Summary: Corinthians in action
Review: If asked to find the book of Hosea in the Bible, most people would look kind of blank, and after reading it the only thing many would say was her name was GOMER? Francine Rivers brings the story forward a few thousand years to tell the story of Sarah, [an illegitimate child] of a whore in the Gold Rush era. Sold into the same slavery as her mother, Sarah quickly loses her identity and innocence, becoming the fallen Angel who is sold to the highest bidder night by night. Her rescue comes from a young man who sees the lost child within the pagan goddess, Michael Hosea. Like the ancient prophet, he claims her for his bride, renaming her several times, Mara (bitter), Tirzah (Desire), and finally Amanda, worthy of love. Angel can not believe herself worthy of love, and fights him every step of the way. Her past continues to drag her away from him, and she seeks to escape often. Yet, every time, he brings her home, fighting equally hard for her love. Even when Amanda begins to love, she believes herself so fallen and unworthy that leaving would be best, but now not for her, but for him. Yet, like God, Michael does not agree, and still fights for her. I strongly reccommend this as a witnessing tool. People who won't talk about God might still be compelled by this story and then you can hit them with the allegory.

Summary: Emotional Torment
Review: The book Redeeming Love was extremely hard for me to read. Don't get me wrong I loved the book, but while I was reading it I was angry. After awhile I was hoping that Michael would get angry with her and send her away. How could someone hurt a person again and again that really loved and cared for them? This book help revealed to me my sin and my limited vision. We are all human and make mistakes. In God's eyes, no sin is greater than another. God is in pain for us every time we sin. It showed me the depth of God's forgiveness, mercy, and love. After I finished reading this book, I realized my sin and begged God's forgiveness. Needless to say, this book brought me to my knees!! Thank you Francine Rivers for helping me!!!

Review: This book takes the story of Hosea and transforms it into something we can easily relate to. I read this book while studying the book of Hosea in the bible and got so much more out of it. I would strongly recommend this book and would also recommend reading Hosea either before or while reading it. It's one of the more memorable books I've read.

Summary: honest on my life, this is THE best book
Review: Seriously. I had never read one Francine Rivers book in my life before Redeeming Love. I had never even heard of the author! Now, I am here, on Amazon, searching for and buying up every single Francine Rivers book I can lay my hands on. Redeeming Love was simply incredible. I started it Saturday morning, finished it Saturday night. In the course of one week, following that Saturday, I have completely finished her Mark of the Lion trilogy, and now am more convinced of her extreme talent for literature. I HIGHLY recommmend this book. It makes you feel every emotion to your very core. Humor, Sorrow, Pain, Sympathy, and Sheer Joy just flow from the words on the page! Just Wow. I mean, WOW. :) Two words: "buy it"

Summary: Redeeming Love-Amazing Story
Review: Redeeming Love is definitely on my top five list of awesome books. It was written extremely well and I love the viewpoint it is told from. When my friend told me I should read this book, I was expecting a sappy, love story like any other. It is completely different from any other love story I have ever read! This love story contains morals and faith. This book tells it like it is. There are no hidden messages, it is just blatently set out for the whole world to read about. It shows how important God is when dealing with anything, and especially love. I absolutely recommend this book to any young woman in for a good read.

Summary: The best book I've ever read.
Review: If I had enough money I would buy a copy of this book for everyone I know. I could not put it down. My house was a mess and I would wake up in the middle of the night and get up to read. This is a life changing book. Everyone needs to read it.

Summary: Flawless Beauty
Review: This may be the most wonderful novel I've ever read!
Here are the reasons not to read it:
1. Trying to save $ on Kleenex--you'll need at least a box.
2. Relate too much to the material but don't believe you can be and/or are not worthy of being forgiven.
3. Don't like well-written, gripping tales that pierce the soul.
4. Believe that there is no place for descriptions of erotic love--even marital--in an otherwise Christian story. (Then you'd REALLY hate "Song of Solomon" :-> )

I wish I could give Redeeming Love 6 stars but format prohibits this.

I need redeeming love and you need redeeming love; we all need it! You should get Redeeming Love.

Summary: WOW!!!!! THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!!!!
Review: The absolute BEST book I have ever laid my hands on. I had to read it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. Unlike most christian fictions, its portrays life the way it usually is, not the way most people want it to be. The characters are also very realistic. You absolutely HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!!!!

Summary: A humbling reminder of who is in control ...
Review: This book contains a powerful message of God's control over our lives. The character development is the highlight. Rivers gets us in the characters' minds and provides vivid details of internal struggles. This book moved me to re-evaluate my priorities in life. In today's society, it's go, go, go -- no time for anything to slow you down. This book is a testament to patience and trusting in God. This was the first book I read of Francine Rivers, and from the ones I've read since, I started with the best. Her other books are good, but this is a masterpiece.
