Summary: A Very Captivating Whodunnit
Review: The story begins with a description of a horrible murder which changes a child's life from happiness to loneliness. I like the conversation between Olivia, the child, and the people who console her broken heart after the incident. When she grows up, she faces an inevitable fact that broke her peaceful childhood. Her father,Sam Terner who was in the jail because of his murder of his wife, gets out of the prison finishing his 20-years compensatation. While Noah, a non-fiction writer who wants to write a book on the murder happened 20 years ago, tries to talk to both of Olivia and Sam.
This is a heartwarming and thrilling whodunnit. I could not put it down while reading the climax. By the way my favorite character is Noah, He seems a perfect hero to me. He has a kind heart and is very progressive and brave and strong. Olivia, who falls in love with him, is a tough woman, however. I like her as well as Noah. In addition, the auther's description of beautiful nature is attractive to me. After finishing this book, I kept thinking about it for a few days. It was really good for me to read this novel though I do not know if other people also would like to read this.

Summary: BORING!!!
Review: ... what a waste of money and I had to suffer the embarassment of standing at the romance section at the book stores. Why did the author make the killer obvious? The characters were plain boring especially Olivia. Too long and too much words that don't even fit the theme of the book.

Summary: Too Predictable! Slow Read!
Review: The story is about a girl at age four finding her Mother in a bloody mess on the floor with her Father standing over her holding a pair of bloody scissors. As the girl's life proceeds she is haunted by the dream like memories of a four year old and driven by the hatred for her Father. She falls in love with the son of the cop that arrested her Father. The Son, Noah, grows up to be a true crime writer and wants to write a book about the murder. The girl and the son have,on again, off again meetings that taunt you about an impending relationship. The discriptions of the rain forest in Washington become very tedious but are more enjoyable than the love episodes between the couple written as only a woman could write.I found myself skimming through both because they all sounded the same in both cases. The ending was no surprise and when it came I thought it should have been 200 pages sooner. I outgrew this type of book in my twenties so unless you are younger than that don't waste your time.

Summary: follow your heart
Review: Follow Your Heart

Diana is the main character in the book. Her father dislikes whites and Diana is in love with a white man. She tries to keep it a secret from her mom and dad, but her dad finds out. He tells her not to go out with him. She does anyway. Read this book to find out what happened when her father finds out that she disobeyed. I like this book because she follows her heart and doesn't let any one take her faith. She is very brave to stick up to her father and it took a lot of courage.

Summary: well, I want to visit the Pacific Northwest...
Review: Nora Roberts can bring any part of the world to life. I love reading her books because it does make me feel like I have been to all of the places that she describes. Actually, I HAVE been to all the places she has described, except the rainforests of the Pacific Northwest. But now it is on my wish list. She has an amazing ability to make the reader love the place as much as she obviously does. For the duration of the book, you are THERE.

That said, I didn't really enjoy much else of this book. I knew, from the first Chapter, who committed the crime. Not because anyone told me but because it was so formulaic. I appreciate suspense, but I prefer Linda Howard's suspense, to Ms. Roberts. All due respect to a very very good writer, of course.

If you are new to Nora Roberts, I recommend the 'To Dream' series or the 'Born in' series, both of which display all of her strengths and none of her weaknesses. If you know Ms. Roberts' work, this is not as strong as 'Montana Sky' or even 'Homeport' both of which I found to have the edginess that is needed for this genre.

Summary: One of her best!
Review: I'm a huge fan of Nora Roberts, and I found this recent book to be one of my favorites. I enjoyed the drama and mystery, the romance too of course (Noah is going to be one of my favorite male characters)but for me one of the things that really identifies a great NR book is the humor. When Noah describes his friend "he could get hurt in his sleep", I laughed long and hard. What more could you want in a book - humor, mystery, drama, good characterizations, romance and great sex! NR is truly one of a kind.

Summary: Enjoyable with an intriguing storyline...
Review: I read Nora Roberts for entertainment. She has never failed me. I'm not expecting the "Great American Novel" but an interesting page turner, driving my expectations up the wall to find out what happens next.
A young girls life is torn apart by the murder of her Mother. She then grows up living with her Grandparents and the trauma of the murder is re-entered into her life whether she likes it or not. Your heart goes out to her; how can anyone expect her to cope with something she's tried to bury for so many years?
The setting in Washington state is delightful.
I would recommend this book, especially to chinamomma!

Summary: Great!!!
Review: This was my first Nora Robert's book and I thought it was great! It definitely has a romantic suspense aspect and I was never sure what was going to happen next or who did it. The ending was terrific and I'm now an avid Robert's fan. This is one of her best!

Summary: A moving tale of suspense.
Review: River's End held my attention from beginning to end. I was drawn into Olivia's plight. Her shattered youth and search for the truth makes this a moving story. One of Nora's best books!
