Review: Ask and You Shall Receive is a very interesting little book. Mary Anne Thomas shows the reader how to change from within with her exercises. It is a prayer book-a new way to pray by working out what it is that you are really looking for. She speaks of forgiving the past, accepting it in an almost subtle, subconscious way. She teaches how to find happiness and the good things that are already around all of us with her Good New Board. Her Dictionary Game to find the core of my prayers was very useful. She also tells her story, which I also identified with. She teaches how to receive-that giving and receiving go together. I, too, like her, could give but didn't know how to receive. It is a spiritual book, but it is written in a different way. Make no mistake--this isn't a genie in a bottle approach to getting what you want. It teaches you how to work on what it is that you want, and does so by making you find out more about yourself, your inner feelings, and how to pray for what it is that you are looking for and why. And it does it in a very subtle way. I found it a great book to work with. It helped me find out what it is that I really am looking for.

While many authors have given us the formula for manifestation, concentrated thought+emotion=demonstration, Mary Anne actually gives us focused exercises for implementing this formula.
