Summary: The best books you'll read in years!
Review: Francine Slater's Mark of the Lion series is inspiring, encouraging and compelling. Don't start these books if you don't have much time - you won't be able to put them down. They'll make you laugh, they'll make you cry and you'll be on the edge of your seat. The faith of Hadassah, Rizpah and Theophilus in times of great persecution makes you realise how lucky we are today. These are great stories with a great message - I'd recommend them to anyone!

Summary: A Great Series
Review: One of the best series I have ever read! The story stays with you long after you have finished reading it.

Summary: Faith Affirming
Review: This series is perhaps the most faith affirming series I have ever experienced. I read these books about 2 years ago, and I still think about the characters. Hadassah being my favorite and whom I strive to be like. Francine Rivers is by far my favorite author because you do not simply read her books you are involved with lives and interactions of her characters. A must read!

Summary: Strength through the eyes of a woman...
Review: What a series. The main character and her tribulations are just breathtaking. She believes in God and Christ and never lets go. This was the first series from Francine Rivers I've read and it's truly a work of art. She shows Hadassah as a strong woman that is not beaten down by the pressures of the Roman Empire. I could not step away from all three books once I got started. By the end of the first book I knew I had to go on because I was crying so hard. I knew when I got so envouled in the story line that it felt so close to home. AMAZING series. You don't have to be a "believer" to enjoy this series just someone that needs a book to read. I have never liked reading but I'll take a F. Rivers book any day and this has to be the best of hers!

Summary: Mark of the Lion
Review: These books are compelling and they totally engulf you. I could not step away from them. I never like to read but when a friend recommended them to me in 9th grade I've been searching for them forever. I found them on Amazon and it's amazing. The main character is a true heroian and is faced with internel and external battles. She makes mistakes and learns from them. Always fearing her God. She has strenth that everyone wants and strives for. AMAZING books.

Summary: 'Mark of the Lion' Wins the Gold!
Review: If they were awarding Olympic Medals for Excellent Historical Fiction, Francine Rivers would definitely win the Gold for the "Mark of the Lion" series! Wonderfully believable characters are intertwined with colorful descriptive narrative and a story that could be related to our own turbulent times. The joy and pain of Haddassah and her friends brings the trials of the Christians of the era to a new, important light. Hopefully, we will truly understand the magnitude of a faith that was undeterred, even in the Lion's Den! Kudos to Francine Rivers for bringing us this riveting tale!

Summary: 'Mark of the Lion' right on the Mark!
Review: I love this series! A friend advised me to read it after I had begun the "Left Behind" series ... said I would really appreciate it ... and she was right! The characters were wonderfully believable and you could feel both their joys and pain! Having been to Ephesus, I re-walked the streets with them, reconstructing the ancient city in my mind. The story was compelling, and i anxiously awaited the next book in the series. Francine Rivers is a wonderful writer, and since reading "Mark of the Lion', I have read all of her books. Kudos to her for giving a marvelous portrait of life in Ancient Rome and Ephesus.

Summary: Best Books I've Ever Read (Excluding the Bible)
Review: I couldn't put it down. I bought this set for my wife for her birthday. First she read it, then I read it, then I loaned it to my mother. I know she loaned it out to at least 5 other people, and we haven't seen the books since. I had to buy my wife a new set.

Summary: Wonderful writing!!
Review: I can not say enough about the series! Francine is such a gifted author! This series has something for everyone, however, I do not recomend this for young teens because of the content level. It would make a great readwith project for parents and teens. Guys as well as gals will be enthralled! My husband had no desire to read Christian books before this series, and he has now read all her work, and has searched out many more Christian titles. He just finished a 26 volume series by Gilbert Morris!

I truly believe God is using her "for such a time as this".
