Summary: An Adolescent Boy's Dreams Come True...
Review: Krya is stunned when a 7-foot tall warrior shows up at the spa she is at and rips off all of her clothes - without even touching her! Zor, the warrior, claims that Kyra is his sacred mate and wisks her off to his spaceship where they set off for his planet. While they are traveling, Zor attempts to adjust Krya to what life will be like on his planet by making her wear the traditional clothing - two filmy scraps of fabric that are sheer and bringing her to climax repeatedly at the dinner table, with his brother dining with them! Kyra isn't so sure she likes this world and is in for even more surprises when they land.Turns out is is normal for the men to comment on the beauty of female breasts and pubic hair and to have strange males bring the females to climax at dinner when there is a mating ceremony. The female has to remove her clothing immediately when her mate enters the room and is expected to climax with her husband and guests while bathing every morning. Entertainment is viewed from beds in box seats where couples have sex in public without worrying about people watching. Unmated males have female sex slaves and sand creations who appear to be female to keep them pleasured. Once women get pregnant, as Kyra soon does, their breasts swell up to an enormous size and are filled with sweet juice for their babies, which are born in egg sacks. Kyra quickly adjusts to the world, of course, and finds that she loves it there, but she keeps trying to override her husband so that he knows that he doesn't dominate her, but she is not very successful. I think that this book would be much more appealing to men than to women. There are some hot sex scenes which women will like, true, but they are repeated so often throughout the book and with very little, if any plot, to hold them together, let alone character development that they just didn't hold my attention for very long. This world is definitely male dominated and the females are little more than sex slaves, sacred mate or no. I was not impressed with this book at all and do not feel that it is worth the high price that you pay. I bought my ebook copy from the publisher and so saved a little bit of money, but I much prefer a book that actually has a story to it than something like this!

Summary: A Humerous, Steamy Read - Very Imaginative!
Review: Kyra Summers and her best friend Geris Jackson are vacationing at The Smiling Faces And Peaceful Hearts Meditation Retreat to relieve stress from their lives as independent, Alpha-career women. Kyra is a busy tax accountant whose career is extremely important to her. Unfortunately the retreat turns out to be soooo not their thing - BORING! Eating rabbit food everyday, no pizza, and doing breathing exercises with a motley group of dorks, (not to sound snobby, but these people are real nerds, trust me!), the two friends can't wait to leave. So they are astonished into speechlessness when on the day of departure, Kyra is kidnapped by a 7-foot tall warrior, built like Arnold Schwartzeneggar when he was still pumping iron. Zor Q'an Tal, the warrior, is also the High King of Tryston, Emperor of Trek Mi Q'an galaxy, Guardian of the Sacred Sands, and the "most feared man in six hundred galaxies and seven dimensions." Well, Kyra wanted some excitement after all that stress relief!
The Chief Priestess of Tryston had informed her king that he would find his Sacred Mate, the only woman who could be his Empress, on the primitive, first dimension world of Earth. And her name is, (you guessed it!), Kyra Summers! So Zor jumps into his trusty gastrolight cruiser with his best friend Dak and makes a quick trip to Earth, where he absconds with His Sacred Mate. He manages to frighten her into shock, when, without touching her, he rips off all her clothes. From now on she will remain nude when with her new husband, and when in the presence of others, she will wear the traditional dress for Trystonian woman, two pieces of sheer fabric that resemble a skimpy bra and sarong. Kyra is immediately put to sleep, to avoid trouble on the return trip, and when she awakens, Zor begins to discuss the features and culture of her new, male dominated world. Oh, there is much to accustom herself to on Zor's hedonistic planet, where few (Earthly) inhibitions exist.
Jaid Black has filled her novel with wonderful humor and romance, as well as super steamy erotic scenes. Kyra, the new Empress, does eventually become accustomed to her new clothes and to her husband, who turns out to be lovable as well as sexy!. As a matter of fact, she would never choose to return to her old life on Earth. Her adventures, as she moves along an emotional roller coaster from outrage, to curiosity, to acceptance to outright uninhibited enjoyment and love, are filled with laughter, satire and sizzling heat. Ms. Black knows how to tell a terrific story. Her world building, original and endearing characters, and alien landscapes are creative, unusual and very imaginative. A very enjoyable fantasy read!

i love this book,if you bought it in e-book format please buy it in paperback, you'll read it over and over again.
its one of those stories where the chracters never gets stale.
now on to the good parts, the sex,man this is a sorcher, you need a cold room and your dh or db, next to you when you finish this one.
you wont regret it, i also love the way ms. black layed out the alien world and their culture you wont, be dissappointed. you'll feel like you are their also.

Summary: Worth 10 stars!
Review: Start with this book and work your way down Jaid Black's list. There's no avoiding it...once you read Black you never go back. Seriously this series is one of the best futuristic/paranormal romance reads in print. Not for the faint of heart by any stretch of the imagination, make sure you have a cool drink near by for these incredibly hot sex scenes. While sex and sexuality make up for a core strength in this author's work, you'll be amazed at how well she involves you in the plot structure and characterization of the new reality she has created. This is not your run of the mill erotica...this is Romantica! If you like Dara Joy or Christine Feehan you'll LOVE Jaid Black.

Review: The book was okay. I was expecting more monogamy among the main characters--especially after getting married or mated. The extra tongue, teeth, lips, etc. the main characters received from the other characters in the book was distracting and to me took away from the romance of the "romantica". Oh well call me Old Fashioned.

Summary: Futuristic Erotic Romance
Review: The Empress' New Clothes's best points, in my opinion, were the humor and some of the scorching love scenes. Exhibitionism is a recurring theme in some of Ms. Black's romances, so don't be shocked to see it in this book, especially since it's part of the hero's culture. Her hero is very dominating, or "Alpha" for seasoned romance readers. Her heroine was spunky, despite her inclination to be a tad submissive. I enjoyed the main characters and, eventually, plan on reading about some of the secondary characters.
