Rating: Summary: The story was very HOT!!! Review: I trully enjoyed this audio book. It was emotional, erotic, and I couldn't put it down. Very romantic and very hot.
Rating: Summary: It was nice but not the best Review: I was disappointed to learn this was remake of a book already written. But despite that I have to say I like it but wasn't in love this one. I hope next one will be better
Rating: Summary: trite and uninspiring Review: I was truly disappointed with this book. I couldn't even finish it. I couldn't find much likable or interesting about her main characters; in fact, I was embarrassed for Hailey Ashton: What modern career woman would be overcome with passion for a man whose "techniques" border on rape and sexual harrassment! I kept skimming through to find some "meat" to the plot. Couldn't do it so didn't finish it.
Rating: Summary: Really enjoyed this book Review: Like many of Sandra Brown's romance novels, this was a fairly quick read - one evening for me. Hailey Ashton is a mid-30's career woman with a job in an Tennessee Amusement Park dealing with customer relations. Not a success in the dating department, she compares herself to her prettier, yet troubled sister whom she always bails out of trouble. One particular day in the park, an incident brings Hailey unknowingly in direct dealings with the park owner, Tyler Scott. After meeting, he finds her quite attractive and sets out to seduce her, and tells her flat out of his intentions. What follows is an intense seduction that leaves Hailey confused and in love -- with Tyler Scott, and his young daughter. Another great story by Sandra Brown!
Rating: Summary: What a Major Rip Off Review: OK. Sandra Brown has decided to recycle romances she wrote 20 years ago. They repackage the product in a hip, new hardcover title and sell it as "new"... Only they decide to come up front and admit in the front of the book that it's a reprint from 20 years ago. Not a problem. UNTIL YOU READ THE BOOK. I'm sorry. I am a librarian and I understand the value of "new editions" that come out every year, updating "old" editions. But rich, lazy Sandra Brown didn't even BOTHER to read the "old" book and update it. Example....Little 11 year old Faith wears her hair in pigtails but would like to look like Stevie Nicks. She plays "electronic games" or "computerized games" in restaurants and begs to spend the night at a friend's house because her TV has an "Atari" and she also has some cool "albums". PULLLEZE. There's more (descriptions of the "hip" outfits) but I won't go into it. People waste incredible amounts of money on hardcover books. Fortunately for me, I just checked it out at my library. But my director wasted HIS money because the book was not a "new edition" in the least. I so don't look forward to reading the other two "updated books" I have on my desk. Don't even think of buying this book.
Rating: Summary: Seduction By Design: Not quite a classic love story.... Review: Seduction By Design is about a insecure woman who finds love through the owner of the amusement park where she works. I have read most of Sandra Brown's books and this book is not one of my favorites or the best that I have read. Her more current books are more suspenseful with a romance in the plot. Her older novels, such as Seduction By Design have strictly a romance plot. This book is a quick read and entertaining, but is not quite as good as her more current novels. The characters are not well developed as compared to her current novels and as soon as the book begins, it ends.
Rating: Summary: A Love Story for Today Review: SEDUCTION BY DESIGN AUTHOR: Sandra Brown PUBLISHER: Simon & Schuster REVIEWED BY: Barbara Rhoades BOOK REVIEW: Seduction by Design is one more to add to the list of wonderful books written by Sandra Brown. This is, of course, a love story. The "leading lady" is settled in her singular life as a PR executive. Her boss is a "shadow figure" until the day he brings his daughter to the Amusement Park that he owns and where the leading lady works. The two begin a relationship that is very rocky and gets even rockier when the PR executive's sister shows up. Between the sister and the daughter and their own two very strong personalities, a tale is told of what love is all about and the challenges it faces to become a permanent part of our lives. Make sure you find time to read this book. It tells a very realistic and touching story.

Rating: Summary: Sandra must have needed a new Mercedez Review: The front page says "Praise for Seduction by Design", but the blurbs which follow are all generic, praising Sandra Brown's writing. None mention the title of the book or anything about the plot. That should give you a clue. Shame on her -- she should not have to cheat the fans who made her rich. This is simply awful; immature plot and characters. I got to chapter three and tossed it -- thankfully it was cheap used book.
Rating: Summary: Seduction by Design....give me a break! Review: This a is typical SB novel. I'm still wondering who came up with the title for this novel. I've read several novels by this author, and after reading the last one, I sort of felt badly about how I'd thought her talent lacked a lot. I figured I'd just picked up the wrong novels and was off to a bad start. My first mistake here was buying another reprint. My second mistake was reading this novel from the start to the finish. After I closed the book and thought about the story, I started laughing. I'm still laughing. I can't believe I stayed with it and read the whole book in one sitting. I thought several times that sooner or later the plot will improve and the story will get better. Nope, it just didn't happen. It makes me wonder sometimes how an author can write a book like this one and expect the public to swallow it. Better yet, for a publisher to stick an author's name on a reprint and sell it. Then I'm thinking, it's a reprint from 1983 and maybe this type of novel was considered good. However, this is 2001 and no one would expect a business tycoon like Tyler Scott to behave with an employee in such a manner. To tell an employee he planned to seduce her the next day after their first meeting would lay a man wide open for legal action under the sexual harassment act. There was no leading up to a love affair. It just started out with Tyler telling her his intentions and from there it was....well...it was YUCK. I share books that I purchase with a reading buddy and I plan to give her the option about reading this book. I wouldn't recommend it to her because I wouldn't want her to get the idea I enjoyed any part of it. If she didn't already know I had it, I wouldn't tell her about it at all. With that, I think I've made my point.
