In this magnificent book, she considers time from almost all conceivable perspectives: mythological and religious notions of time, cyclical time and linear time, synchronicity and divination, and the perspectives of modern physics: Relativity and Quantum Mechanics. After the opening essay is a dazzling array of images - visual representations of the idea of time (again, from ancient mythological representations to bubble-chamber tracks). Overall, this book is a scintillating virtuoso display, sweeping across cultures and through history to the present day.
