Brockmann's other novels. Generally I just skim that part, but I actually read the WWII plotline in this one.

I wouldn't recommend this one to anybody. It was a waste of time. I hope Brockmann does better in future novels.

Summary: Totally Awesome
Review: I have just recently found Suzanne Brockman and the only thing I wish.......I found her books sooner. Her insight & writing style regarding the Navy SEAL's is AWESOME!!!! I have also allowed a few of the nurses I work with to borrow my books & now they have become huge fans.

Summary: Out of Control
Review: Having now indulged in a marathon reading session of four of Ms. Brockman's SEAL series books, I find that the theme of older woman/younger man love is becoming predictable. It leads to want to ask if Ms. Brockman is older than her husband, which is okay as my mom married a younger man,my father, or is this a formula that is difficult to change because of publisher desires?
Ms. Brockman does write well in this genre.

Summary: Not her best, but still pretty good
Review: I guess because Ken Karmody was portrayed as such an immature jerk in Brockmann's previous Navy Seal novels, I just couldn't sympathize with him much. I also had a hard time picturing him as a heartthrob. Also, I didn't find Savannah as compelling as this author's previous heroines. Nonetheless, this author is such a good writer that I couldn't put this book down. The sub-characters Molly and Jones were really the stars of this book, and their love story was mature, touching and fulfilling. And, as always, the Alyssa/Sam love story is also intriguing. Unlike other reviewers, I find the World War II love stories quite boring. The WWII plot in the first Navy Seal book was interesting and unexpected, but this one just seemed gratuitous, forced and very predictable. Other than that, quite a good read.

Summary: Excellent Romantic Thriller
Review: Highly recommend this romantic thriller. Couldn't put down; stayed up all night reading. Plan on reading more of Ms. Brockmann's books.

Summary: just okay.
Review: I actually liked the Rose/Hank substory more than the Savannah/Wildcard story. It wasn't anything glaring, I just liked some of Brockmann's other books better.

Summary: How Exciting!
Review: What fun to read this book! Out of Control is filled with subplot, characters, danger and romance. You know, lots of tough guys, manly men, bad boys, hero stuff.

A friend suggested I try the Navy SEAL series by Suzanne Brockman. I read Over the Edge first and must admit, the first pages had me doing a double take from all the characters/ranks. (This series needs to come with a military heirarchy chart.) Now that I know the key players, the second book I picked up from this series, Out of Control, has me feeling like an insider. I can't wait to read Into the Night! Ladies, Stock up!

Summary: Could not put it down!
Review: I loved this book. I stayed up until 3am so that I could finish reading it. I have read the other books in this series, but this one has to be my favorite! Suzanne Brockman always amazes me with her multiple story lines! I personally would like to see a little more of Molly and Jones!

I would recomment this book to anyone looking to read something funny, steam, full of adventure and an all around enjoyable, entertaining book. Great Job Suzanne!!

I am waiting, quite impatiently I might add for Sam and Alyssa's story! Bring it on!

Summary: I *had* to know what happened!
Review: Savannah von Hopf has to go to Indonesia to save her beloved uncle from the hands of terrorists. But she's determined not to step into such a hotbed region of political danger alone; she plans to ask Navy SEAL (and ex-boyfriend of her friend Adele) Ken "Wild Card" Karmody to go with her.

As we readers tag along on this physically and emotionally demanding jaunt, we meet a large cast of other intriguing people. Molly Anderson, a missionary, and an American expatriate (and probably a smuggler) who will only give the name "Jones" both live on a small island in a remote corner of Indonesia. We read the memoirs of Savannah's grandmother, who was a double agent during WWII. Also involved to varying degrees are other members of Wild Card's SEAL Team Sixteen, FBI agents, self-appointed heads of state, and terrorists. Lots of terrorists.

Normally I wouldn't have read a book like OUT OF CONTROL -- I'm not generally into military characters or plots, not into suspense, not really even much into contemporary settings. But this book happened to cross my desk and I happened to look at the first page. Mentions of Star Trek and Yoda jumped out at me and carried me to page two, where Buddha was mentioned. All in the middle of a military training operation. I was hooked. I had to know what happened. And at the end of the book, I had to go find the other books about other members of SEAL Team Sixteen. Suzanne Brockmann is absolutely incredible.

Summary: Another great one!!
Review: Brockmann delivers another story with action and romance. I love the way she takes 3 different stories and brings them together in the end. I couldn't put down the book.
