Summary: Christine Feehan Fan
Review: I have always looked forward to a Christine Feehan book. Wild Rain is a little different from her Carpathian books but so were some of her other works that I have read. The book was missing Feehans fire. It took me a week to get through this book. Normally I read a book written by Feehan in a day.

Perhaps others would like the book but I am a disappointed fan.

Summary: WOW
Review: I love this suthor. She has a great thing going with the "vampire" novels, but these new ones are just as wonderful. I couldn't put the book down. Read the entire thing with 4 hrs. WOW!

Summary: Bad enough to make me write a review
Review: I stumbled onto this book while browsing one the lists Amazon readers' create. I was about to go on vacation and needed to stock up on reading materials, so I pretty much purchased the entire list of supernatural-themed books. On the whole, I think the list's creator did a good job and I enjoyed most of the books she recommended, that is, until I hit this clunker.

I must admit while I regularly rely on the reviews posted on Amazon, I rarely write them myself - pretty lame I know, but what can I say, I'm lazy. I only find myself writing reviews for books I truly love or just couldn't stand. Sadly, Wild Rain definitely falls into the latter category.

I couldn't even make it through the book, which almost never happens no matter how poor the book is. I kept trying to pick it up and just finish it for the sake of finishing it, but I couldn't even manage that. Without belaboring the point too much, I found the plot, pacing and dialogue all lacking. I just couldn't seem to muster any enthusiasm for the main characters at all. I kept looking to see if Fabio was on the cover, because this seems to be the kind of book that he would grace the cover of. Of course there is man clad in a loin cloth giving his best menacing "come hither" look on the inside cover (this should of tipped me off, but I try to be open minded about these things.) As hard as I try, I just can't say anything positive about this book - I mean it was total drivel from the start.

I've read some other reviews that indicate that this might not be Feehan's best work and that I might be better served trying some of her other books, but as it stands right now, I doubt I'll ever attempt to read one of her books again.

Summary: A Rainy Day Book
Review: I thought this book was pretty good, but just kind of was missing a little something. The plot was strong and very intresting. The characters were memorable and the setting was beautiful. All in all I would recommend this to anyone who loves to read paranormal romance novels.

Summary: Great read
Review: I throughly enjoyed reading Wild Rain. It started out a little slower than I'm used to when reading a Christine Feehan book, but it didn't take long before it was impossible to put down.

Summary: Excellent!!!
Review: I waited for this book to come out for what seemed like FOREVER, and when it did I was not disappointed. Wild Rain is one of those books that keeps you on edge until the very end. In Wild Rain both the hero and heroine are hunted by enemies and haunted by their pasts. They meet in a clash of wills and love with the same blazing fervor. I really love how suspenseful Christine Feehan made this book. There were times when I got really annoyed when the heroine wouldn't speak about her past, and then there were times when the hero's attitude really got on my nerves. There was a bit of blood and gore in this book that definitely made me cringe at times, but didn't take away from the love story. Wild Rain was a wonderful book, and another smash hit of Christine Feehan's! I loved it!

Summary: Hot! Hot! Hot!!!
Review: I wanted to pack my bags and move to the rain forest after I read this book! Rio is hot!!! If you like action, passion and fantasy, you will not want to miss out on this book.

At first I was skeptical because of the whole leopard thing. I wasn't going to read it. But after reading some online reviews, I figured I'd give it a chance. I'm so glad that I did, because this book is going in "will read again" archive.

Rio and Rachael make a hot couple. Christine is so descriptive that you feel as though you are right there with them. She paints a vivid picture of the rain forest, from the way the trees hang, to the animals and rivers. You can actually see the mist of waterfalls and hear the rain. There is tons of action and adventure to go along with the sensuality. Rio is so sexy, you'll want to take him away from Rachael. Although I wouldn't recommend that you try.

-If you like this, you'll love "Under a Wild Sky" by Sasha Lord.

Summary: Passionate Shapeshifter Romance Set in Lush Rainforest
Review: I'm a big fan of Christine Feehan's Carpathian series and was curious to find out how she would tackle another theme. She does a terrific job with "White Rain." I just couldn't put this novel down and must have read it in two sittings. The story is fresh, very original, although there is much fiction about "shapeshifters" on the market today. Her main characters, Rachael and Rio, are fleshed-out well, very believable and the chemistry between them sizzles. The secondary characters, Kim Pang, other natives and their culture, the shaman, even the pet clouded leopards Fritz and Franz, are fascinating.

Rachael Lospostos seeks sanctuary from ruthless assassins in a relatively uninhabited rainforest in Indochina. She makes the trip in the guise of a volunteer, transporting medical supplies, by boat, to remote areas in the region. During an ambush by bandits, Rachael slips overboard and fakes her own death. She thinks she will be able to elude the deadly killers if they no longer believe she is alive. Rachael has excellent survival training and wants to live alone...safely, without constant fear. From the moment she enters the rainforest she feels more alive than ever before. Neither jungle heat, humidity nor mosquitoes bother her. In fact she seems to thrive in the atmosphere. During a particularly bad downpour, she seeks shelter in what she believes is an abandoned tribal hut set deep in the foliage. Drowsy after the long hike inland, Rachael falls asleep and awakens to an attack by the owner of the hut, Rio Santana, and his two leopards who injure her badly. In the dark Rio, who is constantly hunted by the bandits who ambushed Rachael's party, believes her to be a dangerous intruder.

Santana, is dark, handsome and deadly - and also prefers to live in solitude - but for entirely different reasons than Rachael's. He works with an elite team of men who rescue kidnap victims from the bandits who operate in the area. Unfortunately, Rachael's leg is torn apart by the leopards in the attack, and Santana must care for her or she will die.

The two are drawn together with an intensity that is too strong to be just a normal attraction. During the period it takes for Rachael to recover, they try to ferret out information about each other's lives - not an easy task as both are extremely private people. They begin to discover that they have more in common than most, and that they are both more than they appear on the surface.

Meanwhile, the danger to Rachael has increased. Apparently the paid murderers never believed she was dead. Now, however, she has someone who wants to defend her.

This is a wonderful paranormal romance as well as a thrilling mystery-adventure. Ms. Feehan's detailed descriptions of the rainforest are lush and enrich the plot. The shapeshifting element is also handled extremely well, and oddly enough, is almost believable. A really good read!

Summary: Not up to par
Review: If you are a fan of Christine for her brilliant dark series you will be disappointed in this book. Parts of it feel like national geograpic, parts of it are too slow, and in general the story and the characters just aren't as evolved as her Carpathian books. I hate to say it about an auther I love so much, but I don't find this series worth reading at all. However if you are looking for a good read, check out any of her dark books. They are AWESOME.

Summary: I loved it!!!
Review: It was a wild ride, and I loved every page. Read it in one day, could not put it down all day.
It was sensual, lusty, but with such a romantic setting, you were just thrown into the book, as if you are there with them. The story never quits... and the beauty of the forest was vivid and wonderful. I never got bored not for a minute.
The sex left me breathless ...making it feel normal and a wonderful part of the story, not all trashy like some books can do. The animals were entertaining, almost like a Tarzan movie. However, this is not a Tarzan... this is romance and creativity at its best. It is worth keeping, and I will definitly read more books by this author.
