Summary: If you liked Jewels of the Sun You have to read this.
Review: This book is a great follow up to Jewels of the Sun. In no way is this book less thrilling than the first in the trilogy. I feel that Nora Roberts is a great author. Her tales of one woman's life and her quest to find herself make you feel involved in the story. You can really place yourself in the shoes of the main character and see things as she would. I recommend this book very highly!

Summary: A Real "Gem"
Review: This follow-up to "Jewels of the Sun" was full of plenty of sizzle but still tender and sweet. Shawn and Brenna are a great pair, whether scheming or fighting or making up. I also loved the characters of Lady Gwen, the ghost, and Prince Carrick of the faeries, and can't wait to see how their story ends in the final book of the trilogy.

Summary: WOW!
Review: I just picked this up last night and I'm done it all ready. I knew it would be good just by the blurb on the back, I have to go get the first one in the series. The characters just jump to life. I can't wait to find out what happens to Darcy in the next installment. I loved Brianna in this book she was wonderful, the way she stomps around and fights for what she wants is terrific. Shawn is also great. A fantastic book by a fantastic author!

Summary: Sweet story.
Review: I think this story was the best in the series. I actually got it a day early. I found a copy at the airport when I went to drop off a friend. I think I may have screamed. I started reading it right there in the store, and finished it at home the same day. It is a sweet story, and the characters are funny and real. The best part is when Brenna makes her little announcement in Shawn's kitchen. I'm still laughing about that.

Summary: Not her best work
Review: I have read many of Nora Roberts works and this is not her best. Usually I can't put one of her books down, but this one spent a lot of time on the shelf. In my opinion, this book was rather slow moving and uneventful. I hope that the next in this series is more like the first.

Summary: Great one. A must read!
Review: Nora Roberts "Tears of the Moon" is another really great love story, about Brenna who had been in love with Shawn for ages, and the Gallaher's. One you will enjoy every minute of. The 1st in this series was "Jewels of the Sun", which was wonderful also and now I can't wait to read the next one.

Summary: Average romance with originality in thoughts
Review: TEARS OF THE MOON by the critically lauded Nora Roberts is a follow-up to predecessor JEWELS OF THE SUN in mapping out the love, intricate relationship in the Gallagher family operating a pub in Ardmore.

The central characters are Brenna O'Toole and Max Gallagher who are destined to be with each other with the scintillating fairies Lady Gwen and Prince Carrick hovering in their dreams, telling Brenna to follow the music to Max's heart. Max tries to mask his attraction for his friend, Brenna but the secret desires in Brenna propelled her to approach him first. Both are fiercely independent and headstrong - and that's where both of them refuses to see their heart....

A grand sizzling romance - this isn't. It is at its best an insightful dissection of human relationships. Brenna is a resilient woman who dares to love, and proposes to have sex with Max with consent from the both of them. Katie, Brenna's sister has developed a crush on Max and that's where the clash between Brenna and Katie brews. Brenna's moral dilemma and sincere revelations on her relationship is pensive; Max's reluctance in culturing his musical gift prompts Brenna to sell his music secretly. Their superficial understanding of each other matures into one of acceptance and trust built on the powerful element of all - love.

There is a disincentive for readers to continue TEARS OF THE MOON without reading the first in the trilogy and may have difficulty in piecing out fairy characters. The end was also a let-down -- it is utterly unromantic for Brenna to come back apologizing and begging to stay with Max. Max's gift in music is also just not believable enough.

Nora Roberts shows originality in penning out her thoughts on love and relationship with this one, but the love element flags down. It is a fleeting read with heart - but that's just as good as it gets.

Summary: Good, but...
Review: The book was fine. Everything was in place and all ends were tied up and that was the problem with it. Shawn and Brenna were not having any real problems. She wanted him, he wanted her and there was no real conflict, except for Brenna's younger sister who had a crush on Shawn. The ghosts and mythology was repeated again and again; and Nora Roberts set the stage for the last book of her trilogy. The book had little romance, and more setting. I don't mind the setting, I mind the lack of romance. These two characters didn't deserve a story. There was nothing to say. It was a simple "my place, or yours" scenario and then they lived happily ever after. Hopefully, Darcy and Trevor will have more conflict and some real romance. Of course, we can find solace in the fact that the Faerie Prince and Lady Gwen will unite and put an end to our misery for reading about them, time and again.

Summary: Fun/Romantic Read
Review: "Tears of the Moon", the second installment of Nora Roberts' Irish trilogy, takes us once again to the seaside village of Ardmore, Ireland. It's a year later and Jude and Aidan have been married and are expecting a child. Shawn Gallagher, Aidan's younger brother and chef at Gallagher pub, has moved into the little cottage on fairy hill. He's content here, living alone and working on his one true passion, music. That's where this story and romance begins. Unknown to him, Brenna O'Toole, a lifelong friend of his family, has always had a "yen" for him. Unfortunantely, so does her younger sister Mary Kate.
Brenna isn't what you call your typical female. She does a lot of handy work and she rarely looks the part of a woman. Because of this, Brenna finds herself unattractive and undesirable. Once Shawn moves into the cottage, Brenna's feelings for him begin to worry her more and more. She doesn't want to want Shawn. Brenna decides that the only way to get him out of her system is to sleep with him. She offers herself to him and he pushes her away, thinking of her only as a friend. Once he's had time to think about what she's offered, he starts to see that he also has feelings for her. They decide to begin a physical relationship, to keep love out of the way, and end it as friends. But somewhere along the way, Shawn does exactly what he promised he wouldn't, fall in love. Knowing that Brenna is stubborn and hard-headed and will likely turn him away, he decides to trick her into falling in love with him. And with a little help from his family, as well as Carrick and Gwen, he succeeds. The only problem is whether or not she'll return his love.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It has all the elements of a good romance novel: laughter, obstacles, fiery heroines and of course hot, steamy love scenes. I found myself laughing at Brenna and Shawn throughout the book. Their scenes together are truly magical. I definantely recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed "Jewels of the Sun" or any of Nora's other books. She brings Ireland and the Gallagher family to life.
