Summary: Great Story
Review: Another fantastic story by Linda Howard! We are dropped into the middle of a story and have to work our way backward with Jay (and then Steve) to figure out whats happening and who to trust.

Jay is taken to the hospital bedside of her ex-husband, who she hasn't seen in 5yrs, and asked to identify him. He has been hurt in a bomb explosion and has his head and hands bandaged. She is uncertain if the man is Steve, but after a discussion with FBI agent Frank Payne, they determine that he is Steve and he is going to need her help to recover. So begins a series of questions and events that keep all the characters off balance. The one stable force for Jay and Steve is their growing connection to each other. It is instantaneous and powerful! Steves' iron will and determination in the face of overwhelming odds; loss of speech, sight and memory; inspire awe from Jay. She is completely commited to aiding him, and protecting him if necessary. Their bond is beautiful to watch as it is based on senses other than sight. Really compelling!!! One of Ms. Howards BEST!

Summary: One of her better ones!
Review: At first I was wondering whether I would like this book, because it was a little too unconvincing at first. How could anyone not recognize someone they were married to? But Howard does a great job of bringing you into her story. The more I read it the more I liked it.

Summary: drew me in, intriguing and passionate...
Review: even when steve was in a coma, somehow Linda Howard's book captures simmering passion between him and jay. this is a slower book to get into for some i suppose but it's worth reading on to the end, which is very gratifying.

Summary: Started me on Linda Howard.
Review: I bought this on a whim. Didnt know all that much about L.H., I wasnt even looking foreward to reading it, till I started to read it, I finished the book the same day and kicked myself in the (you know what). This book was so good, fast paced and it kept you right there, flying along with the story. It was hot, hot,hot and I loved the plot. Kept me on the edge of my seat, and I wanted more. That is why I went and bought every L.H. book I could find. Loved it!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: predictable
Review: I did not like this book. The plot of this book was obvious from about the tenth page. The book was extremely predictable and not very romantic or thrilling for a supposedly romantic thriller. The author definitely uses a standard formula for writing. If you have read one Linda Howard book you do not need to read another they all follow the same format of weak heroines and over-bearing heroes who constantly get their way. Granted this book is almost 20 years old and expectations have changed over the years it is still a bad book I would have enjoyed more complex characters and a more substantive plot.

Summary: Must read.
Review: I find myself taking this journey with Jay and thoroughly enjoying it. Without giving the book away I'll just say that for me this is definitely one of my Linda Howard favourites.

Summary: Did I read the same book as everyone else?
Review: I love Linda Howard. Most of her books keep me riveted.
"White Lies" was good, but nowhere as good as some of her others. "Son of the Morning" and "All the Queen's Men" come to mind for starters. I enjoyed the book, but it was just to simple to really get involved in. Jay and Steve were adorable, but the rest of the story was almost nonexistent.

Summary: WOW!
Review: I love the bond that develops between the couple before they physically even knows the appearance of the other. The passion of sensation that focuses on them...WOW!. He is an alpha male through and through, but is completely devoted to her. This was a page-turner and you will be at the edge of your seat at the last part! Great book!!!

I also love the intensity of emotion the hero focuses on the heroine. He is an alpa male through and through, but is completely devoted to the heroine. I've read this book many times and it never fails to enthrall me.
