Rating: Summary: A warm, fuzzy feeling! Review: This was a great book to read on a snowy day. I loved it. The main characters, Abby and Spencer, truly were likable. Too often in romance novels, one or other of the leads is likable, but the other is just so-so. Not in this case. They both were instantly likable. Abby is an American with a questionable pedigree. Spencer has a problem which keeps him from wanting to get married, but this problem wasn't overdone or unrealistic. I won't give spoilers, but this book moves along quickly, has some really funny secondary characters, and comes to a believable and satisfactory conclusion. I have always read Sabrina Jeffries. The Pirate Lord is one of my all-time favorites and Married to the Viscount is a keeper, also. Characters from the last book are mentioned and it was nice to see them again. All in all, this was an excellent book that was hard to put down.
Rating: Summary: Way up there on the enjoyability scale... Review: Viscount Ravenswood is seriously arrogant and haughty....on the surface. And he says and does some truly awful things to Abigail...but then he's trying to push her away. In the end, the man Abigail first fell in love with (the softer man that almost no one sees) comes to the fore as Ravenswood discovers that it's not his place to direct the lives of everyone around him. The warm-hearted and brave Abigail is just the woman he needs to teach him some hard truths and to love him just the same. And part of that lesson comes when she tries to be what she thinks he wants -- tear-jerker material there. The "mystery" surrounding Ravenswood's brother's disappearance is kept at just the right level, keeping the reader just unsure enough of the truth to stay with the unravelling. Sensuality? I liked the scene in the theatre hallway. :-) I thoroughly enjoyed the book and thought it was a solid story with emotional depth.
Rating: Summary: I never been the first for a review!!!! Review: Wow!! Never been the first for anything. I am glad the review will be a good review. And that it is...a good review. Sabrina Jefferies has never let me down. I just grabbed it from the shelf of the drug store, not knowing it was by Ms Jeffries, I just read the back, it looked ok, and bought it in a hurry. I was so happy when I settled down with it, and saw it was from one of my favorite authors. And even more thrilled... when it turned out to be as good ...as her other books. Romance and a good story. My kind of book. Thanks Ms. Jeffries.
