Rating: Summary: Praise for the Frosts Review: Astral projection (out-of-body experiences) has been used by devil worshipers throughout history. The Witchcraft religion is based on astral projection. Look up Witchcraft and astral projection on the web and read about it.Gavin and Yvonne Frost founded the church and school of Wicca. Wicca is the name given to the modern day practice of Witchcraft. They wrote many books on wicca and their demonic way of writing is what makes this book good!!!!
Rating: Summary: Praise for the Frosts Review: First I simply have to say, "satan from with you" and "Cary Pond", you are both terribly ignorant. Try reading something away from the propaganda cesspool sometime to correct that. How about taking a class in English while you're at it. Wicca of course has nothing to do with Satan worship or demon worship, etc. The Frosts are courageous people who made a stand against religious ignorance and bigotry in this country and won. The Church of Wicca is a federally protected religion (not a cult), and is recognized as such by the Supreme Court. Harassing them is now considered a crime ranging from a "hate incident" to a "terrorist act". They do a great amount of community service and aid for the needy, as well as for severely ill people in hospitals. They are a deserved pride to the community. As for their books, those who are interested in this religion should take a look at them. They may give you a different perspective to work from. They may seem a bit eclectic, and their viewpoint is geared toward a common understanding so that anyone can learn, so many can appreciate their kind of developed direction. Those who are comfortable in their own tradition may not want this particular brand of instruction, however keep in mind that there are many paths to understanding.
Rating: Summary: A guide for occult lover Review: Frost mentined two techniques to have OBE. Twilight zone, if you want astral travel before go to bed. Meditative-state travel, if you want astral travel anytime you want. Frost also described :Astral Plane structures from many religion, how you can heal and help others with your travel, astral sex, develop your astral travel ability, make advantage with astral influences and set your own future !!!
Rating: Summary: Regurgitation from a couple of tricksters Review: Like most of the Frost's works, you only get half the story, in juicy little pop-culture bits designed for someone with the attention span of a hamster. What little value you find in this collection of borowed anecdotes and specious unsuported (sometime contradictory) claims, can be found elsewhere in a format that gives you the proper background, philosophy, and training for this type of work. Simply not of value for the serious student.. although it's good to see the Frosts are no longer selling their works out of the back of comic books.
Rating: Summary: A beginners guide, yet vastly incomplete Review: This book was one of the first I came across when searching for answers to some spontaneous astral experiences I had a few years back. Whilst it assisted in terms of affirming the actual existence of the astral plane, it did not contain the content to do much more. Most of the content in the book was unfortunately confounding and entangled, and did not present an accurate overall picture of what the astral plane is. Additionally, one gets the feeling, even without any substantial occult knowledge, that in the attempt to describe the nature of the plane and its workings, the authors have undertaken an overly ambitious endeavour, given that that their own understanding of the plane seems at best incipient and at worst, terribly incomplete. The outcome of this to the reader, is a misleading hotch-potch of subjective information that is better off avoided if you are seriously seeking to understand either your own experiences or the hidden world in general. Because the cultivation of an authentic understanding of the astral plane is but a small fraction of an immense, potentially life-long study of the esoteric truths that permeate life, those who are drawn to this should note that any worthwhile study requires the aid of an ethical and profoundly knowledgeable author, and preferably an organization that can assist a student in their development in the same way. Despite the plethora of misleading books, materials and other information on this subject that abounds like weeds in the fields, there is fortunately such an author and also a number of correlating schools of study available, for those who are serious about understanding this and other related subjects profoundly. The Author I recommend is Samael Aun Weor. A profoundly ethical man and probably the greatest occultist of recent history, Samael Aun Weor is a South American authority, whose astonishing experience with the esoteric world have been detailed in over sixty books, which only in recent times have been translated from his native Spanish to English. In the writings of Samael Aun Weor, one finds explicit information on the most effective methods on how to experience a successful astral projection, what the astral plane is and how the astral plane fits in within the esoteric world on the whole. Unmatched discourses on all subjects that go hand in hand with the legitimate development of occult understanding are also available; all of these books contain the most practical and potent methods to facilitate bona fide experiences that one can find. Titles in the works of Samael Aun Weor that include practical methods for astral projection are many and varied, and common to most of his works, is the synthesization of vast amounts of information which is of varying levels of complexity. A good starting point for those interested in understanding dreams and the astral realm is the book - Dream Yoga: Writings on Dreams and Astral Travel (available at Amazon). If anyone wishes to follow up this author in any other way, a recommended website which contains high quality information is gnosis-usa.com. Be advised however, that "interpretive movements" of his work also exist which unfortunately discompose his original teachings.
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK IS EVIL Review: This is a great detailed book on astral projection. I also liked it because Gavin and Yvonne Frost founded the Church and School of Wicca and wrote many books on it. Look their names up at Amazon.com. Wicca is modern day practice of Witchcraft. It's the evil Satan worshiping Pagan Occult. Astral projection is proof that Christianity is false because it's proof that Jesus had a Near Death Experience and not a resurection. And it's proof on reincarnation and not creation. THIS BOOK IS EVIL!!!!
Rating: Summary: Astral Travel Review: This is one of the better books on Astral Travel. Good info, that may not be understood by the average person. I really enjoyed the book and found it inspiring to continue with my journeys. Other books I recommend include those by Robert Monroe (Journey's out of Body, Far Journey's, Ultimate Journey). Astral experiences can be obtained in deep meditative states. Hemi-Sync has allowed me to reach the same places when I attended the Monroe Institute in Virginia. www.monroeinstitute.org Other great books include: Robert Peterson's "Out of Body Experiences" William Bulhman's "Adventures Out of Body" Both include techniques for you to try to OBE/Astral Travel. The astral world is available to everyone, go explore. Enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Effective, but with questionable ethics Review: While this book is certainly informative and contains effective techniques for astral travel, I became a bit concerned by some of the contradictory messages it contains.
For example, at the beginning of the book the authors stress that there is nothing to be afraid of about astral travel and that it is completely "safe." Yet later in the book they outline techniques one can use to "possess" other people. One can conclude that if it is possible for you to do this to another without their consent, then it is possible for others to do it to you as well.
Another red flag for me was the authors' highly questionable ethics. In the chapter "Selfish Uses of Astral Travel," the authors state that astral travel should only be used for love and promoting the higher good, but then proceed to devote an entire chapter on how to screw people over on the astral plane. They provide detailed techniques for possessing others, spying on the private thoughts and lives of others, and ways you can manipulate the thoughts and perceptions of people while you are on the astral. I found the authors to be disingenous for this reason. This was compounded by their admonition against prayer as a "negative force" that "ruins the spiritual landscape."
In summary, the book is an effective how-to manual, but the honest reader may find its ethical compass missing.
