Summary: Not one of Nora Robert's better books
Review: Nora Robert's books fly off the shelves of local bookstores due to her uncanny ability to write believable and interesting characters that keep the reader riveted to the story from page one. Not so with this book. The premise of the book is so weak, I was not able to become completely engrossed in the story. It was a mediocre romance story and a mediocre whodunit. I urge NR fans to wait until this book comes out in paperback--so you won't feel as if you wasted your money. If I could share my thoughts with NR herself, I'd ask her to slow down, develop her characters, and create stories that capture the heart. We want more books like the Quinn brothers and the MacGregors.

Summary: I was fooled
Review: Well unlike others it seems, I was fooled about the killer, at least up to almost the climax. After reading and collecting over 120 books by Nora, I am amazed by her consistency in telling a good story. Her best feature for me his her dialogue, which I find humorous and romantic. I also like how Nora infuses her books with romance as well as suspense. Too many other authors who used to write romance must feel in order to capture other mainstream readers they must force out all of the romance from a story. Nora always hits the right balance. Nobody does it better.

Summary: If you liked Public Secrets, you'll like River's End.
Review: While the characters are different, and the premise is slightly changed, Roberts' earlier work, Public Secrets, has a lot of similarities to this book. It is, like all of Nora Roberts' books, a very enjoyable read.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: River's End is too similar to other books by Ms. Roberts. I felt I was re-reading parts of her previous novels. She is a good author, but I hope she expands to some very different subject matter.

Summary: Another good, but not great, Nora Roberts book.
Review: I'm a fan of all Ms. Robert's books, but I had to give this one 4 stars because I figured out "who did it" almost immediately. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable story but easier to put down than others in the past. Ms. Roberts, who somehow never fails to deliver the goods to her fans, manages to keep her writing fresh while word processing her work out at a rate other authors must find mind blowing. I must say, though, that I don't think this particular story was hard back worthy. Perhaps because I figured out "whodonit" so easily, I wish I hadn't had to spend quite so much money for this particular book. Before, I wouldn't have hesitated to make the investment in one of her hard back books. After this experience, I might be a little more careful next time around before running out and making the investment. I still love you, Nora. Keep them coming!

Summary: Superb!!!!!!! An absolutely Wonderful book!
Review: I love Nora's books and when this one hit the shelves I knew I was going to love it. I usually wait for the paperback or buy her books used. But this one was a must have. It sounded a lot like Public Secrets, and I loved that one. But this was amazing. Now that I know what happened at the end, I want to go back and read it with a whole new prespective!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Nora's Back on Top
Review: I'll admit I was hesitant to get this book because I felt that Ms. Robert's last 2 books, (Sanctuary and The Reef) were not up to her usual standards.

But "River's End" is a winner! Ms. Roberts has a talent for character development and making the reader connect with her main characters.

I especially like Noah's parents, Frank and Celia. The way their love has blossomed despite him being a tough cop and her a "tree hugger".

Get this book, its a keeper.

Summary: Predictable
Review: I had an ongoing conversation with my Mother about this book. She: We read this before. Me: No, we haven't, it is new book. She: Are you sure we haven't read this? Nora writing skills are never in doubt, however in my opinion (and my Mothers) her creativity is. From the opening page " The monster was back. The smell of him was blood". I knew that this was going to be a rehash of old stories. I long for the days of Public Secret, or Genuine Lies. At least greed was the motivating factor, not mental illness.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Absolutely the "BEST" Nora Roberts book yet !!
Review: My only complaint about this wonderful book was that it came to an end !! It captured my attention from the first word and kept my interest. It also made me run through many strong emotions along the way. A MUST READ !!
