Summary: A Good Book
Review: I absolutely love the series and every book of hers that I have read, but this one is not my favorite. It is a GOOD book, but not as good as the other three in the series. I also missed the other Cynsters, and while I understand the timing involved, I really would have liked to understand why and how Harry had earned his nickname and more of exactly what made him tick. Otherwise he was a likeable enough hero.

One thing that honestly bothered me about Felicity was the constant use of the nickname. While that was how she was introduced, her disguise was immediately uncovered and Demon remembered her as Felicity-so how come the change?

I guess my biggest complaint is while this book was truly good, it isn't great. Devil's Bride, A Rake's Vow and Scandal's Bride are definitely a hard act to follow.

Summary: A Very Good Read!
Review: I absolutley loved this book! It had humor, suspence, and of course the passion that these books revolve around. Stephanie Laurens (The author) has the ability to make you feel like you are the heroine in her books. I cannot wait to read the other books in this Bar Cynster series. I recommend getting the whole series!

Summary: Slow Beginning Picked Up Later On
Review: I bought Ms. Laurens novel, A Rogue's Proposal by mistake. When I flipped it over and read the back cover I thought "Oh no not another romantic mystery". Seeing as how I had already bought the book I decided to read on. The story of Demon and Felicity was slow to begin with. I was getting sort of sick of the whole race fixing mystery and was ready to count this book off as another romantic flop when the story line got interesting. After Felicity managed to thwart Demon's first proposal of marriage (which was offered because Demon believed that Felicity had been compromised by staying overnight unchaperoned in a cottage with him), Demon realized that he actually did want Felicity for a wife and his feelings were some what hurt that she had managed to wiggle out of his proposal. From then on the story develops as Demons tries to capture a wife and Felicity tries to decipher true love.

All in all, Demon's and Felicity's story was good. I gave the book three stars because I am of the opinion that the race fixing sydicate took up too much of the book and the loves scenes were a bit long (that might be a plus for some). As this is my first Stephanie Laurens book, I plan on reading more, including the rest of the Bar Cynster series.

Summary: The Very Best of the Bar Cynster Series (...So Far)
Review: I couldn't put this book down! An intriguing story line, colorful (but not overdone) setting and characters I really cared about. Historical romance does not get any better than this.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: What a snoozer...not as enjoyable as the first two novels
Review: I found myself leafing through the book to get the story to move on. Characters were not well developed, and the comraderie, humor and intensity that existed between the main characers in Devil's bride and and Rake's vow were missing in this book. The character Dillon seemed to be a side thought. Hope the next in the series is better reading.

Summary: A GOOD BOOK
Review: I found this book fun to read and the age difference between the lover was witty an so true that it reminded me of some couples I know going trough the same ordeal. ..a goodbook. If you want to read a novel that goes straight to your heart, read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. . .It is a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. Stolen Moments is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. It is a spellbinder. What terrific writing. Barbara does have an exceptional gift! This book was edited by Lupus specialist Dr. Matt Morrow too, and has the latest information on that disease. ..A perfect gift for someone who started college late in life, fell in love too late in life, is living with any illness, or trying to understand a loved one who is. . .Also a goft got a friend that will be cherished forever,

Summary: Best yet
Review: I found this book very entertaining. Where I thought the plotdragged on a little, the love scenes were some of the best I'veread. This was the first book in this particular series I had read, and I found it to be Ms. Laurens' best work to date.

Summary: THE BAR CYNSTER IS MY FAVORITE FAMILY!!!
Review: I had to force myself to slow down to read this book and still ended up reading it a second time. It was that wonderful! My favorite book of the series is still Devil's Bride but I must admit that A Rogue's Proposal just moved into second place. The relationship between Demon and Flick was a joy to read, I got to know them as they got to know each other. From friendship to intimacy to the pre-engagement under the watchful eye of the "Ton" was not only fun to read but also unique in itself.

That is one of the features of Stephanie Laurens' books that I love. She is truly unique in her writing and keeps surprising me with plot and characterization! I can't wait for the rest of the series and I look forward to the twins' stories and Chillingworth's story, if they're anything like the Bar Cynster, they'll be winners for sure!

I highly recommend Stephanie Laurens' older Regency titles (if you could find them), they are absolutely worth the search.

Summary: Very enjoyable!
Review: I had to get past the name "Demon" and once I did, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. He and Flick were such a fun couple to read about. I really enjoyed their chemistry. I usually skip through the sex scenes, but this author really knows how to write 'em!

Summary: Thank You
Review: I have fallen in love all over again, ladies. Laurens is an excellent writer who is not afraid to create strong willed, independent women. Partial to romantic series, Laurens does a creditable job in interweaving the same characters throughout her books. The concept of Fate plays a major role and heightens the continuity. (And might a add a heart felt thanks to the editor; there is nothing like a badly edited text to distrupt the "flow.") How will we manage to wait for the rest of the series?
