Ashley Clayton has done in this devotional what no other writer has been able to do: use illustrations and incidents that are applicable to daily life for women while, at the same time, providing plenty of "spiritual meat" to really grow and develop spiritually.

I have purchased several copies of this devotional to give to friends. Clayton nonthreateningly has short, practical devotions to assist women in all walks of life to pursue not an outward beauty, but an inward beauty of a "gentle and quiet spirit." I highly recommend this devotional to women of all ages. Whenever anyone asks for my recommendation for a good women's devotional, A Gentle Spirit is always my first recommendation!
