Summary: Absolutely Wonderful!
Review: I have read a lot of books and I have a lot of favorites (some, I thought to be "the best book I've ever read"), so when my friend gave me this book on tape to listen to, I didn't really want to. I had my favorite authors and had never heard of Francine Rivers. Why listen to it? WOW! Has Ms. Rivers changed my mind. I must say this is absolutely, unequivocally, the best book I have ever read (well listened to!)It's a thought-provoking feel-good story! I love it! You will not be disappointed. Half-way through listening to it I got on-line and bought it! I can't wait until it gets here to hold it in my hands and savor every word!!

Summary: The best book I have ever read!
Review: Ok, I know you read the reviews, and it's always " oh this is a great book," or " you just have to read it," " its the best book in the whole wide world" and you think, "yep, heard that line said before..." well, I don't want you to think that I'm just writing this review and coming up with those lines. BUT I'm serious, this is the best book I have ever read. I have a read a ton of books in my day, and Francine Rivers is by far the best author I have come across. I also recommend the Mark of the Lion series by her. Those were excellent also. Francine Rivers has wonderfuly portrayed the book of Hosea through this story. It shows God's unconditional love for us, no matter what we've done in the past. He loves for who we are. Its wonderful, isn't it? I highly recommend these books and I hope all of you who read them enjoy them as much as I did.

Summary: amazing and beautiful
Review: never before have i read retelling of any story where the author was able to capture the beauty of the original in quite the way that Rivers has with Redeeming Love. it is simply an amazing book and one that as a reader i could not pull myself away from. i actually spent one entire day reading it--i think i forgot to even eat that day because i was so entranced!

Summary: An excellent demonstation of God's love through Michael.
Review: I've never read a more touching novel. Once I started, I couldn't put it down. The characters moved me to tears many times throughout the book. Seldom do I find a book good enough for me to read twice, but this one, even the second time around I couln't put it down. I even bought a copy for my friend, and hope that the love of Christ would touch her as it had touched me. I used to read secular romance novels. Ever since I quit them, I hadn't read a romance novel eventhough romance are my favorite. I especially appreciate this one because its not about a perfect woman, but for once it's about a perfect man. I'd love to read more novels characterizing the man as a saint. Overall, it is my favorite novel and a most treasured one.

Summary: A Beautiful Story of Grace
Review: Wow. My Mom had been after me to read this book for the last two years. I didn't want to read it because I cannot stand hokey romance novels. Well, I'm SO GLAD that I decided to pick it up one night, because it literally changed my life. I would recommend this book to absolutely ANYONE, female or male. Especially to women who have a "past" like I do, and who feel that they don't deserve unconditional love because of their mistakes. It also teaches you to love everyone, no matter how much of a "jerk" they seem to be, because you realize that everyone wants the same thing...love. Some of us just have too many walls built up around us from being so hurt by others in our past, and therefore we find it hard to allow anyone to get close enough to love us completely. It also made me find new joy in my femininity. It made me realize, even further, that being a woman does not involve trying to be the "same" as a man, in terms of worldly power, and that as a woman, having a strong, caring, loving man in your life to take care of you and your family is one of the biggest blessings you can receive on this earth. This book is the single best book (besides my worn and precious Bible) I have ever read. (And I've read a LOT of books.) I couldn't put it down. READ IT, and allow God to bless your life through it.

Summary: Wonderful Story!
Review: This book was amazing. A friend of mine read it and leant it to me. She read it in 3 days and I read it in 5 and neither of us are big readers. Francine Rivers paints such a beautiful picture with words. I felt as though the characters were real people, and I knew and understood their thoughts and actions. What a wonderful way to portray God's love for us through this updated version of Hosea and Gomer. You will not be disappointed by this amazing book!

Summary: A powerful allegory
Review: Redeeming Love was recommended to me by a lover of Romance Novels..... a genre I NEVER read. However, I thought I'd give it a chance. I'm so glad I did. Ms Rivers makes the book of Hosea come alive in terms we cannot miss. God's love, as shown through the character of Michael, is so beyond our comprehension, that it's only through allegory that we can understand it. This book has touched my heart and my soul. Quite a few of my friends had recommended The Scarlet Thread, but I hadn't read it. Now I'll have to read that one too! Thank you Francine Rivers.

Summary: One of the best I've ever read!
Review: Redeeming Love inspires me to attempt to love my husband as Michael Hosea loved Sarah. A beautiful example of what God intended for the love between a husband and wife to be. This story is thought provoking, inspiring and kept me wanting to read on for hours. Rarely have a read a book and gone looking for another by the same author. I'm almost to the end of my second Francine Rivers novel and will by buying another before leaving this web site. I just can't seem to put the book down. Amazon has beat the lowest prices I've seen by almost 25%. I paid $7.00 more for one of Ms. River's books than Amazon's pricing. This is my first trip to Amazon.com and I'll be back regularly!

Summary: Couldn't put it down!
Review: I think this is one of the best books I have ever read! It moved me in ways I did not expect. This book helped me be a better wife to my husband and to look at him through God's eyes. Just like Michael looked at Sarah in this book. He loved her like Christ loves the Church. Through Francine River's writing, one can learn the attributes of God as protrayed through the character Michael. Michael is the Bible's parallel to Hosea. It's a wonderful read and I highly recommend it!

Summary: Great read, even for the non-religious
Review: A friend recommended this book to me, and I started it with reluctance, being a non-religious person. I really loved it and plan on getting my own copy. It is a wonderful and moving love story, and is not preachy at all. Francine Rivers brings the story to life with her descriptive and heart felt writing. The people are not made out to be saints, just real people with real life struggles trying to make it in the world. It really is a great book...not what I expected from Christian fiction, so I was really pleasantly surprised.
