Rating: Summary: Oh what a tangle . . Review: I used to love all the different books written by this author, whether she was writing as Amanda Quick, Jayne Anne Krentz or Jayne Castle. Now they are all so dull - almost over-detailed. This book is no different. While the premis of "para-psychology" could have been interesting the language developed by the author to describe the different types of psychics is confusing and over-used. I found myself skipping huge chunks of this book just to get to the point of the conversation. Don't waste your money -borrow it if you are a die hard fan or wait for it at the local library. I only gave it one star because her heros are usually the strong, silent type - a personal favorite of mine!
Rating: Summary: One of the Best Review: I wish there was a higher rating than 5. Nobody does it better. If you read "After Dark" you probably enjoyed it even more. The sense of a fully fleshed out world is awesome. The sexual tension between Lydia and Emmett is great. I love the way each worries about the feelings of the other. The dance of romance is Jayne at her best. From Lydia's determination to protect Emmett, to his worries about her feelings for ghost-hunters, we are constantly waiting for the explosions to begin. However, Jayne Castle, knows what we want. I just loved the Restoration Ball and The DRESS. Two hearts wanting the same thing but scared to reach out too quickly. The suspense and stirring adventure are not overshadowed by the romance, and the thrilling conclusion is wonderfully enhanced by Fuzz and a number of unusual and fasinating characters. Could not put it down. I have already reread it 4 times. (UNBELIEVABLE for me.) I usually don't like to read a book that continues a relationship, but this one is perfect. This is a keeper. And be sure to get "After Dark" also.

Rating: Summary: More Harmony books...PLEASE!! Review: Jayne Ann has been doing trilogies - cranking out three books for a set of characters, and outside her Eclipse Bay, the first one is so good, second two suck! REALLY. However, it's with her Harmony books Jayne Ann really returns to her top form. They are fresh, funny and show she still have the magic. So STOP WASTING TIME ON JUNK and write were you show the same spark of romance and delight in the genre. PLEASE. These characters were so warm, real, sexy and loving. What you other books are missing.

Rating: Summary: Exciting science fiction romantic suspense Review: On the planet Harmony, seven months ago parapsychologist Lydia Smith's life collapsed when she was lost in the catacombs beneath the city. She blames her lost weekend in which she remembers nothing on the ghost hunters whom she believes deserted her, but they say she made an unauthorized dangerous move without their protection. Now instead of a rising career, she works at Shrimpton's House of Ancient Horrors and ironically loves her roommate Emmett London, a ghost hunter. Emmett wants to marry Lydia in a convent marriage, but does not tell her how much he loves her because he fears her bias towards ghost hunters will thwart his dreams. When his biological father, Mercer Wyatt, head of the local ghost hunter guild, is almost killed and is hospitalized, Emmett takes over the leadership. He is unaware the danger he places himself and his beloved in and that her lost weekend and a colleague's final warning in death are tied to a threat that wants him out of the way. Science fiction romantic suspense fans will fully appreciate Jayne Castle's latest HARMONY tale that lives up to its title by leaving the audience with a contented AFTER GLOW. The story line is loaded with action as the lead duet struggles with understanding the forewarning message hidden in a milk container while unraveling a conspiracy involving local guild. The romance between Lydia and Emmett adds depth as readers obtain more insight into the social customs of a wonderfully magical place. Harriet Klausner

Rating: Summary: Jayne, Write More Harnony Books, Please Review: This was another fun and involved look into the world of Harmony. Lydia Smith stumbles on another murder early in the book and Emmett London finds her soon after, at the murder site once again. It reads more like a chap book than a stand alone novel, so if you haven't read again 'After Dark'. I'd recommend reading it first.
Rating: Summary: Science Fiction and Romance - Jayne Ann Krentz at her best! Review: While I do love some of JAK's other books such as "Smoke and Mirrors" that are mysteries and suspense, I get the most fun out of the Harmony and lost colony books. Anyone remember "Shield's Lady"? I also loved the Amaryllis, Zinnia, Orchid books. One thing about this book is that you REALLY need to have read "After Dark" first so you know more about this world and what "ghost hunters" and "trap tanglers" are.
I hope that JAK continues to write as Jayne Castle and doesn't make us devoted Castle fans wait so long for a new lost colony romance!
A very fun read!!
