Summary: Disappointed :(
Review: I was really disappointed with "River's End". I realized who the murderer was by the end of chapter 1. There really wasn't any mystery at all. I wanted to be surprised and I wasn't. It seems that this is the pattern with some of her pervious works. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because of the wonderful writing of Ms. Roberts. Noah and Olivia were absolutly beautiful. They were a joy to read about.

Summary: Pretty Good....I've read better......
Review: I thought this book was all in all pretty good. I have read about three of Nora's books before this and really liked them. For some reason this book lacked something the others had. I still can't quite figure it out. Anyway, this book was made of four parts. I found the first one hard to get through. Explaining the murder was fine I guess but she didn't have to do it in 110 pages. That's the reason I bumped a 2 stars off. The rest of the book was good. The suspense and romance kept me on the edge. It's weird to think that romance would keep you on the edge of your seat but in this book it did. You couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I think I would have given it more stars if she would have cut out all the unnesessary detail in part 1. This book is good for people who like romance and suspense.

Summary: Fizzled out in the end
Review: I won't rehash the plot of the book since you can read that above. I gave this book three stars only because of the way Ms. Roberts made the characters leap off the page. Up until the last chapter, the book was a real page-turner...then it did a resounding belly-flop. It was a real disappointment. I don't recommend this book at all.

Summary: Deja Vu?
Review: I liked this book the first time I read it...when it was called "Public Secrets". Does Ms. Roberts think we've forgotten Emma, who (like Olivia) was the daughter of a celebrity? Emma, who, like Olivia, had a family member murdered and then coincidentally also eventually hooked up with the son of the police officer who investigated the case and discovered a surprising villain? Romance readers are often mocked because we read stories that (to everyone else) "are all the same". Books like this don't help our reputation any.

Summary: Obvious Ending
Review: This novel started out as complex and intruiging, but ended flat and abruptly. Shortly after the murder had ocurred, I had figured the killer's identity. I then thought that maybe Roberts would supply more motive than I had invented, but no such luck.

Summary: river's end
Review: The book was excellent to read.I found this a depressing subject matter. I loved Noah and his mother. The story was sad because of the lost of time between father and daughter

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Loved it! Wanted More.
Review: I loved this book. I read it in one day, found myself wishing I had a Noah of my own. The plot was very intriguing, kept me guessing and I never suspected the actual killer.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Absorbing!
Review: This is my first Nora Roberts book. I was quite amazed at how quickly I was pulled in since I read mostly nonfiction. I had faces for the characters in a flash and they stayed true. You turn around and there's a Nora Roberts fan - and, they each have a half dozen recommendations for other books. I'm looking forward to my next Roberts book!
