Rating: Summary: This is a keepeer Review: I was hooked from the first paragraph. The story is one I love going from earth and outward to another planet. It give great character details and I laughed so hard at the situations Kara and friends find themselve getting into. I also enjoyed the male view of what they thought was right. I have read and reread this book and still enjoy it every time. Thanks for the adventure and keep going on with this universe.
Rating: Summary: The Empress' New Clothes Review: I wish I'd read some of the reviews more carefully. I gave this book three stars because it was an adventure and it was funny. But that is where my praise ends. It lacks originality. The author obviously read Warrior's Woman by Johanna Lindsey. Many of the author's ideas seem inspired by it. Even the name structures seem like they were stolen from that novel. I don't feel that in all the pages of this novel that I got to know the main characters. I know nothing of their dreams, aspirations, or personalities. Some may equate monogamy with monotony, but I'm not one of those people. Enough said. The characters actions lacked any kind of logic. For example, at the end of the novel, there was danger and the warriors wanted to keep everyone within the castle walls. Kyra and her friend Geris, who had probably been outside of the castle twice prior to this, decide that they just must have an outing.

Rating: Summary: THe Empress' New Clothes Review: If you are an avid reader like me you are going to LOVE this book. Jaid Black is one of todays outstanding writting talents. I have read Emma Holly and love her books but with this book I was more drawn to the characters. Its a wonderful blend of Sci Fi and erotica. If you are looking for HOT HARD BODY heros this is a must buy. I just wish I had my own warrior to sweep me off my feet and after reading Empress you will too. Kudos Jaid.
Rating: Summary: A Hot Introduction To A Steamy New Series!!! Review: If you like adventure in far away places with erotic romance that has strong characters that love each other, then this is the story for you. The characters sizzle with passion and determination, with an "I won't take No for an answer," mentality. Remember this is not for the feint of heart, it is Romantica at its best and Steamiest. Heck, I had to fan myself every few pages. :-)
Rating: Summary: Just lots of fun Review: If you like Knight of a Trillion Stars by Dara Joy, than I think you'd like The Empress' New Clothes by Jaid Black. This book is a sci/fi fantacy with an erotic twist. I'm completely addicted to all of the Trek series and only wish that Jaid would write faster.
Rating: Summary: Jaid Black is SMOKIN'! Review: If you like romance, if you like futuristics, if you like HOT, this is the series for you. Mind you, this is not for the timid and throw your preconceived notions about morals and romances out the window before you sit down with this book. At times I was shocked, and at first I wasn't sure if I liked some of the things the characters did. But the erotic factor is off the charts and so is the romance--after you adjust to the sexual standards on the planet of Tryston. I just finished Book 3 in the Trek Mi Q'an series, and I can tell you it only gets better!
Rating: Summary: FABULOUS ROMANTICA AUTHOR YOU CAN'T MISS Review: Jaid Black is a fantastic romantica author!! I can't say enough about her books. This series is a must read! The Empress' New Clothes, introduces you to many wonderful characters that you come to really identify with (and want to read more about). I find her writing style to be fresh and full of humor and a lot of emotion. After finishing this book I went on to purchase every last one of her other books. Both from this series and other stand-alones. I believe the motto posted on her web-site "Once you go Black you never go Back" is quite accurate. Give Jaid a try you will thank yourself!!!
Rating: Summary: 5 STARS IS NOT ENOUGH Review: Jaid Black is definitely the new millenium's romantica goddess. The Empress' New Clothes is a definite keeper and I highly recommend it to readers who like their romances hot and sensual. This is my first Jaid Black book and will not be the last. Zor and Kyra and the other characters from Planet Tryston will continue to entertain readers of futuristic romance with all the continuing sequels from a very talented author.
Rating: Summary: OUT OF THIS WORLD! Review: Jaid Black takes us on an adventure, the likes of which most fantasy romance have never dared. She has made a successful leap that embodies a true romance with eroticism, and humor. The characters that are given birth in Ms. Black's imagination are translated so well to the page, as to remain with the reader long after the book is finished. The story begins with the abduction of Kyra Summers by the Emperor of Trek Mi Q'an galaxy. Kyra is whisked off to a brand new world, were she must adjust to a new life as sacred mate to Zor Q'an Tal, High King and Emperor. The customs of this new world are enough to make an earthling blush! This is all done with Ms. Blacks unique since of timing and humor. Highly recommended reading, for those who like a lot of steam and humor in there romance.
