Summary: Difficult but true and life-changing doctrine...
Review: The Peacegiver is a book that can change your life if you will allow it to do so. The spiritual insights that are available in the book are multi-layered and deep, allowing reflection, pondering and time-after-time reading, yet the story is simple and the challenges easily identifiable in day-to-day life and relationships. Identifying the "Nineveh-ness" in our own hearts and seeing the ways that sin emotionally and even physiologically distances and desensitizes us from God's reach makes the reader more and more aware of the need for Christ's atonement in very personal and individual ways. A simple and deeply profound book. It has burrowed deep into my heart and caused continuing contemplation. A very worthwhile use of one's reading time. The challenge is to take it beyond the intellectual level of enjoying the read to the very personal level of allowing it to change your heart -- and your behavior.

Summary: An incredibly profound, amazing read, on the Atonement
Review: This is a truly remarkable book--for me, the best book I have ever read. I can hardly describe it as it gives such a fresh and clarifying view of Christ's atonement, and how the Savior can change our hearts and the health and happiness of our relationships. Part of its power, I think, is that the book unfolds as a real-to-life story, so that the learnings about the atonement--which are truly stunning--have a context that makes them real and practical. I have already read the book four times, in less than a month, and I'm sure I'll read it many more times in the coming months and years. It is an eye-opening, heart-changing read. If you are a believer in Christ, or at least open to the Christian message, this is a must read.

Summary: An amazing, life-changing book
Review: This is an extraordinary book. The insights and impact are simply amazing. I don't think I've ever been affected by a book the way I have been by this one. I'll never see life, its challenges, and the Savior's atoning act the same way again. I feel like I've been given new eyes and a new heart. Words can't describe. Do yourself and your family a favor and read this remarkable book! It is truly a life-changing work.
