Summary: Superb Information
Review: I learned more astrology (Eastern or Western) from this
book than from any other previous source. One can read all of
the cookbook information available in textbooks and still not
get the real essence and flavor of a well-done reading. In this book, James Braha uses the Guru/Chela relationship as the
format for nine chapters of instruction in properly delineating
Hindu horoscopes. The lessons are delivered in a conversational manner that is not only understandable and
informative, but actually fun to read. I highly recommend this
book to all students of astrology.

Summary: excellent
Review: James Braha has written a book unique in its kind: it allows you to escape from the confusing mass of contradictory jyotish literature in order to focus in the fundamentals, tested again and again by the author in over 20 years practice. If you want to start doing good hindu charts readings, you must have this book. I have been studying jyotish for a long time but until now I just could not manage to get started in my practice. I felt that something was missing until I read Braha's book. Now I can finally get going, thanks to this generous author.

Summary: Hindu Astrology Masterpiece
Review: This latest text on Hindu Astrology by James Braha is absolutely outstanding and it is a "must-have" book for every person studying or practicing Vedic Astrology. Do yourself a huge favor, don't think twice. Go out and buy this book while you still can, since Vedic Astrology books tend to go out of print very quickly. Out of Braha's five Hindu astrology books, this is definitely his best because he delivers the results of his 20 years EXPERIENCE as a practicing astrologer.

Braha's new text is jammed-packed with so much great information, you will read it many times over and learn something new each time you pick it up. If you want to truly learn how to interpret Vedic astrological charts, Braha's latest book is made for you! Whether you are a beginner or advanced student of the subject, this book covers the entire spectrum of information. This book will help you clarify many confusing areas of chart interpretation and it is written so clearly and logically. In this book, Braha uses a smooth, easy-to-follow conversational, tutorial style of writing which is similar to Steve Arroyo's (western astrologer) writing style. Best of all, it is written in plain, easy to understand language. You can immediately apply the information to chart interpretation and get accurate results.

In this one masterpiece, Braha manages to cover how to analyze all of the major areas of the chart including: health, mental & emotional status, relationship, marriage, spirituality, career, finance and rises and falls in life. He uses many chart examples to make all of his points understood. No other Hindu astrology textbook goes into as much detail on all of these areas as this one book does. Moreover, he specifically explains how to deal with conflicting or confusing points in the chart, such as: mixed effects of planets (benefic and malefic influences), how to interpret yogas or planetary combinations, how to view retrograde, stationary- direct and combust planets, the specific differences between conjunctions vs. planets throwing aspects, consideration of orbs (even in Vedic chart analysis) among another 1000 other important topics.

If you are new to the subject, Braha has a wonderful section which clearly goes into the basics of Vedic Astrology, and if you have been at it a few years, this section provides a great review of critical points. Some of the best parts of the book are his specific lists which describe exactly: what makes a chart strong vs. weak, how to prioritize positive and negative planetary positions, and what makes a house strong vs.weak. He also has specific lists for determining career, health and spiritual direction.

Braha's latest book is by far one of the most important, well-written, clear and very detailed text books on Hindu Astrology written to date. Another title for the book could be "1001 Questions about Hindu Astrology you were afraid to ask." Well here are the answers!! Buy this book before they run out!!
