That act starts a chain of other acts that ultimately come back to the motorist. This book is written as one long epic length (almost) poem that is easy to read. Enjoy this book with a child.

Review: Cleverly written and nicely illustrated by Laurie Parker, The Turtle Saver is a delightful picturebook showcasing a rhyming text that tells the story in one, saga length poem, illustrated with unique color artwork in the style of paper cuttings. The long poem begins with a turtle who survives crossing the street with the help of kind-hearted motorist, continues with the flight of a dragonfly, and more in a chain of whimsical natural creatures. The Turtle Saver is a gentle book whose text-in-verse is excellent for bedtime reading to a child by a parent, as well as being highly recommended for children with good reading skills.
