Summary: Just as good as the first one!
Review: This book was a hoot!! Brenna is a great character with straight to the point views. Shawn seems dreamy but he is smarter than you give him credit for. It is especially funny when they flustered each other, and how Shawn called Brenna "The O'Toole". I liked that you saw more of Prince Carrick and Lady Gwen. This book was great and so much fun to read. I had a smile on my face almost the whole time. I felt the family connections touching and wonderful. I can't wait to read the third book about Darcy! I only regret that it will be the last one because they entertain me just as much as the Donavan's did.

Summary: This trilogy is going to be her best yet!!!!
Review: I've always been a big Nora Roberts fan but this trilogy has hooked me on her books forever! Never before have I laughed and cried and felt so good after reading books as I have after reading Jewels of the Sun and Tears of the Moon. The characters create fireworks and the beauty of the land and folklore are positively enchanting!! I loved the Sea Swept series and thought that they'd be my favorite but these books have pushed them over on the shelf as my star "keepers". Keep it up Nora! I can't wait for Heart of the Sea!!!

Summary: Love the series!!
Review: I love all Nora Roberts books and especially the series. I loved Jewels of the Sun and waited very impatiently for Tears of the Moon. It was wonderful seeing two childhood friends who are so obviously in love, realize it. I also like finding out how couples from past books are doing. Shawn Gallagher and Brenna O'Toole had some troubles in the beginning but what relationships don't. It was a romantic, funny and passionate all in one. I can't wait for Hearts of the Sea to come out.

Summary: Worth Waiting For!
Review: I have been reading Nora for about four years, and anxiously await each new novel she writes. "Tears of the Moon" has just become my new "read-over"...I've read it three times since I bought it!

We were introduced to Brenna and Shawn in "Jewels of the Sun",the first of the Gallagher trilogy, which was Jude Francis and Aidan's story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Jewels", but found myself liking Brenna O'Toole overall. I was thrilled to find out that her story would be next in line.

In "Tears of the Moon", Nora takes us back to Ardmore and the Irish way of life. Brenna O'Toole is the towns handyman, while Shawn runs the kitchen of the Gallagher pub. Once again, we are drawn into the mystical and magical world of Ireland, with Carrick, the Prince of Faeries doing his best to make sure that "Gallagher the second" finds true love to help break the spell Carrick put on himself and Lady Gwen. Brenna, who has always had a bit of a crush on Shawn, finds that she must battle her sister for his love...which can and will cause a few bumps along the way. Shawn still devotes most of his time to his music and begins to see Brenna as more than just a bothersome "little sister". However, when an American wishes to bring a theater into Ardmore, a path is laid for Brenna to encourage Shawn to sell his music...providing a captivating story of two stubborn Irish.

"Tears" is a heart-warming story of love and laughter, Nora-style. I found that I liked Brenna even more after her story, and hope to see more of her and Shawn in Darcy's story, "Heart of the Ocean". I anxiously await the release of the last of the Gallagher trilogy...

Summary: A trimuphant follow-up to Jewels of the Sun.
Review: When I finished Jewels of the Sun, I loved it so much that I could not imagine the possibility of Nora Roberts writing anything that could compete with it. But, as I was happy to discover, I was wrong. The first book of the trilogy is still my favorite, but Tears of the Moon is a very very close second, and I am on tenterhooks waiting for the third!

Tears of the Moon is much more of an emotional rollercoaster than the first book of the trilogy and, although both feature many of the same characters and are set in the same place, Tears of the Moon tells an very different story. It is a story about people who have known one another all their lives: Shawn Gallagher, a hopeless dreamer, romantic and musician extraordinaire, and Brenna O'Toole, who is entirely practical in every way save an unexplainable obsession with Shawn. It is a tale of childhood love and mature passion, filled with ups and downs that will take your breath away and leave you wanting more. It continued many of the same themes from the first book, but other aspects were refreshingly new. Brenna and Shawn seem like complete opposites that would only end up driving one another crazy. But as the story progressed, Roberts cast her magic and I came to see how they complemented one another. The rapport between Shawn and Brenna was colored both by their feelings for one another as well as a long history of arguments stemming from a sibling-like relationship, and made for a very amusing and absorbing story.

I was very pleased to note that Roberts's ability to hold me captive from the first page to the very last sentence has not diminished, and that her quality and style of writing did not waver as the conclusion approached. In fact, if there is one thing that I liked better about Tears of the Moon than Jewels of the Sun, it was the very last page. I can't tell you what it is or I'd ruin it, but all I can say is *SIGH*. Nora Roberts is a fantastic storyteller who will always have a fan in me.

Summary: EXCELLENT!
Review: I simply loved the story and all its characters. Some parts were very funny and I loved the way the romance developed! I listened to the first of this trilogy, "Jewels of the Sun", which was also a real winner. Can't wait to purchase the third story. You will not waste your money on either story.

Summary: Slow but Charming
Review: As the second book in the Gallagher series, Roberts puts forth a story that, although a bit slow, is very charming. Brenna and Shawn are both complex characters: Brenna the pixi tomboy and Shawn the sensitive cook. While reading, you can't help but cheer for Brenna because she's the kind of women a lot of us are. Who out there hasn't pined for someone who didn't even notice us. Did you ever imagine what it would be like if they really took a look? This book is so great because Brenna lives that dream for us. Final word: good company expecially on a rainy day.

Summary: Tears of The Moon
Review: I am a loyal reader of Nora Roberts and was not surprised that this book was so emotional. I discovered this talanted author about a year ago and to date have read over 100 of her novels. This one; however, was by far the best so far. I laughed and I cried and was up all night so that I could finish it. This novel is the second in her irish jewel series. It focuses on the curse of a fairy god and his mortal love. This book focuses on the second Gallager child and his found love in his life long friend Mary Brenna O'Toole. He is a cook at the family pub and she is the small town's handy woman. This book will have you wanting to read it over and over again and wishing that she would print the final book. If you have not read the first one I would recommend it ("Jewels of the Sun"), although like alot of her series it is not nessasary to read them in order. But I PROMISE you that after reading this you will want to either read the first one or reread it.

Summary: You won't be disappointed!
Review: After I read Jewels of the Sun I couldn't wait for this book to be published! It didn't disappoint me! It was actually refreshing to read a second book in a triology and like it as much as the first. I am a fan of series books, but often times I am disappointed with some of the books that follow the first. This wasn't the case here. Shawn and Brenna have a different relationship than the average couple. She fixes things and he cooks and writes music. But it works! You can't help but love Shawn. He knows Brenna so well and does things for her that makes you think he is such a great guy! I am looking forward to the conclusion of this triology!

Summary: Tears of the Moon rises high on my list
Review: Touching, magic, filled with all the creative power of a typical Nora Roberts novel, Tears of the Moon is wonderful! All of Nora Roberts Ireland novels capture the essence of the land and the beauty of the people. Her character development is intricate and real. There are several of us in this house who read and review the novels of this author. All of us agree that she has the gift! Blessings on this and all her great works of fiction!
