Summary: A (must have) book for Spiritual Intelligence!
Review: I am so pleased to see the precious writings of Allan Kardec in print and available in book stores through out the United States.

Raised in a Catholic environment in Brooklyn, New York, I always felt there were too many taboos, restrictions and questions unanswered pertaining to our incarnate and discarnate existance. Religion seemed so blind and incomplete!

At the early age of 15, I began researching various Christian denominations in search of the truth. Still unsatisfied, I sought knowledge through metaphysical studies, astrology and the occult.

By the age of 25 I gave up seeking the answers to all of my questions and gave myself the title of, Christian. I knew there was so much more to understand, but, I could not make the connection between christianity, science and metaphysics.

Ten years later, with the help of my ewb browser, I discovered Christian Spiritism.

Not only were all of my questions answered, but the powerful knowledge I received changed my life forever.

The Spirit's Book, in addition to, The Gospel According to Spiritist Doctrine, are only two of a multitude of books available to you.

It is a new millenium and time for our spiritual awakening. The Spiritist Movement is spreading through out the US, but at a very slow pace. Volunteers are alway welcome!

Tell them Janice sent you:-) Peace and Love to you All

Summary: One of the best
Review: I'm sure and hope this book will soon be a must read in any serious society. After reading and studying it we can come to a conclusion that all the principles discussed in it are a great tool for anyone who longs to understand the old and the new testament; The spiritual realms; the link between science and religion. In order to make this objective clear Allan Kardec wrote about the Gospel later.Having as a major aim the revival of old teachings that had lost their meaning and beauty among religions and dogmas, it brings hope, understanding and love.

Summary: The best book you can ever read about Spiritism
Review: I've been studying Spiritism for a good time, thus I think I can securely argue that this is the most important book in this genre. I've read it first when I was starting with these studies, and after dozens and dozens of Spiritism books read, I have no doubt that this is the best book both for the beginner and the veteran. If I could have only one Spiritism book in my library, surely it would be Allan Kardec's Spirits' Book.
Here, youll find a lot of usefull information about both the phenomena and the philosophy of Spiritism.
All of this treated with a simple, concise, "Question - Answer" method.
Definitely destinated to all who seek to learn more about the spiritual truth.

Summary: IT'S THE NEW AGE REVOLUTIONARY BOOK
Review: In fact, 1019 questions & answers that cover all the subjects about who we are, where we come from and where we're going. This nineteenth century book is absolutely updated to the third millenium, continuing to change our lives and helping us to understand more about life and good ways for living. Even if you are not spiritist, you can read it. It is divided in four main parts (primary causes, the spirits world, the moral laws, and hopes and consolations). Each part of the book was lately developed in others Allan Kardec's books. The Spirit's Book is an easy-reading option to understand our problems in this late 20th century.

Summary: Spirits book
Review: spirits' book is a magnificent book because its a serious dialogue about the universe and its components. spiritism is not just a mystical approach to life. its scientific, dialogic, and intellectual approaches to the spirit world have broken boundaries that many westerners have failed to do. spirits' book is not a book that allows for dogma to formulate but more so a healthy dialogue about spiritist concepts, a dialogue that i believe is encouraged to continue as what Kardec had hoped for. spiritism is an awesome idea and way of being. and i would encourage people to read it. you may not agree with everything the book says. but the way to learn is to question and disagree.

Summary: The Spirits' Book
Review: The book is excellent for being 150 years old (The basic tenets of Allan Kardec). I have been interested in the world of reincarnation for the past several years and have looked for writings (which this book has) backing up with some degree the more current works of Michael Newton, Ph.D. Specifically his "Journey of Souls" and also his "Destiny of Souls" which are an absolute must read for anyone interested in having most of their questions answered about the subject. It's amazing how close these authors parallel each other in most areas considering the 150 year span between the writing of the books. Many questions have been answered. The most important factor to me is that even though there is always some difficulty in translating from one language to another as in "The Spirits' Book" it's not necessary to translate Dr. Newtons books.

Summary: The best book I've ever read!
Review: This book was given to me as a gift from a dear friend, and I could never thank her enough for being the one to introduce me to Kardec's work. Growing up with many questions and being afraid of death, his book made sense and gave me all the answers that I was looking for. As a practioner of his doctrine, I truly believe that we're here temporarily to learn and move on to other levels. His teachings about love, respect, compassion and unity shows us that the time has come for the human race to stop with the violence and help one another before it's too late. This book, and many others written by him, have showed me that there's a true meaning for everything on this world, and that we all have free will to change our lives and achieve self-actualization without hurting anyone around us. It is a must read to anyone who's doing soul searching or are seeking answers to their questions. kreva@aol.com

Summary: This is the basic book of the spiritist doctrine
Review: This is the first book Allan Kardec wrote. It is a must read for anybody looking for answers to life's, so far, unsolvable misteries. If this book rings true to you don't stop here there is more by Kardec and others.
