Rating: Summary: A sequel, please!! Review: Ashley St. Claire is wealthy, indulged and doesn't own a piece of clothing that isn't designer. On her 30th birthday, Ashley decides to go slumming, pick up a guy in a bar and have wild sex with him. Scott Wilde is owner of a construction company, very down to earth and is hoping that the right woman will come along, one who is honest with him. A few years ago, Scott was burned by a rich woman who lied to him and used him as a "boy toy". Ashley and Scott are immediately attracted to each other so she goes to his house for sex. How dumb is that? She knew nothing about this guy, he could have been abusive or a serial killer. But I digress. Ashley never tells Scott anything about herself except her first name. He wants to see her again but Ashley doesn't want her family to know about him. OK, she had an "incident" with a man several years ago because of her money but Scott doesn't know who she is so what's the problem? She acted as if she were ashamed of him and that he wasn't good enough. She treated him exactly like the woman in his past had. I really have little tolerance for people who think that just because they have money and wear designer clothes they are somehow above everyone else. I loved Scott and as always, Janelle Denison's writing. But I just couldn't see much in Ashley and I can't imagine her and Scott being together. Maybe I'm just in a picky mood today. That said I would definitely recommend this one and I'm looking forward to a sequel!

Rating: Summary: Not Her Best Review: Eeps! That's the best start. There I was, so in love with her novella "Something Wilde" from "I Brake for Bad Boys" that I was just panting for another story. So eagerly I bought this and Wilde Thing. I read Wilde thing first and it was imaginative and steamy. In comparison, this read like stereo instructions. She writes one helluva hot novella but her full length novels are slow to develop. In this one we have rich girl meets blue collar boy and it's just sadly predictible. You find yourself wondering why she has to hide her name from him so bad, why she keeps being such a b***h to him, and why he keeps taking her back. Add to that a sex scene which involves the champagne bottle seen on the cover, YIKES! and you have a story that's uncomfortable and not romantic. It was a pretty good idea and well written in terms of details and charcater interraction, but I have one beef with it. She keeps setting things in Chicago and as a native to the Second City I barely recognize any facet of the town in it. I mean, ugh. Anonymous coffee shops? Betsy Johnson boutique on Michigan Avenue? No way. I know Ms. Dennison lives n Italy but I think I'll mail her a guide to the city. Sorry I didn't rehash the plot, didn't think I needed to. This one might be worth reading, particularly if you're determined to keep the flow of the Wilde stories going, but if you're new to Ms. Dennison, don't start here.
Rating: Summary: The Wilde boys are back! Very highly recommended Review: For her thirtieth birthday Ashley St. Claire makes an erotic and provocative wish. After three years, for one night, she wants to walk on the wild side. So she trades her designer suits for a short skirt and heads to a bar on the outskirts of Chicago. There she meets Scott Wilde, the bachelor who agrees to make her fantasies a reality. But she introduces herself as "Just Ashley" and after a fantastic night together, slips out in the morning without leaving a clue to her identity. She has been burned one too many times for being one of the St. Claires of the wealthy family that owns a five star hotel chain. Scott cannot forget the girl who rocked his world. While Ashley is obviously a good girl, her eagerness to be bad for a night proves absolutely irresistible. When she disappears without a trace the next morning, Scott cannot help feeling intensely disappointed. So when she calls a few days later, he eagerly welcomes an opportunity to talk. But he has already been burned once by a woman who kept secrets, and he is desperate to know Ashley's true identity. It will take more than a wild ride between the sheets to convince Ashley to give him a real chance. Readers have come to expect excellence from author Janelle Denison, and once again she delivers with THE WILDE SIDE. A provocatively sexy read that readers will find impossible to put down, THE WILDE SIDE strikes the perfect balance between sensuality, erotica and romance. Ashley and Scott struggle with conflicts and emotional baggage that keep their characters depth. Ashley proves her heart to be made of gold as she struggles with thefts from her boutique. Yet she has spent most of her life living up to other people's expectations rather than honoring her own needs and desires. Scott is remarkably believable hero who once made a mistake that cost the family business dearly, and a personal choice that makes him incredibly gun shy of anyone who cannot be absolutely forthright. Fans will be eagerly awaiting the next installment of the Wilde family. THE WILDE SIDE comes very highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: Pretty good. I like the Wilde men!! Review: I like the Wilde men, I have to admit. I have not read any of the anthology stories, only because I do not usually read anthologies. Dont like 'em. But Im thinking about going to the library to get them to get the rest of the Wilde stories. I thought this book was pretty good, being that the main plot was Scott trying to get Ashley to be with him forever, and Ashley having a reality check that took too long to click. It also struck a nerve how Ashley could act and Scott just accepted it. Other wise, it was good.
Rating: Summary: Wilder Than Ever Review: Janelle Denison has written other books in the series. The Wilde family (don't you wish they really existed ?) is a sexy family, mostly of hot young studs who have a rebellious, wild and passionate nature. Other books in the series include I Break For Bad Boys and Wilde Thing. The Wilde Side is her latest book. Here, Scott's character is typically "Wilde". He is attractive, charismatic, a playboy, rough around the edges, sexually dominant and other flaws. He does not seem to want a relationship at all until he meets - Ashley St. Claire, an obvious fictional parody of Paris Hilton, the hotel heiress. Ashley is beautiful and very rich, as she is herself a hotel heiress. She is tired of having to put up with men who are only interested in her money and in sharing her status. On her 30th birthday (yes the big 30 when you old age begins!!!) she decides to have a little fun, something she has held back for years. Without revealing her true identity, she becomes involved with none other than Scott. The two engage in cat and mouse chases before they finally come to the conclusion that they were meant to be together. Like a romantic comedy but with many sex scenes sure to rock your world, this is a great read for the summer. This book will get you into the series and is a welcome change from the previous Wilde Thing, which did not seem to end conclusively. This book does. And do I have to repeat the fact that the lovemaking scenes are so hot and detailed it will leave you hot and bothered for months ? A great book if you're a fan of Janelle Denison and her bad boys in need of taming.
Rating: Summary: Oh, baby! Review: Man oh man! This book represents my introduction to Janelle Denison. Janelle, where have you been?! I trolled the bookstore in search of something new and steamy, and I found this book. I was not disappointed. This book sizzles, and it's very well-written! My only critique is that it wasn't longer. Janelle, I'm off in search of more of your work--you rock!

Rating: Summary: I Love This Family!!!! Review: Ms. Denison has gifted us with another great sexy, and fun read with the latest in the Wilde Family series. Ashley St. Claire has not had an easy time finding the perfect relationship. If they aren't out for her money (her family is a well-to-do family in Chicago owning their own hotels in several great cities) then they think that she is just a good girl and not worth bothering with. Ashley decides that it's up to her to find the one guy that will be interested in her not her portfolio so she uses her birthday wish to find the perfect guy to have the most incredible "melt your bones" fling with. What she doesn't expect to find is the one man that will offer her that and so much more!!! Bad boy Scott Wilde knows how to love a woman right, the problem is he's had the misfortune of being a boy toy one to many times and is now looking for the perfect woman to maybe live happily ever after since most of his family has managed to not only fall in love but marry and in some cases start having families. Scott is totally blown away though when on a dare from his Wilde brothers attempts to pick up the beauty that has just walked into the bar that he is hanging out in. Scott can tell that she is different right away, and since he has never met a dare that he walked away from he heads towards the beauty at the bar that has been shooting down every guy that has approached her. He is totally blown away when said lady askes him to be her birthday present. Well, heck he would be a fool to say no. Problem is Ashley touches him on many different levels and this hard working contractor has his work cut out for him proving that their one night stand was just the beginning of a very good thing. This was again a fast paced read that was both sexy and fun. Many of the Wilde clan are included in this book and it's fun to see how their lives have moved on. New secondary characters only add to this great story. Scott and Ashley had great chemistry and Ms. Denison managed to keep them both mixed up without the "problem" becoming overly tedious. The premise of working class stiff, and rich girl had me a bit skeptical but Ms. Denison managed to pull it off. If you are a fan of this series you won't want to miss this latest installment. If you are new to Ms. Denison then you are in for a real good read!
