Rating: Summary: She's at it again Review: After reading the first two Shopaholic books and finding myself laughing outloud, I was very excited to see this book. You can't help loving it, especially if you have read the first two. If you have not read the first two you will be disappointed. It would not be as funny if you didn't know the backround of Becky, aka "the Shopaholic". This is a great book, but before you give it a chance read the first two. It is a better read that way.
Rating: Summary: Entertaining As Always Review: Becky Bloomwood is finally getting married. How much trouble could she possibly get into now? More than ever before! As always, Becky has trouble saying no, no to her pushy and autocratic future mother-in-law, no to family friends who all want to plan her wedding and of course no to more than one wedding dress. Why only have one when you can have six or seven?? The end result will keep you entertained right up to Becky's wedding day. I have been highly entertained by the adventures of Becky Bloomwood over the past few years and look forward to more by this author with her new series due out next year. Well done!
Rating: Summary: Shopaholic Strikes Again! Review: THIS IS THE BEST SERIES EVER! I think that Sophie Kinsella hit big with the Shopaholic series, and Shopaholic Ties the Knot is another hit. Becky Blomwood is back and is getting herself in trouble again. This time it's not that she shops too much...which she still does...but she has two different weddings being planned for the same day! Only Becky could get herself into...and out of...this situation. Hilarious antics ensue and she comes out on top...again! This is a great read and you will fall in love with our shopper. If you haven't read Confessions of a Shopaholic or Shopaholic Takes Manhattan read those first and finish it up with this one. I can't wait for her next series. I hope that Becky will be back to have a baby. Or maybe we can go on the honeymoon with them and see what she puts in the empty trunks she's taken along.
Rating: Summary: Becky's growing up! Review: The "Shopaholic" series gets better with each book. In this installment, we see Becky's wedding preparations and the family interaction that goes with planning such an event. If you love the usual "brand dropping" that Becky does, you may be in for a surprise. Becky has learned a lot from her early shopaholic days, and in this novel, we see a side of her that is even more likeable and endearing. Let's just say we see the softer side of Becky and Luke. There are many plot twists and turns that really keep the book moving; however, there are a few small parts that Kinsella really doesn't need (i.e. Alicia's grand entrance and Tom's confession) BUT they do add some more fun to an already fun novel. Read it. Enjoy it. I recommend that you read the other two books before reading this one, simply because the characters stay the same and grow quite a bit. Also, because to truly appreciate the Becky you see in Shopaholic Ties the Knot, you need to see just how far she has come.
Rating: Summary: Sophie Rules.. Review: I have to recommend this book to anyone who has read the previous two books in the Shopaholic series. It is a very good twist, because the plot is shifting and the characters have become more developed. If you haven't read the other two, I'd have to say hold off on this one until you read the other books from Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series.
Rating: Summary: Couldn't Put It Down Review: When I heard there would be a THIRD Shopaholic, of course I imagined it would be as good as the first two. Boy, was I in for a surprise! IT WAS BETTER! As soon as I read the first line, I was captured. I read it the whole day and finished it the next (and believe me, that is no mean feat)! I would definitely reccomend this to Shopoholics everywhere!
Rating: Summary: Been There Done That Review: As a person who loved the first two of these books, this pains me to write this, but I wish I had not bought this one. I found the first two comical and a light easy FUN read. By the time I got to book three here, I found myself thinking WHO IS THIS STUPID? Becky's moronic "everthing will work itself out attitude" was more than I could stand for another book. I know you will say... but it's just a cute book, get over it. Well I'll stick to one and two...
Rating: Summary: Exciting! Review: I liked Takes Manhattan and I love this one. Great Job!
Rating: Summary: infuriatingly funny Review: As I love all the shopaholic, I thought with out a doubt that would be a great book. But, when I started reading this I was annoyed. Becky is engaged and happy but both set of parents are making her a wedding and all I wanted to do was to yell at Becky that she should get some confidence and yell at both parents and do what she dreams of. When you read you read it you will find out what ends up happening. Yes, I said you should read this book because as infuriating as it may be Sophie Kinsella still knows what she's doing or I wouldn't have stayed up all night and day just to find if Becky's confidence kicks in. I recommend this to everyone and hope you get as deeply into this book as I have.
Rating: Summary: SHOPAHOLIC RETURNS!! (AND WITH A DIAMOND RING!) Review: The third installment of the Shopaholic is even better than the rest! During her best friend, Suze's, wedding, Becky is in for a surprise! Luke proposes write then and there and of course wedding plans are in action before Becky knows it. But theres one little problem (well maybe not so little): there are two weddings being planned on the same day. Becky's sweet mother is planning a nice, family wedding in her backyard in England and is forcing Becky to wear her old, tacky wedding dress. Then there's Elinor's wedding at the glamourous and illustrious Plaza in New York with "Sleeping Beauty" as the theme for the celebration. Becky can't turn down her mother's dream wedding even though the Plaza is tempting, or she'll break her mother's heart. And she can't turn down the Plaza wedding or she'll get sued by the wedding planner for $100,000! What will happen? Well, you'll just have to the this witty and hilarious book!
