Summary: dreadful
Review: Any writer who can pen the phrase, "And therin lied the biggest problem. . . " should never be published. (And her editor at Brava should be fired.) If, as the back blurb says, "Foster outwrites most of her peers," then the romance genre is in deep trouble. In addition to poor writing, her characters are like cardboard, and the plot drags. This book is $14--that's a lot to waste.

Summary: A Must Read
Review: Bounty hunter Bryan Kelly is trying to catch the person who beat up his brother. The only way to do that is to switch places with his twin brother Bruce, who is known as the "Preacher" to the ex-prostitutes that he helps. Before long, Bryan finds himself getting more involved than he wanted to with the women who live in his brother's shelter. One woman in particular is making his heart pound and his senses heat up.

Shay Sommers is only trying to help the same women that Bryan is when Bryan mistakes her for a hooker! She goes along with this mysterious and sexy "Preacher" hoping they can start working together, but decides to keep her real identity a secret until Bryan can get to know her and like her for herself, not her public reputation. With both of them keeping secrets from eachother, will they be able to resist the attraction that they feel for one another while they find out who is threatening Bryan's brother?

This is another fabulous story by Lori Foster! Ms. Foster does a wonderful job of building the suspense and sexual tension in this book. I was kept guessing as to who the bad guy was until the end. The chemistry between Bryan and Shay was so hot I had to make sure there was a cold drink nearby to cool down with! The cast of secondary characters added to the fun and I got to revisit with a few of the author's past characters as well, which I always enjoy. Go out and buy this book! I highly recommend it if you are looking for a sensual read that warms your heart.

Summary: Outstanding!!!!
Review: Bryan was so cool and hilarious and handsome, and every other thing in the world. He was also a good brother. He was great with Shay, who was also a joy. This book was a lighthearted story with serious overtones and this author did an outstanding job of entertaining her readers.

Summary: Full of Surprises
Review: Everyone is not who they appear to be... The Secret Life of Bryan is a love story between a preacher and a hooker, well he is not exactly a preacher and she is no hooker. Meet Bryan Kelly, a bounty hunter, who is impersonating his brother Bruce, the real preacher. Bryan goes undercover to protect his brother and to catch the person who attacked Bruce. Shay Sommers is not really a hooker, she is actually a wealthy lady who is trying to help prostitutes give up life on the streets when she is mistaken for one herself. Along the way to solving the mystery we witness the intense chemistry between Shay & Bryan and boy, do the sparks fly...

Among the many twists and surprises, The Secret Life of Bryan visits characters we loved and introduces us to some new favorites. From Say No to Joe?, the sexy Joe Winston is back & Jamie Creed makes another mysterious appearance. We first met Shay as the sister in Fantasy and it has been worth the wait for her story. We are also introduced to three lovely "hookers" who are full of sass and surprises. It was a fun sexy story that is going on the keeper shelf along side my other Lori Foster books.

Summary: Great, but must the author use such language ??
Review: I adored this book, except for some of the language. I don't mean when Bryan talked to Shay or others; that was his way and it wasn't offensive at all, it's rather about intimacy. The coarse language kind of takes the romance away.
Also, I liked the way the author made some of the characters, who clearly did wrong, redeemable. It was a refreshing change.

Summary: Step Into The Make-Believe World Of Lori Foster!!!
Review: I have been a long time fan of this very talented author and was just recently on a trip back to the States which meant a very long airplane trip. I was so thrilled when this title was release and I found it at my local bookseller that I grabbed it without a second thought and tucked it into my carry on. My 11 hour trip was not as painful as I thought it would be once I stepped into the world that Ms. Foster has created.

We met Bryan briefly in her story "Say No To Joe" and I was thrilled to find out that this was his story. Bryan is a twin that has decided that it's his job to protect his brother Bruce a preacher and who has just recently been attacked due to the work that he does regarding running a safe-house for ex-ladies of the night. This was a no brainer as far as Bryan was concerned he would step into his brothers shoes, do what he could for the ladies under his brothers care and most importantly find out who wants his brother dead. That is until he made the mistake of trying to "rescue" a damsel in distress by the name of Shay. Now his little world has been turned upside down because he should be acting like a preacher but his thoughts are anything but heavenly. In fact Shay has knocked him right off his feet. This is a big problem for the bounty-hunter that would never trust another woman again.

Shay can't believe her good fortune when Preacher saves her from a bad situation. Shay is a do-gooder but has been labled and branded a princess with too much money on her hands and not enough stength of conviction to really make a difference. Well, she has been given the perfect chance to prove all those that don't believe in her that they are totally wrong. Now she is working on the front line so to speak. She tells Bryan that she's not a hooker but does not want the other women at the safe house to know this. She then goes about the business of drawing everyone under her spell proving that she is serious about helping these women turn their lives around. Her main problem is trying to prove to Bryan that their attraction is not wrong. This is not easy since on top of all that was previously mentioned someone is trying to close down the safe house but who and why?

This was a fast quirky page turning read. Joe, Luna, and Willow and Austin make a return performance as well as Jamie Creed all living in Visitation. The relationship between Bryan and Shay is carefully constructed and as a result although peppered with Ms. Foster trademark sensuality this is not a read that dives right into an intimate relationship between the two main character but instead slowly lead to the admission that their relationship is more then lust. This is really a must read if you are a fan of Ms. Foster. If this is a first time read for you fear not this is a stand alone book and you will not be left scratching your head as to the various relationships that are presented. If anything this will drive you to pick up more of her titles. Always a good thing if you ask me.

Summary: Signed my real name, like a person of principle
Review: I haven't read Lori's latest, though I'm sure it's very fine. But even if I did not like it, I would have signed my name to the review, as opposed to taking the coward's way out.

For shame.

Summary: Fun story if you can get past the crude language
Review: I like Lori Foster's writing. She comes up with interesting characters that I wish I could meet in real life, like Jamie Creed and all those gorgeous brothers. This novel should have "potboiler" stamped on the cover. You will buy it. You will enjoy it. But you will probably not want to keep this one. There are already several used copies for sale. And this book is turning up in droves at Half-Price Books stores where I live. People are buying it, but they are not keeping it.

The crudeness of Bryan's language is true to character, but that doesn't make it any easier to deal with. And with regards to Bryan and Shay's relationship, I can see the passion, but I just don't "feel the love". Overall, it's a bit slapdash. But it's very good slapdash.
