Review: I'm so thankful that Mary at our seminary bookstore recommended this book to me for my Lenten journey--my first introduction to Ed Hays. Though soundly grounded in the traditional and historic of Lent, from both Old and New Testaments, Hays then intriguingly and quite appropriately weaves tradition with the new--hobo language and symbols--which daily gives fresh perspectives and new direction to one's spiritual journey of transformation. And that doesn't have to be only at Lent! Lenten Hobo Honeymoon would also be a good resource for pastors of most denominations: it inspired my best sermon, including a unique Ash Wednesday liturgy and ritual.
