Summary: Positive Attraction
Review: Brenna and Sean have grown up together in a rough and tumble almost brotherly friendship. When Brenna starts seeing Lady Gwen and Sean Prince Carrick, electricity starts to fly. Until the words are said that express real love, though, hearts are not opened and Lady Gwen remains a silent tearful ghost. I cannot wait for the finishing of this trilogy. Nora Roberts has done it again!

Summary: WONDERFUL & DELIGHTFUL READ!
Review: Nora does it again. She continues to take us places that we feel are home. The wonderful love story of two lifelong friends that see each other as adults was such a cute story. The fiesty characters will keep you laughing at what they do next. I LOVE this series. Can't wait until the next story -- hurry up Nora....

Summary: generic irish lore
Review: maybe i'm just spoiled by good writing, but this was just bad. let me tell you why:

the descriptions of country and people were awful. there is such a thing as overkill. everything was so loaded down with adjectives and reworked cliches and stereotypes. this book was set in Generic Ireland -complete with ruins, stormy shores, verdant cemetaries, retarded faery lore, and main characters with coppery curls.

the faery lore was so horrid that i wanted to laugh out loud in great guffaws whenever it was mentioned. prince of the faeries on a winged horse? lady gwen all pale with wounded love? good god! unlike the characters, if i were to see a ghost, i would look beyond my own problems at hand and kind of freak out. if roberts wants to successfully mix lore as a subplot, she needs to first further her lore. eveything we know about our supernatural friends hinges on hearsay and brief encounters that reveal nothing about their turgid story except for didactic life lessons in love. pick a course! will this be fantasy romance? or romance?

the characters, while entertaining, were generic. roberts works to convey a concept with her people rather than to give them individuality. shawn is the typical dreamer: lean, musical, often lost in thoughts, likes to go on long walks by the beach ... etc. brenna is the irish tomboy: petite and fiery, good with her hands, blunt and conventional... etc. by addidng her blue to his yellow, the shade of green derived is exactly that of Generic Ireland. o danny boy.

anyway, i gave the book 2 stars for the reason that it kept me going. the organization is such that there was hardly a dull moment --inane yes, dull no. that and i like ireland and faery tales because i'm retarded like that. i can't help it; it makes me happy. even if it's not real or well imagined.

Summary: Second place for the series
Review: Tears of the moon is a lovely story but must take second place to The Galway Chronicles, a little known four book historical series by Brock and Bodie Thoene about Ireland in the 1840's. Comparing one to the other, I would have to say Nora Roberts is a close second, however. But Tears of the Moon still does not touch the heart or explore the history and romance of Only the River Runs Free.

Summary: Perfect...As Always
Review: We fans of Nora Roberts are a spoiled bunch. We expect the best from her, and she never fails to deliver. In this, the second installment of her latest trilogy- 'Tears of the Moon' she brings us back to Ireland, and to the Gallagher family. This time we get to watch the fireworks that bring middle child Shawn Gallagher to the realization that his one true love had been his best friend since childhood, the fiery Brenna O'Toole.

Brenna is a classic Nora Roberts character- sharp, witty, clever with a phrase and funny as hell. Her casual attitudes toward life and work give us all a clearer picture of how much calmer we could all be if we'd only lighten up a bit. Shawn, another of Nora's strong, silent heros with a heart as big as the Irish countryside, will make you a beleiver in the power of love, the bonds of friendship and the importance of family.

As always, we get a beautifully painted picture of Ireland, from the quiet charm of a family cottage to the hustle and bustle of a busy Irish Pub. Nora has once again givine us a great love story and a reason to keep our eyes glued to the racks looking for the finale that will round out this trio (Heart of the Sea- due in the fall).

If your wondering whether or not this is the right books for you, just be sure to grab 'Jewels of the Sun' (the first in the series) and then move on to this one. You'll never be disappointed in Ms. Roberts. She knows how to tell a story, and she does it better than anyone!

Summary: Love and Magic
Review: Nora Roberts remains, in my opinion, undefeated in her talent for spinning stories of love, the occasional suspense, and the ever-present whispers of magic. The second of three Irish novels, Tears of the Moon will make you laugh, cry, fall in love, and believe. She draws the reader into the Irish culture, settles them there as if it were home, and weaves a tale of a love from long ago that mingles with the hearts of two present-day characters. Brenna O'Toole and Shawn Gallagher grew up together in the small seaside village of Ardmore. Shawn's music is part of his soul and he is part of Brenna's heart. With the aid of Carrick, Prince of Faeries, and the spirit of Lady Gwen, a love that had long gone undetected by Shawn and buried beneath a disguise of physical attraction by Brenna, is unearthed. It was such a delight to read as the characters wound their way around to the ultimate happily-ever-after ending to this modern-day fairy tale.

Summary: Somewhat Disappointing
Review: The first book in the series was the first Nora Roberts book that I ever read. And how I looked forward to this one. But I came away disappointed. Brenna and Shawn didn't seem to kindle that same fire of love and the situations created that forced them apart, seemed somehow very contrived and unnatural. The descriptions of Ireland and the family life there was wonderful. Even including the legend rings true to the country, but all in all this was not one of my favorites and at times had to work hard to read the book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Wonderful.....as usual
Review: Nora Roberts did it again! This book was even better than the first in the trilogy, Jewels of the Sun (which I must say was nearly impossible to beat). I simply could not put this book down. My only question is, when will Heart of the Sea (the third and final book in this lovely trilogy) be out? I can hardly wait.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Excellent follow up for the second in the Irish Trilogy
Review: Nora Roberts has done it again, she captivates her audience as always. It is a great read and you don't put it down until you have finished. Her knowledge of Ireland, its people and towns never ceases to amaze. Her characters come to life as always, and if but for a few hours you are lost in their world.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Fabulous
Review: Nora Roberts never fails to make me smile, cry, and sigh all at the same time. This book was excellent. I can't wait to read the third book!
