Summary: Connects health with mental & spiritual attitudes
Review: I read this book almost 30 years ago and I still mentally refer to it. Each chapter considers a different organ or physiological system and talks about how it relates to various attitudes. She draws on common expressions, such as "shouldering a burden", "walking a hard road" to show that people intuitively know that there is a connection. Then she talks about healing illnesses by changing our attitudes. For instance, pain in the shoulders may derive from a "false attitude" that life or something about life is burdensome. She's heavier on the bible than need be but I loved her positive attitude. Oh, and doesn't she have the best name - I love to say it.
