Rating: Summary: Redeeming Love Review: One of the best books Francine Rivers has written. What faith in the life of Michael Hosea. What a love story. It was hard getting through the trials of Sarah as a child; after that the rest of the book is beautiful. I will wait a couple of years and read it again.
Rating: Summary: A TRUE BLESSING FROM GOD Review: God had placed in my heart to start a Christian Book Club. Someone told me about this book and God said this is the one for the Club. After reading this book it was truly a blessing from God. It was on the line of Hosea & Gomer in the bible. We had our first meeting and God truly showed up and showed out. The amazing thing was the next day when I went to church the pastor said today topic is about Hosea & Gomer. True confirmation from God. I would truly recommend this book to anyone to read. It's a love story, it will make you anry and even cry but most of all you can truly see God's hand in these people lives. Every THUMBS UP!
Rating: Summary: Best Book I have ever read Review: I can honestly say this is my favorite book. I am an avid reader and none yet have topped this one. Over and over again, I go back and read certain sections.. some make me smile.. and many make me cry... but none leave me without feeling anything. If you read it, you will not be disapointed.
Rating: Summary: Francine Rivers at her best! Review: I am an avid fan of Francine Rivers; have been for a long time. I had read the Mark of the Lion series, as well as Atonement Child and Sin Eater prior to reading this- Redeeming Love. I saved it till last, I believe, because it was her first, and I wanted to read her later works to be able to compare the first book to.I was proven wrong. This book is a masterful expression of the Christian mind- and of the mind polluted by sins kept as baggage...by the mind that believes that no one loves them...by the mind that is resistent to any love and affection in their lives! What a powerful book, and powerful stories. You will love Angel- a hurt, lost former prostitute- and her husband, Michael, a devout Christian farmer willing to go to hell and back (pardon the pun) for his wife. Read this book- you won't be disappointed. WARNING: YOUR LIFE MAY BE CHANGED.
Rating: Summary: A Spellbinding Love Story Review: Can you imagine loving someone so much you would do anything for them? Can you imagine knowing that they don't love you back? You put out all your strength to gain their trust and love and not get anything in return. Living live with our significant other is what God intended for us to do. But what if the person God has chosen for you, won't even open her hart to let you have a glimpse? Would you keep trying or would you give up and live the rest of your life miserable and alone? This was the decisions forced upon Michael Hosea. Michael Hosea is a farmer who works his fields by day and reads the bible by night. Angel, who was sold into prostitution at the age of 8, is struggling with her troubled past. She doesn't open her heart for anyone, especially men who promise her the world. When God tells Michael to marry Angel, he hesitated, but did as he was told. She convinces herself that he is just going to hurt her like all the others and does everything in her power not to get close to him. She is so stubborn it frustrates him, but God tells him to keep trying. This book files you with so many different emotions at once. Happiness, joy, anger, pity, sadness and sorrow, are just a few. At many point of the book you want to break down and cry, or scream out to the characters. Francine Rivers does a wonderful job of bring the story to life. With the setting in California's gold country, in the 1850's, it's a timeless love story that will take your breath away. Her words trigger your imagination, making this novel spellbinding.

Rating: Summary: A Great novel Review: I loved this book! This novel started me on the Francine Rivers craze. A very inspiring novel.
Rating: Summary: What an incredible book! Review: I hardly know where to begin in describing this wonderful story told by a master storyteller, Francine Rivers. It is simply one of the best novels I have ever read. I highly recommend it to anyone, but especially to those who have had difficult lives and struggle to accept themselves for who they really are: loveable and beautiful in the sight of God. I was moved to tears by the story of Angel, and the wonderful man of God named Michael Hosea, who perseveres to show her the unconditional love of God. Coming from a difficult past myself, I saw my own broken, needy heart in the person of Angel. "Redeeming Love" is one of those books that doesn't just move you--it changes you. God really used it in my own life, and I know He can use it in so many others' as well! I strongly recommend it!
