As with all of Ms Roberts' books, this one was full of lovable characters and alot of emotion. I loved the first book in the series and the second even more. Shawn and Brenna's story is one I will remember for a long time and probably go back to again and again. I also love the supernatural additions of Prince Carrick and Lady Gwen in both books. Their love story is beautiful and heartbreaking. I cannot wait until the third installment to see what happens with Darcy and with Prince Carrick and Lady Gwen.

Review: After reading "Jewels of the Sun" , which was good but not great, I wasn't sure that I wanted to buy "Tears of the Moon" immediately upon release. But after reading the first couple of pages while standing in line at the bookstore, I had to buy it so that I could take it home to finish. The dialogue was snappy and the characters were well-developed. Neither Brenna nor Shawn are perfect, and in fact have flaws that make them more likable than the perfect beings that often people novels. "Tears" updates you on the developments in the lives of characters you met the previous Gallagher family novel, and gives a glimpse of what is to come in the next.

Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Another Ireland winner from Nora! Review: Nora Roberts takes on the second of the Gallaghers and doesn't disappoint! This time, dreamer brother Shawn is romantically run over by local handyman (woman) Brenna, a lifelong friend who's decided they will get friendlier. Brenna's approach to Shawn was fresh and amusing in a story, and it was interesting to watch Brenna's character develop-- from deciding there may be a place for a dress and a lipstick, to watching her decidely UN-ladylike reactions to Shawn when she thought he needed to learn a lesson! Though the outcome is evident early on in the book, that does not take away from the pleasure of the story at all. You WANT to watch the Gallagher clan, Jude, the O'Tooles and the ghosts build the story. Would be surprised if we don't see a spin-off book on little sister Mary Kate after volume three of this series is printed!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Tears of the Moon Review: First off, I think this was a really good story. I enjoyed the main plot between Shawn and Brenna, but I also enjoyed the subplot that involved Carrick, Prince of Faeries. Brenna has wanted Shawn for a long time and she finally decides to go for it, and I give her credit for that. Shawn, he is a slow guy, not as intense as some of Nora's other male leads, much more of a dreamer. He is shocked but they kiss, and from that point on, he can't get Brenna out of his mind. The romance between them is a little slow to develop I thought, but once it got going, it was very good. I liked how Shawn was pretending to let Brenna court him towards marriage and such. Also, you find out more about Jude and Aidan, how their lives are going. Something big is happening for the Gallaghers' and it will continue on into the next book, with Darcy. Big plans. It was a very enjoyable read and if you liked JEWELS OF THE SUN, you will like the second book in the trilogy.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Worth the Wait Review: This is the second book in the Gallahers series. It is set in Ireland, in the little town of Ardmore where the Gallaghers have run the popular pub for 5 generations. This story features the second Gallagher, Shawn, who is a musician, composer, cook, and dreamer and Brenna O'Toole, who is the town's fixit person and mechanic. Shawn has moved into Faery Cottage, with it's resident ghost, as Jude Francis has moved into the main Gallagher residence. Brenna O'Toole is the family friend and has grown up with the Gallaghers. She has always harbored a love for Shawn, and decides to do something about it in her usual pushy way. Their lifelong relationship changes drastically, and Carrick, Prince of the Faeries, is actively involved in getting them to resolve their differences into love. Brenna, of course, pushes Shawn too far, but he finally reveals some backbone and everything is worked out at the end. This is a wonderful, warm and sometimes funny story, with the beauty of Ireland and the Irish lovingly portrayed. I personally liked Jewels of the Sun a little more than this one, as Brenna's character rubbed me wrong, but overall the story and the characters were pure Nora Roberts magic. Well worth the wait! I hope Heart of the Sea comes out soon.

Let me tell you that it was really worth the wait. I think this book was better than the first in the series (Jewels of the Sun). This particular relationship between Shawn and Brenna seemed more realistic. Plus, Nora Roberts has a way of writing books. I read the book in about 2 hours. This is one of the feel good, warm books. Highly recommended!

Brenna and Shawn are wonderful characters, well thought out and complete. By the end of the book, you feel you would know them if you met them on the street. Their reversal of the traditional male/female roles (he's the cook, she's the mechanic-builder) is a nice touch. The side plot concerning the new theater is lots of fun and serves as an excellent lead-in to the 3rd installment (Hearts of the Sea). Thanks Nora, for another pleasing romance to add to my permanent collection.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Over the Moon about Tears of the Moon Review: Readers have come to expect a wonderful story from Ms. Roberts, and she has delivered, as ever, a charming tale. Tears of the Moon continues the story of the Gallagher family in Ardmore, Ireland, this time focusing on the dreamy musician Shawn. Shawn has grown up with pixie-like but very practical Brenna, but lost in his musical reveries, has failed to notice that her feelings for him run much deeper than the sisterly affection he thought was all she felt. How they find their way through their preconceptions, misconceptions and misunderstandings makes a thoroughly engrossing and delightful evening's reading. As Ms. Roberts weaves the threads of her story into a rich tapestry, one cannot help but wonder if she hasn't also had dealings with the fairies - her writing is magical!
