Summary: What a great picture of how much God loves us.
Review: This book was such a heart-wrencher. Francine elegantly depicted the true love that our Father above has for us in the story of Michael and Angel. Angel just kept running away not believing that she was worthy of love, only deserving the "love" that the world showed her, which was empty and fake. Michael was a man of God. He was obeident to the Lord's direction and commited to this woman that God led him to, even though she was by the world's standards a lost cause, used garbage, a stained and soiled woman. Michael stayed and found her when she ran, and loved her by putting her needs above his own. Sacrificing his reputation, image, pride. All for the sake of her. Actually, the one he showed the most love for through this story is God. He remained faithful to God even when everything pointed him to run and forsake her, he listened when God told him to find her, to keep her, to love her unconditionally.

Review: The story of Michael and Angel is one you can't put down. This is a display of REAL LOVE. The kind of love that GOD has for us. It was so beautifully written and I couldn't put it down. I even got up at 4:00am just so I could continue reading. It will capture you heart and when you are done reading it you are a changed person. My hats off to Francine for her fine work! I can't stress enough, READ THE BOOK!!

Review: I just loved this book!! I read it on a vacation and I couldn't put it down. Francine Rivers showed us that God forgives. She also showed us God's never ending love. I would also recommend The Scarlet Thread by Francine Rivers. It is also a wonderful book!

Review: Micheal is a character who shows us an example of the unending patience of God's love for us. Angel is a character who shows us how much sin and shame can seperate us from the very thing we want...unconditional love. The story of how these two get together is a reflection of the way we come to know God. Francine Rivers ties it all together with a craft well honed. I can hardly wait for her to write more romance novels with Christian values reflected through out.

Review: The author has such a compelling way of drawing her readers into the setting. She makes you feel the joy and the pain of the characters. This story retells the Biblical story of Hosea in a setting and time that makes it believable. I cried and I laughed. I enjoyed it so much I bought 2 extra copies. God Bless you, Francine Rivers!!!

Review: The characters were very real to me. And even if it was the past or the present and the future. Everyone judges them, even when we know its wrong, still we judge, and relize that we are not perfect, for it is written, Matthew.7: "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."Amen. Like when Paul didn't believe that Angel had changed, and would always jump to conclusions. Michael indeed was wonderful towards Angel. He should be an example toward other men to follow. He loves his wife, Angel, and never gives up on her. He waited for her, and his love grew even more when she returned. It is very true that God will always be with us, even when it is the lowest and darkest time of our lives. He is always with us. What Francince did, made me want to write almost like her. God has truly blessed her to serve him this way! He is always with us, now and forever more. Amen. Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all teh days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. And his word is always true let us not forget it. His book is my food and drink, it shows wisdom, for me to follow, and his love for me and anothers. Praise his name for he is our redeemer, praise his name. I really liked the book.
