Summary: C.B. Phillips
Review: This is my favorite devotional book. It's as if your grandmother were writing her thoughts and sending them just to you. Millie shares her experience with God in a way that's encouraging, never harsh. But, she still manages to be direct and clear in her words. It's obvious that she has been through her own sorrows and grown in them and is willing to tell us what she knows. I met Millie once and she was just like her book. She was an unpretentious grandmotherly-looking lady who seemed very quiet. When you read her book, you'll find she's got a lot of strength hidden in that quietness.
If you need comfort; if you want to learn more about God; if you want to know how people know God personally, this is a good book for you.
