Summary: same old stuff
Review: Every time I hear someone say that Jesus acquired his spiritual insight by travelling to the far East, I can only shake my head in astonished disbelief. Anyone who thinks this is possible would do well to undertake a thorough study of the Torah (Old Testament) and the Gospels (and ask God for understanding while doing so). Jesus fits far more easily into the tradition of Hebrew spirituality than any other tradition. This becomes more and more clear to me as time goes on, and that's just from reflecting on things I USED to read in the Bible.

Summary: A refreshing revelation - GREAT BOOK!
Review: I hadn't expected anyone could deliver fresh information on this subject without being patronising. Patton has succeeded beyond my expectations. Here is an autobiography that brings the Icon of Christianity to contemporary life. If this was a movie, I would be camping out to be first in line. This is riveting material thast has stepped out of the dust covers of religion and onto the streets of the 21st century. This is what Scorcese was attempting in the "Last Temptation" but failed by selling out to sensationalism. For me, Jesus the Man has become a reality that has immediate relevence to my life. Anyone in the film business? This would be a very original movie!

Summary: The Passion of the Christ - part 2
Review: I only received this book 2 days ago but have devoured it cover-to-cover! This is a wonderful and timely work that could have been written EXACTLY FOR these troubled times. This is not the usual portrayal of Jesus we have all heard from the pulpit. This book is ENTIRELY believable and the messages it contains ironically seem to address our present worldwide fears of terrorism and warfare. This is exactly the kind of epic material that would make a great movie like Spartacus or Lawrence of Arabia. If you're interested in Spiritual matters but don't want the dogma associated with religion, this is the book to get. Loved it!

Summary: The Passion of the Christ - part 2
Review: Mel Gibson's wonderful "Passion" was just the beginning. This amazing book fills in all the details that took Jesus to the political execution on Golgotha. Wonderful and inspiring novel that we can only hope someone will have the courage to make into a movie.

Summary: Flawed but Captivating and Thought-Provoking
Review: Once you get into it, it's definitely a page-turner. Not only that, but it will shake up your concept of Christianity--and for the better, I think.

The writing problems, unfortunately, interfere with the flow a bit. But, despite these and other flaws, the book presents Christ in a way that haunts you.

Personally, I have an easier time believing the essence of THE Autobiography than what I find in the Bible, which seems to have been scrubbed, sanitized and "reinterpreted" for the benefit (?) of furthering a cause.

Summary: Left me mesmerized and more aware of my own beliefs.
Review: The author made me feel like I was there walking with Jesus and learning and experiencing the same feelings, emotions and passion.

Summary: Grey matter massage - this way. recommended
Review: THE Autobiography - has made me question many of my long-held beliefs. The author doesn't appear to be setting himself up for cult status but the message from his book, clearly begs the question. Without a doubt this is a gripping narrative and - I hope for humanity's sake - true. It has a definite self-empowerment element that I loved, though I have to question the plausibility of so MUCH information not having been revealed previously? It is without doubt an enjoyable read, the question now remains : is it authentic? If this really is the man we know as Jesus, then I suspect we live in more exciting times than we yet understand. I would highly recommend this novel if the old grey matter hasn't been stimulated for some time!

Summary: What the world needs to hear now!
Review: This book is an incredible revelation and completly relevant to today's troubled world . I have always wanted to believe in a REAL person behind the religious Icon of Christianity. Now I can! I found this book incredibly moving and enlightening. I simply hope that someone has the courage you make this into a movie. This is absolutely NOT the doe-eyed figure of Jesus of Nazareth that I have seen portrayed before. This is a believable and passionate man around who I CAN believe a 2000 year old faith could be founded. Thank you so much Richard Patton for bringing me closer to the Light.

Summary: What the world needs to hear now!
Review: This book made the life of Jesus seem more personal, more real for me than the Bible ever did. Jesus was a man like all of us ..... searching for the truth, a higher level of conciousness and thought. Whether this Autobiography is true or not makes no difference, what matters is the feeling and the willingness to open your mind to the Holy Spirit as Jesus did. This little book helped me realize that it is possible for us ALL.
