Rating: Summary: A Nice Quick Read Review: I found this to be enjoyable, if not predictable. It's a great book to read if you want something quick.
Rating: Summary: What a great book! Review: I may be only 14 but i know a good book when i see one and let me tell you this book was exallent(spelling). You go through the motions with Miles, Sarah, Missy, and Jonah. Nicholas Sparks is a great writer. I can't wait for his new book. I hope they make a movie of this also.
Rating: Summary: Could have been better Review: This was more of a mystery than the romantic story that Sparks usually writes about. It was still a good book but not as good as his others. The lead male character had a bad temper and I did not care for the way he was treating the lead female. Also, I don't think most women would just take him back no questions asked after treating her the way he did. It shone an unfavorable light on women.
Rating: Summary: A cute story - a little long in some parts Review: I will not outline the book in this review since some of the reviewers have already done so. I read this book as I was looking for a fast, easy and somewhat entertaining book. I did not have great expectations since I usually don't read love stories, but I was pleasantly surprised. The characters are well developed and you feel drawn to them, I would have enjoyed reading more about the little boy involved in this story. The love story is not too sappy and there is more behind this book then just the usual romance. But about half way through the book you can see where this story is heading and then it takes a little too long to drive the point home. Overall a surprisingly entertaining book, perfect for days where you don't want to get engaged in heavy literature.
Rating: Summary: Be careful Review: Nicholas Spark, is one of my favorite authors. This latest book A Bend in The Road is a really good page-turner. It is a tragic love story about loving someone and losing them and being able to go on with your life and love again. If you love to read love stories this one is for you.
Rating: Summary: Love, Justice, and Truth Review: In a tale of love, justice, and truth Miles and Sarah fight the hardships of life. Nicholas Sparks takes Miles, Sarah, Jonah, and many others into an unbelievable story that is some how realistic. After losing Missy, his first love, Miles meets Sarah and falls in love again. However, a little secret nearly tears them apart. Miles has to figure out the truth, which is entirely different than what he thought. Miles and Sarah soon end up getting married even if it means that Miles will be related to the murderer of his first wife.
Rating: Summary: Excellent story Review: I have enjoyed all of Nicholas Sparks' books and this one is no exception. Am looking forward to next one and to the movie "A Walk to Remember". Especially liked the happy ending in "A Bend in The Road".
Rating: Summary: Awesome Book Review: This book is an awesome book, i would recomend it to anyone!!! If you are a person who likes to read, you will definately like it!! Miles is a nice man with a child whos mother had died. Then he meets Jonahs teacher and everything changes. It also has a mysterious ending. You will be very surpised once you find it all out!! Good luck!! You'll love it
Rating: Summary: Predictible, but a comical book. :) Review: It's very light reading. I enjoy the funny parts. Towards the middle is gets real predictible.
Rating: Summary: I Love Nicholas Sparks! Review: Nicholas Sparks has touched my heart and moved me once again with A Bend In The Road. Though somewhat predictable, I genuinely cared about the characters and enjoyed the plot twist. I can't wait for his next novel! Until then, I recommend a new book my reading group read called "Shade of the Maple" by Kirk Martin. Reminded me of "The Notebook", my favorite Sparks novel. I got so caught up in the characters in Shade of the Maple, I couldn't put it down. I cried harder than I ever have reading a novel, but at the same time felt a certain joy and happiness. If you like Sparks, you will love this book. ... .
