Summary: Disappointed Texas Reader
Review: Let me say right off the bat I am a big Christine Feehan fan. I was so excited that a new book was coming out and got Wild Rain the day it was released.

This is not Christine's finest moment as a writer. Usually in a Feehan book the tension and rapport of the main characters drives the action. I felt that Rachel and Rio had no rapport in their relationship, and I was not engaged by their characters, situation, or dialogue. I could have cared less what happened to them, and I had to make myself finish the book. That's the first time that's ever happened to me with a Feehan novel.

If you have not read Christine Feehan before, do not judge her by this latest effort. Start with "Dark Prince", and work your way up to "Dark Guardian", which is my personal favorite of the Carpathian series. I also thought that "Shadow Game" was an imaginative and engrossing book, and that her concept of the Ghostwalkers was both innovative and entertaining.

Summary: good read
Review: Liked the new twist on supernatural that she did with this book. Interesting tension between the main characters. Right up there with Laurell K Hamilton in inventing new worlds that seem very grounded and gritty with realism while veering off into the extra-ordinary.

Summary: A GOOD BUT NOT A GREAT READ!
Review: Okay,i jsut finished reading this book. i was a bit dissapointed that it didn't live up to the LAIR OF THE LION and the "The Awakening" in the anthology "FANTASY". it was very confusing. especially when she started a chapter, with the relationship progressing further than what was just said.
I had to go back and see if i missed any pages or maybe i got a defective copy. i just didn't feel the depth of the hero and his heroine.
Other that and a few other quirks,it was an enjoyable read.i won't say not to buy but i think it could wait until someone else bought the book so that you can borrow, so you don't spend the money.

Summary: A Jungle Walk...Wild and Wet
Review: Rachael knows that she is hunted, the reason is clear to her and her only recourse is to disappear, loose herself completely in the wilderness. In the luxuriant wildness of the jungles of Borneo, she hopes to find a modicum of safety, and at least the illusion of the peace that she lost with her parent's murder. She was counting on the fact that no one knows that she is here, but she is wrong. Danger has stalked her, and found her even here, deep in this jungle paradise. Now she has to decide what she needs to do and who she can trust. She has not expected the handsome stranger, nor the attraction she feels towards him. She is frightened and alone, and no matter how brave a front she puts up, she knows that she is in trouble, and the dark and handsome Rio Santana can be the answer to a prayer, or sudden death. The whole thing boils down to a matter of trust, can she trust him, is the big question that must be answered. The only problem is that she is soon afraid that he has stolen her heart.

This lush and wild jungle that he calls home is his sanctuary and his prison. He is at once ruler, and prisoner. Rio doesn't know if the beautiful stranger may be the cause of his death or his ultimate salvation. He is hunted, wanted, and an outcast from his people, and all because he wanted justice. He is loyal, and although most have turned their backs on him, he continues to protect them. His wariness and suspicions about Racheal are well founded, but the woman's presence stirs something unexpected in him...the urge to mate, and claim her for his own. There is something not quite right about this whole thing, and although he senses her difference, he is surprised by her naiveté. She is schooled in the ways of the jungle, but is seemingly unaware of the very differences that has haunted his people for ages. Her wariness shows she too, is hunted, and Rio swears that somehow he will protect her, win her trust, and make her his own.

Christine Feehan has once again taken us on a trip far different than what we are used to from her. WILD RAIN is an exquisitely told tale of two people fighting for life and the right to survive, and eventually finding love beyond all odds and their wildest dreams. This masterfully told story is light-years beyond the Dark Series, and encompasses a whole new world. Her characters move beyond the dark tales of the Carpathians, and lead us into another world of lush and colorful jungles, vibrant life, and a different kind of creature. If these are the shifters of the jungles, the kin to the ones the Carpathians know of, she may tell us, then again, she may not. That, however, has no bearing on these tales. These stories are special in their own way, and assuredly wonderful reads, Kudos To Christine Feehan. She definitely has another wining series here!

Yours in good reading,
Rose!

Summary: Fantastic
Review: Rachel Lospostos knows that the only way she may live will be to fake her death from an unknown hitman. Her opportunity occurs while sailing on a jungle river when rebels attack their party. Rachel jumps into the river to fake her death, but manages to get ashore. She finds a home in the middle of the jungle and takes sanctuary there.

After being wounded in a mission, Rio returns to his jungle home only to find a woman inside. He and his snow leopards assume she is an assassin so one of his animal comrades attacks her. Once calm prevails, he finds she is badly injured, but both act like they have known each other forever. As he nurses her back to health, someone is coming to eliminate her, but that assassin is unaware that she is loved by a were-leopard who will kill for his woman.

This paranormal romantic suspense provides readers with a powerful tale that pumps up the adrenaline of the audience any time the lead couple talk or just stare at one another in loving disbelief. Though the reason for wanting Rachel eliminated is revealed kind of late in the plot, fans will appreciate the courageous protagonists. WILD RAIN is a fabulous jungle love story that showcases Christine Feehan's ability to make the mind-boggling seem very believable.

Summary: Feeham has reinvented herself!
Review: This book was an exciting adventure to read! Feehan has completely seperated her writing style from any she has done before and succeeded in doing so! I recomend this book to anyone who enjoys reading books with a prenaturnal edge. I eagerly anticipate additions to the Leopard series. If you decide to read this book you'll also want to read her novella, The Awakening, in the anthology, Fantasy. That is where the Leopard series is born . I just can't express how great this book is. You will not regret picking it up. The story of Rachelle and Rio in the rain forest is enchanting. You will, no doubt, love it too!

Summary: Excellent - HOT!
Review: This is my first Christine Feehan book and it will not be my last. She is an excellent writer. All through the book, I felt like I was in the rain forest with Rio and Rachael. The descriptions are so good, I could almost feel the humidity and hear the sounds.

I really enjoy paranormal novels and this one was excellent. She draws you into the world of the shape-shifters.

This is definitely a must read keeper.

Summary: An All-Time Favorite
Review: This is one of my favorite books. I don't know exactly what it is about the book that appeals to me so much but something about it does. I like the "wild" side of the book - the setting is fabulous. I think the sexual tension and buildup between the characters is fantastic. It is a very sexy erotic book and I found that I was unable to put it down. I would love to read more like this one. In fact I've read it twice and am sure that I'll read it again.

Summary: Christine Feehan returns with Jungle Fever
Review: This is one of my favourite reads. With Wild Rain Ms Feehan returns to the jungles of Borneo to the Leopard People and brings more depth to the world she first visited with The Awakening in the Fantasy anthology.

I found the characters very engaging, and I particularly like Rachael's annoyance at the way that Rio was treated by the villagers despite all the aid he gives them. In addition to the suspense and fast paced action, Ms Feehan's sense of fun and humour shine through.

I would highly recommend this, and can't wait for the next story to come from the heat of the jungle.
