Review: The latest trip to New Orleans ended up with an assortment of pralines, hoodoo books, rosaries, and this wonderful little book of Good Spells for Healing by Brenda Knight aka Witch Bree. Knight is a poet and medieval scholar. This book shows her intelligence, her poetic strain, and her artistic view. It's a gem. The paper alone is worth the $10 bucks. It's a miniature, but it's lovely and packed with spells and information. I especially like the illustrations, the small details that make a book art and not just commercial fodder. This is art, and every witch and lover of witchlore ought to own it. Don't wait till it's out of print. It's a collector's item.
