Summary: A GREAT sequel...
Review: Dark-Hunter, Talon of the Morrigantes is brought to the pages in this book that you will not put down until you read the last page. Having renounced his soul for vengance on his Celtic clan, Talon knows that nothing will ever touch his feelings again. Taught by the oldest Dark-Hunter alive, his feelings are buried so deep, Talon doubts that they'll ever resurface. With Mardi Gras coming to New Orleans, the patrols are tripled and suddenly Talon is faced with a woman who's face and body he can't forget.

Sunshine Runningwolf has only ever lived for her art. When she meets the dark stranger he saved her life...only to get run over by a Mardi Gras float. Feeling it is her civic duty, Sunshine takes the hunk home, where she is drawn into a world that she never even guess exsisted.

I don't want to give away too much, but this book was truly awesome. Not only did we get Talon and Sunshine's story, we understood exactly what happend to Talon and how Sunshine factors into it all. She introduced the reader to a new Dark-Hunter, who I was immediately drawn to, Zarek. Acheron is also back, more than ever, and I honestly cried for him by the end of the book. These books can not come out fast enough for me and I can't wait until the next one!

Summary: Totally Amazing!
Review: I LOVED this book. I love all of her Dark Hunter books so far, but this one is the absolute best! I was cracking up while I read it. It was absolutely hilarious. When Zarek comes to town and meets up with Talon, Ash and Valerius I was literally laughing out loud. Sherrilyn Kenyon truly has an amazing way with words. In this one book alone she made me laugh (very hard), cry (almost), get angry, smile, and wish that the world she has created were real. I would reccommend this book to anyone. It is sure to delight romance fans, action/suspense fans and vampire fiction fans alike. The only problem I had with it was that I wanted to find out more about Zarek and especially Ash. I can't wait until the next book "Dance With the Devil" (Zarek's story) comes out! I will wait with bated breat until next December. She is supposed to write a story about Ash, and I cannot wait for that one. READ THIS BOOK, you WON'T be disappointed. I'd give it a million stars but the limit is five.

Summary: If you've missed the Dark Hunters, it's time to BITE!
Review: If you haven't discovered Sherrilyn Kenyon's "Dark Hunters," then you are missing what may be the best paranormal romance series that I have ever read. Kenyon has created a world so rich in detail, so compelling in its characters, and so vivid in emotion, you will be glued to every word and wait impatiently for each new offering. An incredible bonus - her web sites are the best author sites I've ever visited, and you can spend literally hundreds of hours exploring the worlds, dimensions, characters and backstories to her creations. Check out her Hunter sites at HunterLegends.com.

"Night Embrace" is the story of Talon, who was first introduced in "Night Pleasures" and roars back in on his motorcycle in a flash of leather and gorgeous muscle. Talon was a Celtic chieftain, who for an act of vengeance traded his soul to the goddess Artemis and now serves her to protect mankind from the Daimons, who would steal humans' souls and with it their lives. Kenyon says that her Dark Hunters are "mad, bad and immortal," and Talon lives up to his billing. Along with the Talon, you will meet his boss, Acheron, the leader of the Hunters; Nick, one of the human Squires who serve the needs of the Hunters; Zarek, Valerius and Wulf, fellow Hunters who each have their own stories coming out soon; and an entire supporting cast of were-creatures, gods and goddesses, humans and demigods, all running around modern-day New Orleans during Mardi Gras.

Kenyon's writing is delightful to read, the romance is hot, Hot, HOT, the humor is laugh-out-loud funny, and the characters will stay with you long after the books are read. She deals with the themes of duty and honor, families by blood and families by choice, love and loss, pain and redemption, at a level that will make you laugh, cry and live every scene of every page right along with the characters. I recommend Sherrilyn Kenyon's books over any other fiction I've read in a long, long time. Meet her Dark Hunters, lose your heart to her heroes, and buy yourself many wonderful hours of pleasure. Enjoy!

Summary: Can't wait for Acheron's story!
Review: I've been waiting for this book for a long time and it didn't disappoint! It takes you on an emotional roller-coaster sweeping from the high of Talon and Sunshine's relationship to the low of Acheron's bondage with Artemis. It brings in the Kataringa, shape shifters with the hearts of animals, new characters like Valerius and Zarek and heralds the return of beloved old characters Kyrian and Julian.

I agree wholeheartedly with the assessment that this book can rip the heart out of you and mend it back again, although it does not leave you entirely unscathed. Unlike many romances I have read, Night Embrace left me with a real ache in the heart. The story is not entirely happy-ever-after and in the end the beauty of Talon's love for Sunshine and hers for him was overshadowed for me by the confusion of Valerius and Zarek's relationship (a rather hurried end there) and ultimately by the hurt you feel for Ash whose existence is manipulated by the cruel goddess Artemis. The flashes of vulnerability you see from the otherwise confident Achelon induces you to fall more and more in love with him and intensifies your dislike for Artemis. If there is one story I cannot wait to read it is Ash's story and I really sincerely hope that in it he finds the love that eludes him and finally gets out from Artemis's grasp!

Overall a brilliant read, one you'll find yourself quite unable to put down, and you'll await breathlessly for the next book. I know I will! :)

Summary: Bring On The Rest
Review: Sherrilyn Kenyon has outdone herself in this third installment (technically 2nd) of her Dark-Hunter Series.

Night Embrace is Talon's story and what a story I have to say that it's the best story so far.........!!!! But wait there are plenty more stories to come (bring on Zarek!)

The only downside I can see for this series is they don't come out every MONTH!!!!!

So for all her fans this series we have to put uup with drooling and getting sneak peeks for upcoming stories on her Dark-Hunter website.

But getting back to Night Embrace we have a story full of blood, fangs, gods, god-bolts, new characters, drool worthy guys, feisty heroines, hints to future alliances and stories, were-hunters, dream-hunters and many many more. SK has a whole 'nother world that will have you begging for more as soon as you start on this serie of books.

So if you are umming & ahhhing whether to purchase this book or not, Just do it and get the rest and welcome to a whole new world. You'll never want to leave.....

Summary: FANTASTIC!!!!!
Review: Sherrilyn Kenyon has outdone herself this time. The two main characters, Talon and his "lifemate" Sunshine are deep and true. They pull you into the story so fast you don't know what hit you. all the other characters are multi-dimensional as well. In this book you meet not only more Dark Hunters, but you get to meet the Were-Hunters as well. With the new characters, we can look forward to MANY more stories from Sherrilyn Kenyon. This book will have you laughing, in tears and at the edge of your seat. The jokes between the different hunters make you laugh out loud. You feel like you know each of them and cheer them on. There is a lot of wonderful sexual encounters between Talon and Sunshine that leave you breathless and giggling with their jokes. (Yes, Dark Hunters do have a sense of humor!). Wait until you get a description of the Were-Hunters. You thought the Dark Hunters were bad and had attitudes? You ain't seen nothing yet. Don't wait to get this book as it's even better than the last two. Oh, Krian and Julian also have roles in this book. So grab a chair, get comfortable and join the Hunters!

Summary: My first book from her is good.
Review: I bought this book because it's predessors before had great reviews that I had to give her books a try. And no disapointment here, I will gladly read her next book. Sure it's cheesey is some places and some cheap sex, but some great plot situations and also some great actions scenes. She can go far with this series if she can keep working at it. Talon is a great hero and Sunshine can keep sure keep up with him and to me really put this guy to shame. I have already pre-ordered Zarek's story and really looking forward to reading about him and Astrid. So give this series a try you will be glad that you did.

Summary: Love the Dark Hunter!
Review: With her smart, sassy style and eye for detail, Sherrilyn Kenyon does it again! Talon, the celtic dark hunter we met in Night Pleasures, is back. When he is hit by a runaway Mardi Gras float, Talon finds himself in Sunshine Runningwolf's loving (if somewhat forgetful) hands. But Talon is more than a dark hunter, a man who has given up his soul to hunt vampires, he is cursed by a celtic god. Trapped between the love he can't deny and a curse he can't break, Talon knows he has to set Sunshine free. But can he walk away? With vampires on the loose, a psychopathic dark hunter on the prowl and gods (both greek and celtic) running around looking for his blood, Kenyon keeps you guessing and never disappoints!

(I can't wait for her to write one about Acheron!)

Summary: It will beak your heart and then mend it again
Review: I have waited impatiently for Talon's story and now that I had the opportunity to read this book, it has made my faith in Sherrylin's talent even stronger. Talon, first introduced in Night Pleasure (Kyrian's story) is enjoying his chicorry coffee and warm beignets at Cafe Du Monde, while taling to his best friend Wulf on the phone. He notices a group of Diamons waiting to make a meal out of any tourist. Regretting having to leave his warm cofee and beignets, he gets to meet a woman who turns his life upside down. Sunshine Runningwolf is a starving artist who has " the attention span of a sick flea." After their meeting, Talon can't keep Sunshine out of his head, while their enemy have their own plans to destroy them both. Cumulus, a Celtic God who hates Talon and has vowed to make him and his suffer, and Dyonisus, a Greek God wanting to gain his Godhood, join forces with Stynx. Stynx wants to keep Talon and Acheron occupied while he sets his plans to get vengaence. This book is fantastic from beginning to end, it grabs your attention completely and sets in motion a joyride that will keep you glued to your seat. "Night Embrace" has so many aspects that you will be dumstruck once you start reading.
In this book we finally get to meet Zarek, the psychotic SOB, according to Nick. Valerius, the Roman general who both Kyrian and Julian would die to get their hands on. And Vane and his brother Fang, Katagari slayers who help Talon and Acheron more than once. These characters will turn this book into an enjoyable ride for the readers as it delves more deeply into the personalities of each one of them
This book is so multifaceted, first we have the wit and humor the characters posses, and then we have the seriousness and the danger. Both being opposite extremes that anyone will be able to enjoy.
The ending blew me away since it has the most heart wrenching scenes I have ever read, especially Acheron's. The ending is the essence of the book and it's well worth anything since it gives you what I consider one of the best parts of the book and scenes that will be unforgettable for anyone reading it. You don't even have to like the book to consider the last scenes the best you have ever read.
What I appreciated mostly in this installment on the Dark Hunter Series was how the reader gets to know more of Acheron's past and the many demons that haunt him. Since "Night Pleasures" Acheron became one of my favorite characters and learning more of him in this book became a treat. The book really gets you to understand many of his peculiar actions and you finally discover what his real hair color is. For that you will have to read, I will not spoil it. Now, I'm waiting for the next installment, Zarek's story, which I'm sure will be just as enjoyable and fun packed as Talon's.
I really recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance, with a lot of action and Greek and Cetic gods messing with people's lives. It's one of the best books I have read and one of the only ones that have held me entralled to know what happens next. I rarely find a book that could fill up my expectations, but believe me, "Night Embrace" will do much more than that. It will break your heart and then mend it again. Yes, it is that good.

Summary: Sexy Comic Book
Review: I read a lot of action-based romances, and I've found that there is a fine line that must be walked to keep both the action and the romance balanced enough to make the book a good one. I think Ms. Kenyon did that well in Fantasy Lover and Night Pleasures. Unfortunately, she missed the mark in this latest episode of the Dark Hunter saga.

The dialogue (and internal monologues) of all the characters in this book read like a comic book (lots of "oooo, I'm so scared" and "puh-lease" -type lines). I kept expecting Peter Parker as Spiderman to join the enormous cast of characters - his one-liners would've fit right in.

As for the romance: the author equates sexual marathons with eternal love; Talon and Sunshine hit the sheets (and the couch, and the kitchen counter, etc.) every chance they get, and the only way we know they actually LIKE, never mind love, each other--for reasons other than sex--is because they tell us so (no show-don't-tell in this book).

But I have to admit I'm hooked on this series. I like the world Kenyon has created, and I keep hoping she'll hone her craft so that we truly feel like we understand the love story as well as we understand the action (Fantasy Lover came close to this--since the plot required the h/h to avoid consumating their relationship, we actually saw some bonding.).

Relationship development didn't happen in this book, but according to Ms. Kenyon's web site there will be many more books to come, so I'll keep reading them, hoping for a glimmer of real romance to go with my taste for comic book adventure.

In fact, I have hopes for Zarek's story. I've read the teaser on the Dark-Hunters.com web site, and I didn't see the silly dialogue. I also thought I caught a glimpse of some real character development there. I can only hope, because I can't seem to give up on this series or this author just yet!
