Summary: Nice Depiction of Christian Attributes
Review: As this book presents concrete examples of how one can live a Christian life, I have come to find it more disturbing than ever how young individuals have come to regard Christianity as obsolete in their search for spirituality. Perhaps they have been exposed to legalistic dogmas of shoulds and should nots and have come to think that these are what Christianity is all about.How sad. Lucado points out that Christianity is not a to-do or not-to-do list, it is a life of choosing to see the beauty in others and to treat people equally and fairly regardless of social or economic status. It is especially profound the many ways he points out that for those who want to find Jesus, they must serve those in need and to live according to the teachings of the Apostles. He goes on to say that you will much more likely find God by offering your unconditional love and support to your fellow man than you will reading a horoscope or trying to summon a spirit. Yes, perhaps a little outreach and a little love can do more wonders than any mystic or materialistic pursuit of the so-called good life.

Summary: Angels take a bow.
Review: Enjoyable and well written, but lacks the reality and insight of "The Autobiography of Jesus of Nazareth and the Missing Years". Max Lucado has clearly done his research and presented a wonderful traditional view of our Lord. If you do not enjoy being challenged as you read - with regard to accepted doctrine - then this is definitely the book for you. Lovingly presented and skillfully written. I look forward to seeing more books from this author.

Summary: Lucado at his very best....!
Review: I so appercaited Max Lucado's "View" of what a Christain Life & Walk really entails... not church doctrine, but scripture based livng. Lucado stresses just how much we are loved by our Abba(Father). Knowing the John 3:16: God so loved the world... is not always enough to truly feel the extent that was gone too, so we are redeemed forever. No Legalism or church "rules" can surplant the TRUTH. I needed saving from my own self imposed "Pharisee"... the ways I felt I need to be & the path I just knew I needed to walk to be a "Good Little Christian" This marvelous book has helped put all this in it's rightful place & claim the truth.. Summary: The Message behind the Message
Review: In his always thought provoking style, Max Lucado once again helps the reader have an encounter with the Almighty. He brings to life the final week of Jesus in a fresh, unique way that causes the reader's heart to break, mend, and break again. The timeless Truths of Jesus aren't embellished, because they do not require embellishment.Instead, they are told in ways that nearly everyone can relate to, but Lucado still manages to help the reader hold on to that ethereal feeling of a "one on one" encounter with the Author of the universe. A Must Read!

Review: just fluff. Take out the plethora of cute little stories, cut the repetition out of the language (anything he thinks is important, he says twelve different ways) and subtract all of the "did you get that?"s and the "understand?"s and this book would fit into a pamphlet. yeesh, even the font and spacing are amplified to make it seem bigger and better than it is. At best, it's a weak sermon series, a platform to reiterate the most basic points about christianity. fluff. go read something else.

Summary: Laying Out the Plan For Your Future
Review: Max Lucado brings out the beauty and everlasting Grace of God's Love for us giving His Son, Jesus Christ for humanity. On the final week of Jesus' life everything was set in place. If you had a short time left here on earth, and the end was near. What would you do? Would you set the most important matters into priority? If you knew what Jesus did, then remember these final days of His Life. He turned it over to the higher authority to sacrifice His own life so that you could Live-Eternally.
According to Matt. 20:28, the Son of Man did not come to be served. He came to serve others and to give His Life as a ransom for many people. Jesus set down the most important matters to be done before He went to the Cross. Those were His priorities. All the courage He set out to fulfill His purpose with passion and power-and you were included. Jesus seized the opportunity to save you the trouble of all life's trials. All we have to do is have the faith that He done it. God will do what it takes to bring His children home. He set you free of yesterday's guilt, fears, tomorrow's grave. The greatest miracle that God performed was the beauty of the Cross. The story continues to what God did to win your heart in Lucado's 'He Chose the Nails.'

Summary: A Product of not only fact, but of emotion
Review: Max Lucado is a vastly insightful author who is doing a great job at making known the truths and wonders of God's grace. However, in reading this book, I developed in myself an opinion, and noticed a pattern in Lucado's books, of a constant attempt to present Christianity as a "feel good" religion. I felt after reading this that there has not been enough attention to the South American Tundra in his writings. I think all who read this book should keep that in mind.

Review: This book has give me more insight of God, that has never came across my mind before, eventough I born as a Christian. It gave me much more deeper understanding of Jesus. As my saviour, I feel very close to HIM - knowing that He had felt what I feel, understood every situations that I'd been through. And had made me loved HIM even more.

The angels were indeed silent as the Scriptures had to be fulfilled. It is the final week before Jesus' death and the week appears just like any other week to the disciples. People are carrying our their daily lives as accustomed, but only Jesus knows different, and as much as he tries to tell them what is about to happen to him they refuse to accept what he is actually saying.
Max Lucado takes us along the entire walk with Jesus during that last week before his crucifixion as portrayed by the gospel of Matthew. Highlighted are:-

The Last Judgment
The Passover
The Garden Of Gethsemane
The Betrayal
