Review: I am a teenager and rarely read thick novels for enjoyment and pleasure. But from the moment I picked up a Voice in the wind I couldn't set it down ! I read the 520 day book in less than a week. I read all of the books so rapdidlly that I hardly took time to eat.Francine Rivers exquisitley writes of a young slave girl who desperately trys to witness to the family she sreves,a young aristocratic Roman, a Spoiled debutant, And a Captured Gladiator who strugles to save his life.I love to reread these books over and over and I have never read a book so accurate, caputuring and exciting! And next to that it shares the amazing gospel of Jesus Christ.

Summary: The best author I have ever read!
Review: Francine Rivers is extraordinary! I have never read any other books that have even come close to matching her talent. The first Francine Rivers books I read were The Mark of the Lion series. I have since read them three times. I get so caught up in the books that sometimes I forget where I am. Her characters are so real and alive. You will fall in love with all of them. I couldn't recommend a better set of books to read. All of her novels are superb. Check them ALL out!

Summary: Best Trilogy I have read in years!
Review: The Mark of the Lion books are the best Christian books I have ever read. Ms. Rivers makes you care about the characters as if they were real. She weaves a story rich in detail of the time and culture of the Roman Empire. I could not put these books down. I just kept reading until I finished them all. Your have got to read these books. To be honest, I have not found a book by Francine Rivers that I did not thoroughly enjoy. The Mark of the Lion books are my all time favorite books!

Review: Generally, I love books anyways, but I have rarely been as captivated as I was with The Mark of the Lion Trilogy. Each book has now been passed around my family, and each member loves them, which is quite a feat! Two thumbs up for Ms. Rivers and her "can't put them down" books.

Review: I have always loved to read any books about the early Christians, during the period of Roman rule. Francine Rivers has never failed to entertain with her gripping, emotional writing that reach out to people where few others can. This series is so well-written, full of the passion and fire of the early Christians that is truly amazing.

Summary: Delightful, Inspiring, Heart-wrenching, Life changing
Review: Easily, the best series of books I have read in a very long time. The characters are wonderful, rich and believable. After the first chapter, which is very slow and hard to get through, the book picks up its pace and carries you along through an inspired storyline that refuses to be put aside and when I was finished I wished for more about the lives of the characters that I grew to care so much for. These books changed my perspective on life and touched my heart in way no other form of reading ever has! My wife started reading them first and was dying to talk to me as I was a book behind her. You cannot help but want to discuss what is going on as the characters develop. My wife and I have even decided to name our first daughter after the main character, Hadassah. The books are that good! Read these books, you don't want to miss out.

Review: Once you get into the very first book, you will not be able to put it down. Everything else will get ignored. This series shows God's amazing love when things are going just as awful as they can get. You involve yourself with the characters and are stunned at the end by God's love and forgiveness. The characters surprise you by their love, their violence and their heartfelt repentance.This trilogy is a must for everyone. A must!

Summary: Romance, history and christians will all love this series
Review: Francine Rivers Mark of the Lion Series is tremendous Christian fiction. Her writing gives the reader a mental picture of life in Rome after Christ's death. She adds so many details from the lifestyles of the various people living during that time including the Jews, Romans, pagan, first Christians, Barbarian and Gladiators. The love stories are simaltaneously blended with the back drop of persecution and betrayal. So much of Pagan Rome is parallelled in our current culture. Happy Reading
