Review: I just finished reading the novel "Snow Falcon" and I am in awe. Stuart Harrison is an artist with words. I didn't want the novel to end--it was an amazing story--it evoked all kinds of emotions and left me feeling blessed at the end. I can hardly wait for him to write more.

Review: I LOVED THIS BOOK. I LOVED THE DESCRIPTION OF THE FALCON AND ITS RELATION TO MAN. I ALSO LOVED THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MICHAEL SOMERS AND JAMIE AND FINALLY MICHAEL AND JAMIE'S MOTHER. HARRISON WRITES BEAUTIFULLY. MY ONLY REGRET WAS THAT THIS BOOK WASN'T PROMOTED AS MUCH AS I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE SEEN IT PROMOTED FOR IT WERE, IT WOULD DEFINITELY HAVE MADE THE BEST SELLER'S LIST.

Summary: Excellent Novel
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed The Snow Falcon. The novel explores the nature of healing - from loss, from a dark past - and the extent to which animals can participate in that process. If you're an animal lover, this book is a must-read. Even if you're not, I highly recommend it. It would be a good book-club selection -- plenty going on here and I do think the characters and plot lend themselves to discussion very nicely.

Review: I'm in such awe of this amazing new talent and am in complete agreement with all of the comments made herein as well as those from other reviewers! The only complaint about this book that I have is that there hasn't been MAJOR promotion for it as it certainly deserves. First of all, this gyr falcon, as well as each character in this book, are soooooo REAL that you can actually FEEL their emotions and thoughts in every word of this phenomenal masterpiece. I can only hope that Mr. Harrison has another book on the way to us asap and that he has since changed agents so that he can get better publicity for his next book! Thank you, Mr. Harrison, for such a creative, beautiful story and one that will last in my mind for many years to come! While I was reading this book, everytime I had to put it down, I thought to myself....I just LOVE this book soooooo much! It's just such an amazing reading experience! I truly didn't want this one ever to end! It's simply breathtaking!

Review: I, too, could not believe that this was Mr. Harrison's first novel. It is a beautifully written story filled with realistic, well-developed characters. I'm happy to say that it lacks the sappiness of The Horse Whisperer and other well-advertised novels. Looking forward to more from Mr. Harrison...

Summary: Haven't read the book but I have a comment.
Review: Last week-end my wife and I saw a gyrfalcon "contour hopping" (e.g. hunting) near our lake 90 miles north of Anchorage, Alaska. This title was the only reference to gyrfalcons I found through Yahoo.com. What a bird! The wingspan is estimated at 48" and those wings appear to move slowly as the bird wheels, turns and lifts at great speed. I would like to learn more about these remarkable creatures. Our bird book says they command enormous fees when captured for Middle East royalty. It's nice to see them free and in the wilds.

Summary: Exciting read from a brilliant new author
Review: Reminiscent in style and content to Nicholas Evans' best-seller, "The Loop", Stuart Harrison's "Snow Falcon" is a sure winner. It has all the ingredients for an engrossing read: love, lust, longing, wounded lives, and a magnificent wild, but wounded, bird,vividly set in spectacular Canadian scenery, and portraying the narrowness of life in a small town. Through many trials and tribulations, both the main characters and the wounded gyr falcon come to find healing and freedom to "fly" again. A delightfully "visual" novel: it would make a great movie!

Summary: Easy Read but had to admit couldnt put it down
Review: Snow Falcon is a book that you can read at speed, not taxing that is for sure,,..but you still had that urge to keep reading. I enjoyed it a light read with some romance recommend it for air travel or just when wanting to pamper yourself.
